Staff at Knowle Park went above and beyond for my Dad on his Birthday.
They made sure my Dad was totally spoilt and he was made to feel very special indeed.
The genuine care that the staff provide at Knowle Park to my Dad on a daily basis means such a lot, not only to my Dad but to us as his family
too.
Great work to all at Knowle Park and thank you for everything you do.

Coppice Lea

from Wendy C (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The Staff at Coppice Lea were outstanding in the care of my mother. It did not matter what their role was from cleaners, kitchen, house keeping, nurses, admin; they all got to know my mother and care for her in their different ways.
When my mother was agitated, the nursing staff invested time sitting
with her, caring and trying to distract her and calm her down.
The staff were creative in providing things that would interest my mother, even printing articles in Dutch, which is her mother tongue or letting her sit in the Nurses office to make her feel important.
There was a member of staff there every day, who would spend time engaging individuals in activities, and on special occasions they had Parties.
When my mother's dementia became severe we had to move her. But I was aware that the staff had tried their hardest to keep her in a safe and happy environment. It was a sad day when we had to say Good Bye to the Coppice Lea staff.

My mother has just left Thames View after three weeks respite care because of an injury to her back. This is the second time she has been there for respite and again the wonderful caring staff have nursed her back to health enabling her to return to her home. The rooms are lovely and she really enjoyed
the food. She was very well looked after and was back to her normal self very quickly. The two nurses that looked after her were amazing in helping to manage the pain in her back and treating an existing wound in her leg that wasn't getting any better until she went into Thames View and is now virtually healed thanks to their care. Thank you so much.

Cranmer Court

from Raymond F (Husband of Resident) assisted by family/friend published on 10 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

It's quite amazing to all what the Cranmer Court have achieved since its opening. Care support always on hand in any emergency and the help residents get is always given with dignity and respect. All staff including support staff ie hairdressers, chiropody and physios, management are excellent - they
will always be there for you and help make decisions regarding your relative. Rooms are fully furnished with TV security and there are emergency buttons to the main office. Facilities are a real bonus - the care home is set in its own grounds with large rambling areas, with adequate parking and disabled bays. Residents have the pleasure of beautiful gardens, well maintained, herbaceous borders, lawns and hanging baskets. Drinks on tap 24/7 in corridors. Many choices of food on the menu - samples are brought to the resident if there is any doubt. You have games, music rooms, outdoor functions throughout the summer. Resident meetings 4x a year with family. Security I cannot faul. Value for money a big yes. I should like to add that because I am disabled I have been able to use my mobility scooter in the home because of its open plan.

Review of

Knowle Park Nursing Home

from M H (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 7 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Overall, Knowle Park is a beautiful building with lovely well-kept gardens. Most of the rooms are charming with clean paintwork and nice, tasteful furniture, although our mother's room requires some redecoration and the windows need refurbishment or replacing. This, however, does not detract from it
being a lovely room and it's such a pity that blindness stops her from enjoying the magnificent views from three big windows.
The care received is excellent, with the staff always cheerful and helpful. In the three months our mum has been at Knowle Park she has developed a special relationship with a number of carers and this has made such a difference in adding a little pressure to a life now blighted by dementia and blindness.
The food is good, with plenty of variety, and for those who want entertainment and activities, there's always a lot going on in the home's splendid and impressive drawing room.
Of course, all of this comes at quite a high price, but it's certainly not out of line with care homes of this quality in our area. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Not only because our mother's end of life care is so important to us but also because we too find our frequent visits to Knowle Park such a pleasurable experience.

We initially chose Cranmer Court for 2 weeks convalescent care for my Mum but she actually stayed for 3 months.
We found the all the staff to be kind & caring towards, not only my Mum but the whole family.
Activities were plentiful, varied and at times great fun. I also liked the open door policy,
which allows family to come and go
at whatever times suited them best. we also had a large family gathering in the upstairs private lounge which was easily
arranged and supported by the staff, the nurses even came and found us at medication times.
I would not hesitate to recommend Cranmer Court, the manager and her whole team are wonderful.

Knowle Park Nursing Home

from Kay M (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum is a long-term resident of Knowle Park, arriving from hospital in February 2021. Knowle Park itself is an airy and light building surrounded by well-tended, often colourful gardens which residents enjoy in the warmer months. The staff are absolutely magnificent. They were quick to recognise Mum's
preferences for simple food, minimal medication, Elvis and cola. There is a staff star of the month nomination box, but every month, we would have to put all the staff names in, as each and every one of them contributes something unique and special to Mum's ongoing care and our peace of mind. Doors are always open, and at each visit, I've found Mum and her room to be fresh, clean and comfortable. Management have been swift to provide wanted advice, and nursing staff is always available to explain and chat through health issues. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Knowle Park.

Coppice Lea

from Katy P (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My parents moved to Coppice Lea in December 2024. They have a large, spacious room which, like the whole building, is kept clean and fresh smelling.
The staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate. Always friendly and welcoming whenever I visit. My parents are treated with respect and affection.
Nothing is too much trouble, they are so patient!
Food is fantastic. Visitors are welcomed and may eat with residents.
Entertainment is varied with something to appeal to everyone.
Special occasions are celebrated, we had a wonderful family party for my father's 90th.
The grounds are beautiful and my father loves to walk with a carer, when he is well enough.
Everything about Coppice Lea is done to a high standard, but what makes it exceptional is the care given by the staff. My parents are so very grateful for everything which is done for them, my mother calls the carers "love on legs"!
My initial review was too long because there are so many wonderful things to say about Coppice Lea!

from W A (Son of Resident) published on 3 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5

The staff that look after my mother are wonderful and always helpful and I trust them 100% with my mothers care. However I often see other members of staff sitting around on their phones (several times now) and not attending the residents. I found the room dirty with no clean towels, no cups or beakers
in room so she was unable to have a glass of water. Broken towel rail (three years now), bathroom floor isn't the best to be polite. Furniture in room is not fit for purpose (maybe in the 70's). This isn't a scathing review of the home as I could go on but they definitely need to up their game.

After 4 weeks in Thames View home, my Father sadly passed away. Whilst we were only able to visit him once a week, we always found him peaceful and pain-free. The staff always had time to talk to us and listen. Two staff members in particular were excellent. Each time we left after our visit, we knew

Review of

Cranmer Court

from S G (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 30 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

We looked at several care homes before choosing Cranmer Court and liked it from the start. It's an attractive building set in lovely grounds and maintained well. Staff were always friendly, with a lot of them working there for several years, which I think speaks volumes. My mother in law was at Cranmer
for about seventeen months. The staff always treated her with dignity and respect, knew her likes and dislikes well and were up to date with her changing care needs.
The nursing staff were excellent. After a week long stay in hospital, we were extremely pleased for her to return to Cranmer where we knew, without any fear of worry, she would be cared for to a high standard. Although my mother in law didn't attend many of the activities, there was always a varied choice on offer. Obviously there was the odd issue now and again, but anything raised was satisfactorily addressed. I feel certain I am only able to write highly of Cranmer Court due it being led by an excellent manager.
