Figham House

from Andrew R (Friend of Resident) published on 23 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I visited a long standing friend in March 2025, sadly during their last hours. I was really impressed by the way Figham House offered my fried dignity in their most vulnerable hours but also looked after everybody connected with my friend. There was a calm, friendly and respectful environment.
I have
had to visit many care homes over the year and I was struck by the balance of homeliness, cleanliness and contemporary fit out of Figham House. The environment smelt fresh which is not always the case in such establishments. All in all, I felt Figham House looked after my friend, considered their family and was reactive and flexible.

My mum has been a resident at Figham for nearly 3 years. The care she has received throughout her stay has been fantastic. They have treated her as part of a family. I knew if I couldn't visit, they would look after her as well as I did. Having recent experienced their end of life care, I can say that
they went to great lengths to make Mum's last weeks as comfortable as possible and to support us as a family. From giving us space and time to be together as a family, to giving drinks and food whenever we needed it. All the staff were amazing. I can't thank them enough for all they did. It made a difficult time so much easier to cope with. Thank you all.

Crystal Court

from Roger L (Husband of Resident) published on 15 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

On our first visit, when we were first looking for a nursing home, we were impressed with the entrance which is very welcoming and, after a tour, we decided that we would be happy for my wife to be here. She is on the nursing dementia unit. There is significant continuity of staff on this unit which
is very important. The staff become familiar faces and develop a good understanding of each of their residents. The staff smile which to me is a definite positive, implying that they are happy with what they do. There is always a nurse on the unit. As a (daily) visitor I am made welcome. Management are readily accessible and are happy to discuss any issue and do listen to suggestions. I am always happy to recommend Crystal Court when asked by friends.

My mother has been a resident at The Elms Care Home in Louth for some 4-and-a-half years now, and what a handful I know she can be. My mother suffers from vascular dementia, in which I can honestly say is heart renching to see over time. All the staff have shown nothing but empathy, care, and even the
show of love towards her. All staff have made my visits extremely comforting and allowed myself to get closer and closer in her time there. Big love to all staff. Thank you xxx

My mum initially came for respite care however, she has settled in and is happy to be here. We are content knowing that she is safe and well cared for by professional, caring and kind staff. All the staff are kind and engaging with her, and she always looks well cared for and clean. She enjoys the food,
and we feel happy that she is encouraged to eat her meals with the other residents. She enjoys activities like going for a walk down the beck.

Priestley Care Home

from M H (Friend of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I have been to quite a few homes recently and this one is the best by far. The home is spotless the staff are brilliant. I went with a friend as her sister had gone in there she was very reluctant to go in to a home but she has settled amazingly. She said the staff are great and the food is good and
she is looked after brilliantly.

Review of

Maple Court Care Home

from L K (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

Everyone was very friendly and helpful when my Grandmother first moved into the home at the end of last year. They made her feel very welcome and were very reassuring.
The carers I have come into contact with are always incredible and since she has moved in she is looking so much healthier, eating
well and is getting around more with their support.
They have recently started trying to get the residents to partake in more activities which is lovely. I think if they could have an outdoor area that was accessible to them if they wanted to sit outside with family would be great.
There have been days where I will try to visit after I have finished work and after the residents tea time but on a few of those occasions there is no one there to let you in the building (very aware that it will be a busy time for the carers and there is no one at fault). Maybe making sure someone has a phone to hand so that people can get in touch would be helpful in those instances.

Review of

Figham House

from Chloe B (Partner of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Cared for my partners grandmother, all so lovely and welcoming. All the carers had caring relationships with all the patients including my partners grandmother. So attentive and treat each resident as if they were family. Even in my partners grandmothers last hours, carers were not only looking after
her every need, making sure she was comfortable but also employees involved in her care rang the home on their days off to see how she was. When we visited, the carers always asked if we wanted anything. They were also so kind about my son who was born prematurely, they were always asking my mother in law for updates on my son and when he was finally able to meet his great grandma, the carers were so glad to see him which to me showed how much they listen to not only their residents but the relatives and are so involved with the care they do. She has now passed but she was so well taken care of and they assured us they will always be there to support. Amazing

Figham House

from Karen J (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

All the staff at Figham House gave my mother and our family amazing care during the years she was a resident but especially during the last few weeks of her life. They were all compassionate and caring. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they looked after us all physically and emotionally and it
was apparent that they all cared for our mum, very much. During this time we visited day and night, and I noticed that their care was great with all the other residents too.
The end of life care they gave our mum and the support they gave our family was second to none and I would not hesitate to recommend Figham House to anyone looking for excellent care for their loved one

Review of

Crystal Court

from B A (Husband of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My first experience in reviewing this care home proved to be good. Most prominent was the three levels of care and the segregation of the units for the residents. After further experience, some areas of care have proved to be better than expected, whilst others are still good.

Review of

Oaktree Hall & Lodge

from Amanda S (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother was very reluctant to go into residential care, although it was evident she needed to for quite a while. On the day my mother was admitted to Oaktree, she was treated exceptionally well from the minute we arrived. Within 15 minutes, she was smiling and told me to leave as she was happy.
She
has partaken in the activities and spoke about them when I visited. Since moving in permanently, she is happy, looks better than she has for a long time, her general health has improved and she is well nourished.
All of the staff are friendly and helpful and finally, I can sleep knowing she is safe and looked after.
