I have been a resident for 4 weeks and have found my stay very pleasant and physically I have improved considerably. The staff have been very pleasant and supportive and the facilities are excellent. I have not taken part in many of the activities.
The food has generally been reasonable but occasionally
not to my taste.

Pear Tree House in Wesham is a first class care home. Excellent staff/food/carers/nurses. Nothing is too much trouble and I have been impressed by the organisation of my mum's care. Pear Tree is the best home I have seen and know that everything is being done for mum's wellbeing/comfort/quality of life.
No reservations in recommending Pear Tree.

My grandad is well supported by caring staff who have worked to develop a connection with him. I feel reassured he is looked after by competent and trained staff. His room is clean and modern. The food seems to be of good quality, his only complaint would be that there should be more lamb on the menu.

My mum has stayed for respite periods of up to 8 weeks at a time (for roughly 2 years now) and she has always been well cared for and treated with respect. The rooms at The Pear Tree House are homely, modern and clean and have comfy beds, TVs, mini-fridge, ensuite bathroom and nice views of the garden.
The premises are always kept clean and tidy and they have a lobby that resembles a hotel lobby. There are no unpleasant odours and it always smells fresh. The Pear Tree was decorated in a lovely fashion at Christmas which is fantastic for residents and relatives. There is a hair salon, small cinema and several lounges, garden rooms and dining areas. Food is lovely and residents have menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a snack menu which can be requested. The care home has good and easy access to GPs, chiropodists and opticians, so this is a major benefit. The home is also secure, so people can't leave or have access without staff permission. I feel very content for them to look after my mum.

My mother has been a resident of Rossendale House for just over a year now. She is very well looked after and has a good relationship with all staff members. My uncle is happy and safe. He is well cared for and treated with respect from all members of staff. They understand his needs and therefore are able to reassure him if he needs it.
The staff are also good at ensuring we are happy with his care and keep us informed of any changes.

Pear Tree House is a lovely warm, welcoming place with a sincerely caring staff. Each resident is treated with great respect and as an individual, any idiosyncrasies are known and dealt with without problem. Every person employed there knows the name of each resident and engages readily with them, they
are also kind and helpful to visitors.
My Dad has been a resident since November 2024 and I am confident that he is happy and content there. His strength has improved and he is encouraged to do what he is able to do with the knowledge and reassurance that there is always somebody there to help. His carers have given him back his dignity, he is well-groomed, neat and tidy.
Any health issues are dealt with immediately and we are kept well informed of any concerns. The facilities are excellent and the home is constantly being cleaned so it is spotless. The availability and choice of food is amazing with a very dedicated catering staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Pear Tree House.

Mum is being very well looked after and all the staff seem to be genuinely fond of her. The home is spotless and all the staff are kind, courteous, professional and caring. It's very difficult "handing over care" of a much-loved parent to someone else and it takes time for a relative to settle down,
probably more so than for mum. I know that she's safe and being well looked after.

I visit my friend who is nonverbal and uses a wheelchair, the surroundings are very nice, there is a hotel feel about the place, and I love being greeted by the dog, who is super cute.
I get an update from the manager about my friend when I see her, and there are a few of the care team I am getting
to know, who are very attentive.
The centre looks clean, the staff are friendly, there seems to be a good lot of things happening, for residents, and the lounge is very comfortable.

The home has a friendly, homely feel, which is why we chose it. My uncle is well looked after and we are pleased with the care that he receives. He always looks presentable with clean clothes and a tidy appearance.
The staff are always approachable and share information with us. We feel we are able
to discuss any issues and they seem knowledgeable about our uncle.
We have dined there with him and the food is excellent!

My mother moved into Pear Tree House in July 2024. We had viewed a number of alternative homes and I had ongoing experience with other care homes for my mother-in-law. Pear Tree House is a beautiful modern building. The rooms are nicely equipped with modern hospital-style beds and good quality fitted
furniture. The ensuite bathrooms are perfect. The caring staff are established and very kind.
Having seen the alternative homes in the area we are very pleased with our choice and feel happy to recommend the home.

We couldn't be happier with the whole experience at Pear Tree House. Every member of staff that we meet is so welcoming and professional, they treat the residents and visitors alike with respect and kindness. The home and its facilities provide everything that my aunt needs to support her physical and
emotional needs, and we've watched her come out of her shell and relax significantly since she arrived.
It is always a pleasure to visit my aunt now, and I leave knowing that she is in a very good, happy and safe place.
Thank you to all the staff throughout the organisation for all that you do, we really appreciate it.

All staff are very nice and caring to my wife who has Alzheimer's dementia. She is treated with a great deal of respect and I consider Danforth Care home to be the best, possibly, in the North West. All the staff are very helpful in all aspects of care. They are all friendly and cheerful, no matter
what they have had to deal with, regarding difficult people.

My mother is thriving in a caring environment with great carers and staff. There's always something going on with entertainment or activities or days out with themed meals and silver service adding to a great experience at meal times. Mum always looks clean and well dressed with her hair being done
on a regular basis within the premises. Mum always looks comfortable in a homely environment making her stay here as enjoyable as possible. Mum is safe here, warm and well-fed, the basics that you want for a loved one.

No problems with Pear Tree House.
My cousin has been looked after very well since she has been there, October 2023.
The place is lovely and the staff are great.
Every resident was given an Xmas present, which was a lovely thought.
The food is good and the residents can book a room for their birthday
and food is provided for their friends and relatives.
Overall 10/10

My father, 90, was no longer able to live alone due to the onset of dementia. He has been a resident in Meadow Croft since September 2024 and settled in amazingly quickly and he is incredibly happy. I do regular video calls with him so I literally see how he is. The staff have been brilliant. Nothing
is too much trouble. The food is good, the service excellent and the facilities are practical and beautifully decorated. Everything is so clean - the laundry is done daily. He is happy with his bedroom and enjoys the wealth of choice on the large TV with streaming services. He likes to be busy and entertained, so the vast array of activities on offer keeps him on his toes - literally! He has become a champion at drafts, loves dancing (I am amazed) and has a lot of fun with his carers. The atmosphere is very homely and friendly, with a good spirit amongst the residents. I am so relieved I can leave him there, while in Germany, knowing he is well looked after by a very professional, yet friendly team.

My dear friend has been at Meadowcroft for a number of months now and it is lovely to see how settled she is. Her room and the communal areas are clean and spacious and she has been able to bring items in to make her room her own space. The staff are very caring towards the residents whilst enabling
them to be as independent as possible, it is reassuring to see the same group of staff on a regular basis as they have got to know the likes and dislikes of the residents. There are lots of opportunities to be sociable with other residents on a daily basis, eating, exercising, chatting etc if they wish to do so. There are regular events on like singers for remembrance day, Christmas carols, crafts, and visits from animal experiences, the highlight so far was when the Owls came to visit, something she would not have been able to see if she was still at her home. It is so good to know that she is safe and cared for and I look forward to each visit to find out what has been going on.

Dad has been in Meadow Croft for around three months now and has settled very well. The staff are really fantastic, very caring and professional with a lovely warmth about them that makes Dad feel welcome and looked after. We are very reassured by the care that Dad gets which is a huge relief for us.
Meadow Croft is a high-quality care home with a lovely warmth about it, from the fabulous reception and office team through to all the unit managers and all the care staff and support team, everyone is helpful and caring. The rooms, community areas and corridors are spacious and feel like a cross between a high-quality hotel and a lovely, new, cosy home. Everywhere is always immaculate and clean and the food and snacks are excellent quality. The programme of activities are lovely and Dad enjoys joining in with some of them but it is also not compulsory, whilst the residents are encouraged, they don't have to take part. 100%, we would highly recommend Meadow Croft as a five-star, excellent Care Home!
