Could not fault the care and attention they bestowed on my father whilst he was there, from the groundsmen to the manager. Everyone was amazing. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable stay for themselves or a loved one. I will miss the staff and their friendly
faces and much-needed cups of tea.
My father passed away whilst he was there and he was treated with dignity and respect.

Thank you for your kind words. We're so glad you felt your father received the care and attention he deserved. Your recommendation and appreciation for our staff mean a lot to us.

My mother was cared for in Cedars Place from January 2023 to November 2024. We were really happy with the care she received. The staff were kind and caring and showed real patience. Everyone was always happy to have a chat with us whenever we visited. The activities on offer were really varied and
she enjoyed taking part in some of them. We were always happy when we left after a visit that she was being well looked after.
The staff were supportive and exceptionally caring at the difficult time of her end of life care. We cannot thank them enough for looking after her for nearly the last two years of her life. We would definitely recommend Cedars Place.

My Nana came for temporary respite care following a hospital stay. We chose a lovely front facing room where we knew Nana would enjoy looking out of the window and the room was perfect for what she needed. We couldn't be happier with the care she received, everybody made her feel very welcome and included.
All the staff are wonderful and we're very grateful that they made her stay a comfortable one. Cedars Place is a lovely care home that we wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending.

The care provided to my dad whilst he was with you form June - November was outstanding. All staff were so kind, not only to my dad, but to us family members who were also going through a tough time during this period. My dad was kept comfortable and were kept informed and consulted with every difficult
point during his time with you. All staff showed great compassion and dad could not have spent his final months anywhere better suited to his needs. Thank you all very much for the great care you provide, it really is appreciated.

We as a family have been impressed with all aspects of the home and are grateful that mum is in a safe and happy environment.
The lounge and garden are well maintained, making visits enjoyable and
allowing residents to keep in contact with the seasons.

My mother who has Alzheimer's has been residing in Horkesley Manor for a year and a half. I am so thankful for the way the staff care, respect and are being so kind to my mother and us as a family. Nothing is too much and the level of care is of a very high standard. The room my mother has and the Aspen
Memory Centre is just a wonderful place to be in. Always clean. As a family, we know that our loved one is safe, secure and her wellbeing is being catered for to a very high standard. We cannot ask for more.
Thank you so much for all you do, I would not hesitate in recommending Horkesley Manor to anyone else who needs care for their loved ones.

Cedars Place is a lovely environment with caring staff. The end of life care that our mum received was excellent and we are grateful for everything you have done for her, including looking after and comforting dad when he came to visit, giving him a hug and making him a cup of tea. It would have been
better if we could have been consulted on the care plan when mum arrived, rather than a week into her stay, so that more appropriate meals could have been provided.

Reply from Charlie Diamond, Marketing and Communications Lead at Cedars Place

Thank you for taking a moment to leave us such a positive review. It is heartwarming to read that not only were we able to care for your mum but also comfort your dad too. Your feedback means a great deal to us and we will be sure to share your comments with the team.

My dad went into Cedars Place for end of life care for 5 days before he died. The care he received was amazing and I can't thank the staff enough for looking after him with such dignity.
Mum then needed to go into Nursing Care as she is bedbound with advanced Parkinson's and we knew exactly the best
place for her. Moving into a nursing home could potentially have been a traumatic one but on arrival she was fussed over and made to feel so welcome and it was such a relief to know she was going to be so well looked after.
The care she receives is so personal to her needs and they have managed to get her to sit in a chair in the dining room, which she hasn't been able to do for 2 years at home. It means the world that I can spend time with her at a table and not at her bedside.
Every member of staff are so caring, loving and compassionate and they love the residents like they were their own relatives.
I honestly cannot recommend Cedars highly enough. Thank you so much.

Our mother came into Ceaders Place in September. We were very pleased with the cleanliness, and freshness. The staff are all very friendly and professional, willing to help and put you at ease. Mum seems to be a little more relaxed now. She is bed ridden so needs a lot of attention which she gets and
it takes some of the pressure of us. Would definitely recommend Ceders Place.

On my first contact with Cedars, I found the staff exceptionally helpful at a worrying time for my Mum to make the transition from hospital. We chose Cedars after an initial visit and speaking to people who knew residents in the home. Staff are always approachable and understanding, they have soon got
to know Mum and are dealing with Mum's anxiety and aggression with patience and respect. Mum always looks comfortable in her lovely quiet room in an area that other residents do not wander in. This was so important for us to know she is safe. This puts the family at ease after a difficult few months.

from B B (Son of Resident) published on 3 October 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum has just spent the last 5 weeks on respite at Halstead Hall, having spent the last 3 months bouncing between hospital and home social care packages. From the moment she arrived at Halstead Hall, we noticed a significant improvement in her physical and mental health. She was treated as part of
the family and made to feel very special. The professional support and caring nature of all the team was fantastic. Having spent several months worrying about her health, I was at last able to relax, knowing that she was being looked after. I couldn't recommend Halstead Hall enough. I have had experience of several residential care homes with other relatives and this is by far the best.

My wife has been a resident at the home for approximately eight years. During that time, she has received excellent care through the different stages of her debilitating disease.
Now that she is receiving palliative care, that excellent standard continues from the dedicated staff. The carers, nursing
staff, kitchen staff, cleaners and the management team are really friendly and helpful.
The home itself is constantly having improvements carried out, so it feels welcoming and comfortable with
well-maintained surrounding grounds. Well done and thanks to all.

Halstead Hall is outstanding from the moment you drive in, it's set in beautiful grounds with an interior to match there is a very homely feel as soon as you walk in the door.
My grandmother is on respite and all staff from management, care staff to the domestic team have been fantastic at making her
feel at home. Focusing on her needs and wishes and paying attention to what's important to her.
Every member of staff I have seen during my visits has been welcoming with a smile and offer of help.
The activities have been well thought out with lots of effort to provide stimulation throughout the day, my Nan loved the 'beach day' where the seaside came to them!
My nan had a birthday during her stay, they accommodated family visits throughout the day and made a fuss out of her with a stunning birthday cake.
As a family we can't thank the Halstead Hall team enough, they have provided support, guidance and reassurance to my nan while we navigate this new stage of her life.

This is the third respite experience I have had and, as always, it has met my needs both in the care and activities. always like to meet cheerful staff and lovely house and gardens.
