Mum came here in April 2024 from another care home.
The manager and her team are FANTASTIC, nothing is too much trouble. Mum settled very well and considers this her home. The care mum receives is second to none and we are informed of every aspect of mums care.
All staff know mums likes and dislikes
and she is often given a hot chocolate in the evening which she loves.
I cannot recommend this care home enough.

The end-of-life care my mother received was exceptional. The excellent staff would regularly check on my mother and monitor her food and fluid intake. They did everything to make my mother comfortable. Very friendly staff and, management were honest and upfront.

My dad required respite care after hospital care following a fall at home, this being one of many in the last 5 months. A previous respite care period in a different care home helped enable a comparison to be made.
both care homes provided a safe clean environment and have/are looking after his needs.
Southminster excels in my view in so many ways, the home is spotlessly clean, the staff go above and beyond, Dad likes the environment and the food is excellent, it is just about as close to being in his own home as can be. Approaching the end of Dad's respite care period it looks like he will require permanent care and I have no hesitation in continuing this at Southminster.

Thank you to Southminster Residential Care Home, my mother needed respite care quickly. They welcomed her at short notice without any issues and adapted to her needs quickly. The staff have been welcoming, accommodating and capable. The sense of relief in finding SRCH cannot be conveyed enough, I am
grateful to them at a time of crisis and need. The care home is set in very nice surroundings which help my mother relax quickly and I found their facilities to be good quality. Once again, thanks for the time my mother has been with you and should we need your services again then I will in touch. Respectfully.

Our mother was a resident at the home for over seven years until she passed just after Christmas 2023. The quality of care she received from the dedicated staff under the manager's efficient management was first-class throughout her stay. The staff are consistently friendly, understanding and sympathetic,
ensuring Mother was as comfortable as possible throughout her long period of residence.
We are grateful to the manager and her staff, past and present, and are very happy to recommend this home to others.

My mum has only just moved in, but already, she is happy, clean and well looked after. Doctor visits once a week, and you can always raise your concerns, and they will always be heard. The food and snacks are amazing. The staff are always there, and nothing is too much trouble.

My husband recently spent a week’s respite care in your establishment. During that time both his physical and mental needs were met with kindness, sympathy and understanding, and the very friendly and caring staff made his stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Although he suffers from dementia,
he remembers being with you and has told family members that he enjoyed his visit, and would be very happy to be with you again. Coming from my husband, that is high praise indeed! My very grateful thanks to you all.

My mum has been a Legra Residential Care Home for over 3 years. The care my mum and the other residents are shown is wonderful. The manager is always so helpful and caring and has given me the support I have needed over the past few years. All of the staff are lovely they all work really hard in what
can be a mentally and physically demanding job. I cannot fault the care my mum has received since being there I feel extremely lucky my mum is in Legra as I have full peace of mind my mum is properly looked after. The staff and manager always communicate with me if mum is unwell and act quickly to get her better as soon as possible. They have become like a second family to me and I think the world of them. The home should be recognised for the amazing work they do looking after the residents and supporting the families they should be very proud.

My mum has lived at Legra for nearly 2 years. I never thought she would settle in, as she was so reliant on myself and my sister for the previous 9 years.
I can honestly say I have not had any regrets since Mum has been here because of the love and care Mum receives from the manager and her amazing

My mum has severe dementia and in May 2023 events reached a head and we needed to organise a care home quickly, all I can say is thank goodness for Legra.
From the moment we walked into the home, the manager and her fantastic team were there providing a welcoming atmosphere and a calmness around
the place. Mum has thrived since they took her under their wing.
We all have reservations about putting parents into a home, but everyone was always there to reassure us and say that this is now our home from home too. Believe me, I think they have looked after me as much as Mum.
If you are in any doubt about using Legra, go and spend half an hour here and you will see.

My mother has been at Legra since July 2022. She went initially for 4 weeks following a 3 week stay in hospital for a fractured hip. Her greatest fear always was having to give up her independence and go into a home. The staff have nurtured her, and the rest of the family, through the trauma of making
the decision to stay and selling her property. The staff are kind, caring, and empathetic. It really is the little touches that make the difference. They take time to talk to her and really do provide person-centred care. They are always friendly and welcoming to visitors and ready to answer questions and listen to any concerns. I have every confidence in the manager and her staff to provide the best care for Mum. Mum has been able to personalise her room and has her own bedding.

They have cared for my mother during her last 16 months of life. They have looked after her with caring and dignity. This extends to end-of-life care received recently, which they allowed me and my siblings free access. They have treated her with dignity and always attended to her needs. Cannot fault
the manager or administration in their running of the home.

My father entered Southminster Residential Home for respite in August. Social workers, upon my return from holiday, decided that my father needed 24-hour care, rather than myself and care workers could give him in his own home. My experience of this home is of the highest standard; the care, time and
love that the care in this home was second to nine. My father, after being admitted to the hospital, asked for his final days to be spent here. The love and kindness will never be forgotten.

Sadly my mum's stay here was not very long, about four weeks. We were very happy with her care, and the staff were all really attentive and looked after her so well. She had a lovely Christmas and was the star of the party at 100 years of age.
