Since mum has been in the home (13 weeks) she has thrived! As a family we can relax knowing she is being cared for by professional staff. We are confident that all her needs are being managed whether medically or being stimulated by the engagement team. Whenever we visit or call, regardless of who we
talk to, they know who mum is and can give us a general update on her well being and activities.

I made two visits to New Day Nursing Home before requesting a place for my mother; management was eager to show me around, spend time with me, explain procedures and answer questions. The staff are friendly and helpful. MEals are punctual and plentiful, and staff help patients to eat if required. The
room is of adequate size with sufficient storage. My mother's medical and care needs are met in an empathetic way.

We made an excellent choice in bringing my wife to this care home. She is well looked after by caring and friendly nursing and care staff. The facilities are good and the outside grounds are beautiful. There is an excellent and varied activities programme.
The fee are appropriate for a home of this

Broadmead Resthome

from Marion E (Friend of Resident) published on 20 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our friend has been at Broadmead Resthome since November 2024 and is gradually settling in. We have been so impressed with the care given by all members of staff, encouraging her to join in when she feels able but equally happy for her to spend time in her room bringing meals to her if necessary. It's
great to follow Broadmead on social media and see all the activities that the staff organise for the residents. The home is spotlessly clean, the food served is excellent and the birthday cake made for our friend was superb and much appreciated, especially as it was the Christmas party day so a lot going on for the staff.
The management is very good at keeping us informed regarding her medical care. Walking through the front door, one immediately senses a very happy and relaxed atmosphere.
I can highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a home for their loved one.

Coppermill Care

from Lorraine G (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 December 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum has resided at Coppermill for over a year now. I have nothing but praise for all the staff who are always so caring. Mum is treated with sensitivity and kindness. The activities are great fun, the activity co-ordinators certainly go the extra mile to keep all the residents entertained. Mum takes
part in things she previously wouldn't have, and there is always something different going on whether it is arts and crafts, celebrating different cultures and important calendar dates, exercise, and mum's favourite - music and dance! It is lovely to see all the staff take part and be included in many of the activities. It really is one big family! I have attended residents' meetings and know that everyone's opinion counts. I attend quite frequently and am always warmly welcomed and enjoy taking part in activities with mum. I cannot thank the staff enough - management and care staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending Coppermill. Looking forward to the renovation completion!

Coppermill Care

from Martin S (Son of Resident) published on 18 December 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

When we realised that our mum needed to be in full time care, her only requirement was that she would like to be in the local area. She was discharged from hospital and there were no available rooms in Coppermill so she went to another home outside the village temporarily. This home was ok but we asked
to be put on the waiting list at Coppermill as they were refurbishing. Less than 2 weeks later we were contacted to see if we would still like the room and we said of course. We moved her in around 10 days later and have never looked back.
The standard of care at Coppermill far exceeds our expectations. From the welcoming admin lady in the front office, the care leaders, the senior management through to the handyman, kitchen staff and of course the wonderful carers the service so far has been outstanding. The attention to detail is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and the overall care is as good as any I have seen. (I have worked in many care homes so have seen different standards ).

My father has been at Coppermill for about a year and a half. I was worried about how he would be in a home initially, but it has on the whole been a very good experience for him.
The home is staffed by lovely people who genuinely care for the people they look after. They are always smiling and very
welcoming and I cannot fault them or the home in any way.
My father is very happy there, always saying how nice the staff are and telling stories of the activities that he is encouraged to do with the staff and other people living there. Some of the things he does he would never have even tried and I've seen pictures of him that have been taken by staff of him enjoying himself. The home is currently undergoing a full renovation and the bedrooms are lovely with a homely feel to them. I can't say anything but good things about Coppermill and the staff there and a huge thank you to everyone there for looking after my father so well !

Coppermill Care

from Simon I (Son of Resident) published on 27 November 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

This is my 2nd review. I feel compelled to write again given the passing away of my mum recently at Coppermill Care and the fact that there is new ownership and management in place since 2021.
Recently, I have had unique access to the centre having stayed by my mother's side 24/7 for a short period
of a desperate time. Throughout that time, I saw and heard nothing but a caring and attentive system in place, staffed by what can only be described as thoughtful, patient and loving people - this is not a job for the staff, it is a devotion to ensure that those afflicted with the terrible disease that is dementia are living their best possible life. Care was tuned to the individual in every case I saw. Over the last year, as mum's condition deteriorated, the staff were always ahead of putting in place the changes in care that mum needed, I was always kept informed. I have no hesitation in recommending Coppermill, if you make that choice, you will have made the very best decision for your loved one.

Mum has been at Broadmead Resthome for just over three months and has settled in extremely well. The staff are so kind, caring and always appear so jolly! Mum's participation in the numerous activities has increased significantly due to the encouragement of the fabulous staff. Whenever I visit mum,

Dad was a resident for around two years and was looked after amazingly - when he passed away last December, not only did they treat him with the respect and dignity he deserved, they were so caring toward myself and my siblings, giving us as much time alone with Dad as we needed.
Dad was admitted to
the care home towards the end of lockdown, it was very rarely we were told we couldn't visit and they made sure that all their residents were kept safe.
The carers are all fantastic, very empathetic towards residents' needs and would let us know as soon as possible if there were any medical concerns or problems.
The food was good quality and there was always lots of activities and entertainment.

The staff are 'Angels, each and every one of them. We can't thank them enough for the care and support shown not only to Dad but our
