My brother-in-law is a resident of this lovely care home. He has dementia, and the care he receives is second to none. He is so well looked after it's so reassuring to know he's in safe hands. All the staff are lovely and cannot do enough for the residents and the visitors are made so welcome. The staff
are always looking for ways of entertaining the residents, which is amazing. We have no problem in recommending Roxton Nursing Home.

My brother who suffers from dementia, was transferred to Roxton in November 2024, He had been moved on a temporary basis four times previously in 2024 causing trauma and anxiety at times.
I visited Roxton about an hour after my brother first arrived and was relieved to find a member of staff sitting
with him in a quiet area having a chat. Due to support from the manager and staff he appears settled and happy.
I was advised to visit at any time convenient. The atmosphere is often vibrant, and the staff ensures the residents are engaged as much as possible in activities of various kinds.
Over the Christmas period, a play was staged there for the residents, local children came in to offer gifts, and there was a party for residents and their friends and families. There is always plenty of singing and dancing.
The staff appears to be immersed in trying to make life as good as possible for everyone.

Written on behalf of my brother and myself . . .
Our Mum was a resident for 6 years until her death in August 2024 aged 93. She had advanced dementia.
Our Dad has been a resident for over 2 years, he is aged 90. Before he was a resident he visited my Mum daily.
I'm really not sure what or how many
superlatives I can use to describe the Roxton excellence!
Suffice it to say, that everyone who works in this sector are truly wonderful people - they see it as a pleasure and a calling, never as a job.
If that's the starting point then the Roxton Team stands above that standard - if that's possible.
From the owner to the most junior, they provide the love, care, and assistance we can't. If your loved ones could ever be better off than at home, then it's here.
We've learned that this is all about the people providing the care, not the surroundings.
At Roxton, you need to have no doubt, that your loved ones will be loved here!

Our aunt has been a resident of Roxton Nursing Home for over 12 months and we are so pleased with her overall health which has improved greatly she is happy and content and fits in well, we can't praise them enough for their care and dedication to the residents.
They go the extra mile to make each
day special for everyone with birthday celebrations and activities all are included.

My mom moved into Roxton House on Christmas Eve after being discharged from hospital after suffering a stroke and a fall breaking her hip. Suffering from dementia she was confused and unhappy.
After just a few weeks of being a resident of Roxton House, she has become an active happy person once again.
I am so happy with Roxton, the staff are so caring professional, and happy.
I highly recommend it.

Roxton is a wonderful care home. Fortunately for us, the local authority recommended them as a perfect solution for mom who has dementia. Mom settled in and immediately was happier. The staff are fantastic, super friendly, and always available for a chat. Management is always on hand if you need an
update. Mom has regular chiropodist and hair stylist appointments in-house. The home is transparent, you can visit anytime without an appointment. An open social media channel with updates on what the residents are enjoying on any particular day. We are always invited to birthdays and social events. Lots of daily activities and entertainment for the residents. I would not hesitate to recommend Roxton to anyone looking for a home from home for their loved one.

Roxton Nursing Home is amazing. The staff are outstanding. Helping residents is always friendly. They put residents first. Have a party, a birthday party. Fashion shows, movie days. All work very hard. My relative has only been since May 2024. And she settled well. Thank you to all the staff.

After an upsetting start, Dad has settled in well
They have adjusted various routines to fit in with Dad's needs. This has made him more settled.
The carers work hard to keep the residents happy.
Mixing and making friends is encouraged.
The activity champions do amazing sessions that keep Dad's
brain active.
They don't have agency staff. This helps as the staff get to know the resident's needs and personalities.
I'd like to thank them for all they do.

My husband is a stroke/dementia resident. The manager and the whole team are the best you could find, they all go over and above for the residents and their families. It was very distressing for me to make such a decision but everyone at Roxton helped us as a family through the difficult days, we are
always made welcome, their door is open at any time, and the manager, nursing staff, carers, chef, cleaners, laundry, are always available to discuss any issues. I can only wish Roxton well and thank them all for everything they do.

I regularly visit my mom at Roxton. She always looks well-dressed and clean. She has sadly lost her sight now but the staff are aware and when I suggested a drinking cup more suitable for her needs now it was agreed. Other help has been put into place too. I.e. a high-sided plate and a member of staff
will help feed her too. The staff are approachable and friendly. During December I noticed there were lots of activities provided by the staff. A group of nursery children visited to sing to the residents and give out gifts. There was a traveling pantomime too. On New Year's Eve, there was a three-course luncheon provided with a happy New Year vibe. The place was decorated with Christmas trimmings and trees. Very festive. There is a social media group too where we get regular updates and photos of life at Roxton. Overall I am happy with the care provided for my mom. Just sad that she has dementia and has now lost her eyesight.

Such a lovely home since my father has been there for more than 2 years they can never do enough for him, they learn what my dad likes and take great care of him and they have consistent staff so no different faces which is so lovely to see. The care home manager is so lovely and very respectful and
responsive to any questions or queries and they genuinely care about the people they look after.

My family and I visited the home today to see my mum and to join in party celebrations.
Mum enjoyed the lovely food, and the staff were very, very attentive towards the residents and visitors. Everyone appeared to enjoy the activities. Thank you to all, and as we left, I think Karaoke was about to

My Mother receives excellent care/support and treated with dignity. She has a good balanced soft diet. The staff are excellent and polite, with great respect for my Mother. The care home is always clean and well maintained. It has an excellent management and owners, who are caring, thoughtful, patient,
kind and lovely people. A very warm friendly environment. Safety and security is excellent. I have no problem at all with any issues. The food is very good. Overall standard is excellent. Everyone is made welcome and looked after.

When I visit my mother-in-law, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are warm and welcoming, I am greeted by name and always directed to where my mother-in-law is sitting. The staff fetch a chair and offer a warm drink to consume during the visit. My mother-in-law is treated with respect and dignity,
the staff always have time for the residents no matter when I visit and how busy they are. In my opinion, Parkdale consistently offers a personal touch to residents and their families by the management team and the care staff.
Specific dietary requirements and preferences are catered for and alternative meal options are always available. Staff are always smiling, taking the time to get to know the residents, respecting their level of needs and care required. I am confident that my mother-in-law is happy and cared for like a member of their family. I have received consistent communication from the staff to make me aware of any additional support that is required.

Couldn't ask for better. Prior to Mom being offered care here she was visited in respite by a manager to see if the care home was suitable for her needs and I was contacted to discuss this. From the first day, Mom has been looked after so well. I am overwhelmed by the friendliness, professionalism,
attention and personal involvement the staff provide on a daily basis. If Mom has additional needs in her care I am always contacted and consulted and if required to give my consent. The interaction between staff and residents is so wonderful to see. Mom's room is always clean and tidy every time I visit. Catering is discussed if required and a suitable diet is always offered on an individual basis. I can't thank the staff enough for the endless smiles they have and the lovely interaction with my family whenever we visit.
I can say overall that I am just amazed by the level of support and care Mom gets. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My mother was transferred to Roxton Nursing Home during lockdown due to her previous home closing down. I have nothing but praise for how the management and staff treated my mother during this awful time and ever since.
My mother has dementia and mobility issues but the staff always show patience and
kindness towards her.
We have enjoyed various family parties and get-togethers some of which were organised by the home. We can visit Mum anytime that's convenient for us which we appreciate.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone who has to make the heartbreaking decision of permanent care for their loved ones.

My mother was lucky enough to have found her new forever home in this wonderful home in July of this year after a year of being in various hospitals. She settled in within days and we, as a family, do not have enough words to thank all the staff and carers and nurses for the care and love they give
to Mom. Mom always has a happy face with the staff and 24-hour care. To have the care we get for Mom from Roxton really does give us so much peace of mind. She wants for nothing and they go above and beyond for all the residents. The social events they put on really do have the residents in their element. There is always a singing song going on too! All carers are permanent staff so there is always a friendly face for us and Mom. The food is also amazing and Mom is blooming there! The staff also keep us very well informed and we can come and go at any time. It really is home from home. We as a family are blessed to have her there.

My mother has been a resident of Roxton Nursing Home for two and a half years, to date. I have found the staff and management to be very friendly, caring and considerate. Not only do they take excellent care of my mother but they also fully accommodate me whenever I visit. Also, I am always kept fully
informed as to health and well-being of my mother. This was particularly the case during the co-vid pandemic but was also the case before, and since that time. Thank you to all at Roxton for the care you provide for my mother.
