Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother was a resident at Wiltshire Heights for nearly 2 years and recently passed away.
Wiltshire Heights was a perfect place for my mum. She received excellent attention from a loving and caring team of nurses and other staff. Her room was light and bright and had a beautiful outlook into the
courtyard where mum could see birds and squirrels.
You made my mum's last few years as comfortable as possible, and we will be forever grateful for that.
I would not hesitate to recommend Wiltshire Heights to anyone looking for a long term care home for their loved one.

Lavender Oaks Care Home

from Peter G (Nephew of Resident) published on 17 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My uncle was nearing the end of his life due to terminal cancer and gone blind due to macular degeneration.
He had been in and out of hospital on several occasions towards the end of 2024, so was no longer able to be at home and Lavender Oaks accepted him into the Care Home without a moments hesitation.
The care and attention he received was first class and his family and friends couldn't have asked for anything more. Although he was only there for less than 2 months all members of staff and medical specialists were exceptional, keeping him comfortable and pain free to the end. His family and friends were able to visit and share final moments, the church minister too which was important to him. As he loved listening to the radio his room was generally filled with music and a good collection of Christmas cards during the festive period. Thanks Lavender Oaks for all you did.

Prestbury House Care Home

from K M (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

In the 8 years my mum was a resident in general we've been happy with the overall service. The outstanding aspect has been the individual care workers who have been amazing. They've offered support, that suggests it's more than a job. The management has been a continued revolving door, with many of
the managers being invisible, and purely interested in the bottom line.

Reply from Joanne Elliott, Regional Director at Prestbury House Care Home

Thank you for your review. I am glad you were happy overall with the care your mum received and felt supported by our team. I am sorry to hear you were not content with our management situation. Unfortunately, we cannot always control when our team members decide to leave us, but we do our best to make these transitions as smooth as possible for our residents and their loved ones. Our current home manager has been with us since July 2024 and joined us with ten years of experience as a home manager and a great reputation in the local area. Should you wish to discuss this further or provide more feedback about your experience, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I cannot fault the care given to my mother during the last couple of months of her life. The staff from very department were thoughtful and very often members of the care team would sit and read to her and have a chat. Overall, excellent.
However, with regard to value for money, I feel that services
such as hairdressing and chiropody should be included and a weekly physio visit.

The care and support mum received was excellent, she was treated with compassion, dignity, the nurses and care staff are amazing + go above + beyond for the people they care for. The domestic team, are very good at what they do, brightening mums day with their conversations whilst working. The kitchen
always did their best to arrange alternative foods if mum wanted something different. Overall we cannot praise the manager + her teams enough for everything.

Very happy with the care my mum and dad are receiving. The move into Savernake has been very smooth and they have both adjusted well to the change. The staff are very attentive and the atmosphere in the home is very friendly and welcoming every time I visit. Thank you.

Wiltshire Heights Care Home

from C S (Friend of Resident) published on 11 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The staff and facilities at Wiltshire Heights are both excellent. The staff are so kind and caring, yet diligent too. Everyone is easy to approach and all go above and beyond. They are worth their weight in gold.
The facilities are like a hotel! Very comfortable, well equipped rooms and lovely, comfortable
lounges around the building for time away from your bedroom, a private dining room so you can enjoy a meal with family, a hair salon etc. They also arrange and lay-on a vast array of activities including walks out for those that are able.
The food was also excellent, a great choice at meal times and tea, cake, refreshments available all the time!

Reply from Charlie Osgood, Home Manager at Wiltshire Heights Care Home

Super friendly staff who are incredibly helpful and polite. The facilities at Upton Mill are excellent. My father has all the help he needs to be safe and healthy and he's always commenting on how great the food is and the staff being friendly. I would recommend anyone to Upton Mill.

Reply from Matthew Berry, Regional Director at Upton Mill Care Home

Lincroft Meadow Care Home

from Pam T (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother has been struggling with dementia for years and was determined that she would never agree to going into care. We got her to the car park where she refused to get out of the car. The senior team came out to greet her and within minutes had coaxed her inside the doors. We persuaded her to stay
for a week. After a day she rang me laughing and saying what a great times she was having, After a week she had already asked the staff if she could stay at the 'hotel' for longer as she was having such a good time! Her dementia is complex and difficult to manage at times, but the staff have managed each situation with care, compassion and dignity. They have responded by creatively modifying her care plan each time to make sure she is as settled, happy and engaged in the programme of activities.
It is without a doubt the best care home I have encountered both in my career in the NHS and on a personal level for other family members.

Penhurst Gardens Care Home

from A D (Respite Resident) published on 7 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

I spent a week at Penhurst Gardens Care Home as a respite resident. Recovering from a hip replacement. There was no space upstairs so I was in the debenture ward which is clearly a different experience. The visit was very successful with staff dealing with medication and any help I required. Many thanks.

My sister moved to Chiltern Grange Care Home in July 2024. The nurse care team gave an excellent review of her care over the last six months. I was given details of my sister's personal care, social interaction with other residents and health issues in a clear and easy to understand format.
