Bowes Court

from Christine H (Sister of Resident) published on 5 November 2020
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Staff are out of this world. They treat my sister with care and respect, adapting care to her wishes. They manage her challenging behaviour well. My sister responds to all staff in a positive manner, it is obvious that she really likes everyone. It is obvious that the staff really care for my sister
and I feel that she could not be in better hands.

Review of

Lyons Court Care Home

from Robert W (Mother of Resident) published on 14 May 2018
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My mother was resident at Lyons Court for a period of over 4 years between 2014 and 2018, over this period of time the home saw a number of changes to the physical environment (not all for the better) and a number of changes in management. Throughout this time a core staff at the working level remained
stable. This core staff working as a team always maintained a caring environment and provided a stable, secure atmosphere.

The most recent Care Quality Commission report (early 2018) reflects the improvements made in the management structure and systems. Above this, it is the caring attitude of the staff at a working level, largely drawn from the local community that gave me the peace of mind that my mother was being well looked after for the period of her stay.

Review of

St Aiden's Cottage

from Karli C (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 9 April 2018
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I just want to thank each and every one of the staff who looked after my Grandad for the year he was at St Aiden's Cottage. The staff were so amazing, professional, caring and helpful in every way possible. You all were so supportive with not only my Grandad but me and my family having to deal with
my Grandad deteriorating.
The nurses always informed me of changes and kept me in the loop with all of my grandad's care. The staff that are at this home are fantastic and I could not fault a thing. Absolutely amazing people and I will be forever in your debt for looking after my Grandad. He was safe and well cared for. I can’t thank you enough.

St Aiden's Cottage

from Christine L (Friend of Resident) published on 2 March 2018

My friend was here for about a year. He was so well looked after by staff who were compassionate and caring. Whenever we visited we were made welcome which made the visit easier for us. Please carry on caring for people with difficulties the way you already do.

Review of

St Aiden's Cottage

from Beverley D (Daughter of Resident) published on 8 February 2018
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The care, compassion and love my father received here from every member of staff was outstanding. I spent his last few days with him and they not only cared for him but gave both myself and my family reassurance that he was not in pain and they made him as comfortable as possible. When he died, every
member of staff were genuinely upset, however, were still very professional and they supported and helped us also.
A huge pat on the back to you all. Each and every one of you deserves a massive pay rise for what you all do. It shows that you all do this job because you are all kind, caring and loving people.
Thanks again for looking after my dad this past year and treating him well.
