My mum has been a resident at Bluebell Manor Care Home for a few years now. Myself and extended family members have been impressed from day one with the level of care provided to my mum by the staff. The staff treat all residents with the utmost respect, care and compassion. No matter what time you
call, either in person or on the phone, you are met with a warm welcome. We are so grateful to everyone at Bluebell Manor Care for everything you do.

The staff are amazing! They looked after mam so well. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. There was plenty going on to keep the residents occupied. Family always made welcome. We were kept informed at all times.

My grandma is in for respite after a fall, I was a bit dubious after I'd heard bad reviews but there were no places in Cramlington where we wanted her, this was all that was available. The drive up is very steep but plenty of parking! We often park in the town centre and walk over for a bit of fresh
air, a nice 10-minute walk. You need to be let into the home which is good security! The manager is friendly and staff say hello. I've found the activity coordinator and lady that works in the kitchen very friendly, helpful, are very welcoming and will do anything for you! My grandma's very stubborn but they are encouraging her to join in which is a great relief to us she's not just sat in her room. She does struggle with some staff but I think that's more because she's deaf. Her room's nice and we could change it around but only downside is she doesn't have her own bathroom where others do, which seems unfair when she's paying same price. Room and clothing are always clean and home doesn't smell like some do.

Mum was admitted in 2021 and, thanks to staff, went from being bedridden to fully mobile. However, this year has seen a change. Her appearance is dishevelled and her fingernails are overgrown and filthy. Clothes often crumpled from laundry not being put away properly. Sometimes she wears things that
aren't even hers.
It was requested that Mum be seen by a dentist and get replacement dentures (hers were lost in initial admission). She was apparently seen, but no dentures! She has lost a noticeable amount of weight and this is due to a combination of lack of dentures and her coeliac diet not being adhered to. The family do take in gluten-free goodies and drinks, but these are always found unopened in the room.
Initially, staff encouraged her, but that doesn't appear to be the case now! Mum is self-funding and, as a family, there is disappointment to see such a decline in both dignity and care!

We cannot fault the service and the care she has had. The staff are all friendly and accommodating and very understanding of the needs of our family member. Accommodation is suitable and has everything our family member needs. Having their own toilet has helped her keep her dignity and personal hygiene
up to scratch. Great service all round! Thank you.

The staff are very friendly and supportive, the staff are more than happy to answer any questions we have. The staff support my family when we visit to and assist us in communicating with her in the best way during her end of life care. I feel that my grandmother is cared for very well and I am confident

My mother has been resident for just over three months. During my visiting periods I have noticed all staff are very helpful and very pleasant in their duties. All are very informative of any events concerning my mother's care. Kept up to date with any falls etc. Very happy with her care.

Generally, the care at Chasedale Care Home is good. Residents appear to be well looked after and appear to be treated with dignity and respect by the staff. I always get to be made welcome in the home and most staff are pleasant. Most of the problems I have experienced recently are 'nurses' forgetting
to give medication, which is not ideal.

Overall quite satisfied with the care home. The staff are friendly and seem to treat residents well, not sure about food as I am not there at meal times. The main concern is decor and furnishings in rooms as they are looking tired and shabby, also, lack of communication of what is going on. Although
I do get phone calls if there is any sort of incident.

My mum has been a resident at East Riding since January 2019 and subsequently has been through the recent inspection and changes. Although the home was deemed by the inspection team as being inadequate in several departments I always thought that my mum was in good hands. Now, however, I can see the
improvements that have been made and am very pleased with the improvement in staffing levels and overall care of residents. I know how hard the staff are working to ensure that East Riding becomes the kind of home we would all wish our relatives to live in. My mum is very old (over 100) and needs an awful lot of care and attention in all areas of her life and I cannot fault the staff for the way in which they constantly seek to make things as safe and comfortable for her as they possibly can. Under new management, I can see East Riding becoming a first-class 'home-from-home' for its residents.

Please, please do not send any of your relatives to this care home!
I have had to stay positive about this care home for my sister but unfortunately, I cannot any longer. I walked into this building tonight to collect my sister's things to take to hospital and didn't see one member of staff on her
floor on the way in and on the way out then I went back two nights later to collect all of her belongings and that included a large TV and was not challenged by any member of staff on the way out and these were staff I had never seen before.

My husband sadly had to go into full time care which started last year the difference for me was the genuine interaction from carers to the residents.
The staff never stop caring but not just for the residents they take time out to ask how I am doing. They make me feel welcome and will answer any
questions I have, if I cannot visit they will phone me.
The meals are lovely if my husband refuses them they will go out of their way to find something he will eat. There are drinks and snacks throughout the day too.
They have entertainment coordinators that will encourage residents to join in.
The cleaning staff are also amazing and they also take time to talk and care for us.
The handymen have been in my husband's many times as he has a tendency to take things apart they are lovely with him.
All office staff and management are also so friendly and again there if you have any concerns.
I would like to thank each and every one of you including the laundry staff and kitchen and hairdresser.

Mam has been a permanent resident at Howdon Care Centre since last October and the care she receives is excellent. The staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. They always make time to chat with her and make her feel like a member of the family. The communication from the home is very good
and I'm informed immediately of any issues relating to my Mam.
Overall excellent service and care.

My mam has been in this home for a good while now and in that time she has been looked after very well. Every time I visit, she is always clean, tidy and well-dressed.
She is very happy and gets on with the staff very well. Every time I telephone the home to find out how she is, nothing is too much
trouble for them. They keep me informed of mams well being and if she needs anything. The staff are always very polite and friendly. I find it feels like a family atmosphere which is very nice. The home is clean and tidy. The activities are very good. My mam likes the music and sing-alongs. The staff work very hard to make sure the residents are looked after and entertained. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.
