I want to start by expressing my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your mother. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult this has been for you and your family. Please know that we are deeply sorry for the pain and distress you have experienced.
We are fully committed to understanding what has happened and addressing the issues you have brought to our attention. As you are aware, there is an ongoing investigation/enquiry involving our Home Manager and Operations Director to thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding your mother's care. We are working diligently to ensure that all concerns are taken seriously and that the investigation/enquiry is both thorough and transparent.
While we acknowledge there have been some staff changes in the past, our current team is very experienced, stable, passionate, and fully aligned in their commitment to the well-being of all who live here. We continue to be committed to making meaningful changes to ensure every resident receives the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.
At this time, I'm unable to comment further but if there is anything more you would like to share, please do not hesitate to contact our Operations Director or our Home Manager with whom you have been meeting. Thank you for taking the time to review our home. You will appreciate, I'm unable to comment on individual cases. We have tried to reach out to you personally prior to this review, attempting contact on the phone and email.
Transparency is key and it is important for me to share some information with you:
- Our manager is the 3rd manager here at the home - the home opened with a commissioning manager (experienced in setting up and opening homes) and it is very common for these managers to move on once the home is established. Each manager has enhanced the home and developed the team positively.
- We are recruiting for care roles and use agency to cover sickness or late holiday.
Our residents' wellbeing is at the heart of all we do, and again I always welcome and encourage feedback that will enhance a resident's experience with us. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further given we're unable to discuss with you directly. Our manager would be available at a time that suits you.

I appreciate your concerns regarding staffing, the home is now fully recruited for care roles and use agency to cover sickness or last-minute holiday. We have a great relationship with our new agency which means the agency colleagues feel very much part of our home team and this allows for great continuity of care. Residents and families are commenting on these relationships with positivity. Our care team are dedicated to making a difference and work hard to build relationships with every resident to ensure they feel supported, cared for and very much at home.
As you will have experienced, when concerns are raised, we work in partnership with families to understand the concern and put measures in place to rectify these and meet regularly to ensure progress is being shared.
