We were so lucky to have been granted this place for our 94-year-old mother to be cared for until her last day. This is a nursing home that really cares. From the first day admitted she was made welcome and her one-to-one carer was a blessing. She made her feel safe, fed her, clothed her, washed and
trusted in her. The whole team were great - nothing too much trouble, attentive and always a carer or nurse at hand. The place is kept clean and tidy and always a variety of food is available. Lots of care provided to make sure Mum was comfortable, safe and checked on frequently. Absolutely a 5-star rating.

Eversleigh House needs to be refurbished to bring up to date and that is planned to start soon. Don't let that put you off, the kind and efficient and loving care that my husband and I have received is so much more valuable than paint and carpet. The home has a lovely family feel, is always well staffed
and the carers and nurses are all wonderful. There is love and kindness in the air and this makes things easier.

We are very happy with Eversleigh Care Home. From a visitor's perspective, the free parking is ideal and the security is very good. The staff are very attentive and friendly, always willing to explain and listen to a resident/visitor's needs. The food is always on-time and tasty and the two large rooms
on the ground floor (lounge and dining room) are ideal for the residents. The whole place is very welcoming and warm, with lots of activities taking place throughout the year. Thank you to all at Eversleigh!

Over the last few years, my wife has had various falls and now dementia. The Conifers was recommended to us and my wife has stayed their for several weeks for respite. I can honestly say, from the office staff to kitchen workers and the laundry lady, the lovely carers. it has helped myself recharge
my batteries for another few months. So all in all you would struggle to find a more friendly day to day caring home.

The staff were brilliant with my partner, meeting every need with compassion and professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble - they were always available, offering help at every turn. From the start, it was clear the team was dedicated not only to my partner but also to supporting the whole family.
Their kindness and attention made a difficult time easier to bear. I'm incredibly grateful for their care and would highly recommend The Haven Nursing Home, Coventry.

The Old Vicarage Nursing Home

from L D (Sister of Resident) published on 26 September 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our 57-year-old brother was transferred to The Old Vicarage from our local hospital. We had a look around before we made our decision and were warmly welcomed by the nurse in charge and the team. Our brother received 10 weeks nursing care, a number of which encompassed end-of-life care. The whole team
were kind, caring and compassionate towards not only our brother but to us as a family and his friends too. It was an anxious time all round and the management took the time to listen and respond to our queries. We could not have asked for better care in his last few days when we remained with him day and night. We are truly grateful, thank you. We were aware of an activity programme but our brother was too poorly to participate so unable to rate.

The staff are very kind and support me with all my needs. I feel well looked after and safe. I would prefer to be at home but I cannot look after myself. I see the manager everyday and she checks that I have everything I need. The food is really nice, especially the cakes. My room is small but is ok.
I can put my photographs up.

Our short experience with Conifers whilst our Nan was bought in for end-of-life care was full of kindness, honesty, and high-level care. The staff always made sure she was as comfortable as possible, treating her with dignity and respect. The girls made us feel welcome and helped us with my two-year-old
son who often liked to meet the residents. If paying, it's more expensive than other homes, so the cost is a little high.

From first arriving and signing in the fire register, the front of house administration office workers are all friendly and competent. Next port of call is usually the carers, cleaners and kitchen staff that I meet in the corridors, again all friendly and busy at their work. The senior nursing staff
are always helpful and competent, knowledgeable about my wife's care requirements and will take on constructive advice from myself who cared for her beforehand. My wife is happy with care she receives and hasn't a poor word to say for any of the regular staff. Her only complaint is the quality of care from agency workers who cover sick leave or absences, they are not well aware of the residents regular requirements.

Mum has been a resident of the Conifers since June 2022. In the last 2 years, I have had no occasion to doubt that all her needs are met and that she is treated with kindness. In the last few months since Mum has been deteriorating the staff have gone out of their way to make sure she is comfortable
at all times. As she is nonverbal all her needs are second-guessed by the staff. I have nothing but good things to say about The Conifers.

Conifers Nursing Home

from Sharon L (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 July 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5

Our dad was at the home up to Nov 23. We would have to constantly ask for him to be washed/shaved. He lost weight. The nurse was unapproachable, the management wasn't supportive. Dad had suffered a stroke and couldn't talk, walk or do anything for himself. He was put in front of a TV every day with
no stimulation. He ended up in hospital with Aspiration Pneumonia which according to the hospital was caused by him being rushed or not sat up during his meals. He should've also been prescribed anti-seizure meds but wasn't so went on to have seizures. He died at the home. It was only then when we felt the nurse's support. I have since found out the nurse was under investigation from the CQC for bullying of the staff, residents and relatives. I was shocked to hear the nurse had been allowed to work her notice during this time. I would like to say that the majority of the carers were excellent and the new office manager was also excellent. Please note my review is based on the time my dad was at the home.

from Deborah B (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 June 2024

My Mum arrived at The Heathers still very poorly after several stays in hospital in the previous 6 months. Her experiences prior to this had been stressful but from the moment we arrived I felt we had her in the right place. Everyone welcomed us with smiles, and they were clearly a caring and dedicated
team. Everyone of the staff were there to help and all of them provided an outstanding service. On the day my mum passed away I was overwhelmed by the care and respect of the team. They are truly a special bunch of people and deserve a high level of praise. There were so many people involved with my mum but from Management team to the Cook every one of them worked so hard and made sure that they met my mum's needs. The Heathers is a very special place, run by very special people helping families to achieve the very best of care for their loved ones. I cannot thank them enough!
