Aashna House is a truly unique home, where residents from a rich variety of religious and cultural backgrounds live in beautiful surroundings. The staff speak several languages, including Gujarati, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu, so communication is exceptional.

The team are passionate about celebrating the variety of faiths of their residents, including Hindu, Muslim, Ismaili, Jain, Tamil, Christian and Sikh, with festivals, rituals and customs an integral part of everyday life. Every festival is unique in terms of its bespoke menu, the prayers, music, folk dances, traditions rituals and dress.

The delicious, authentic home-cooked cuisine is outstanding, with everything freshly cooked using seasonal fruit, vegetables and herbs. Every day there are a variety of vegetarian and meat curries, dahl and bean dishes, chapati, rice and Lassi, as well as salads and Indian sweets. And of course, meat and vegetarian dishes are prepared in different kitchens.

There are so many activities to enjoy, from arts and gentle exercise, to gardening, cooking and trips into the community.

The residents at Aashna House are actively involved in the running of their home, with resident ambassadors who chair regular residents’ and relatives’ meetings, providing feedback to the team, many of whom have worked in the home for over 10 years.

The home is split into five areas, each with its own dining room, which feel like small family communities. And the spacious bedrooms are all ensuite. There is also a large spacious communal lounge where residents enjoy activities and celebrations together, which also has Asian television channels. And there is a multi-faith prayer room and a Hindu temple for the residents to worship.

The beautiful gardens provide a tranquil space to relax. With raised beds and pergolas bursting with aromatic flowers, this summer the residents also enjoyed planting their own produce.

My brother, sister and I have been happy with the care our mother received at Aashna. My mother passed away a month ago after having lived there over 2 years. There was not a day gone by without mum mentioning how caring and friendly the staff. She loved food, entertainment and interaction with the
residents and staff. She was encouraged to take part in games and activities that are organised to keep the resident’s body and mind active. After lunch, the chef would ask my mum if she enjoyed food & welcomed any changes to improve. My mum enjoyed avocado, pasta, pizza, garlic bread etc and this was served to her once in a while. We were always amazed at clean rooms & up to date laundered clothes. My mum found it very easy to settle into Aashna and felt extremely blessed with a pleasant caring staff exceeding her expectations. We as a family are very grateful and thankful for a great team at Aashna.

I have to say that we have visited many care homes in the past to visit a variety of friends and relatives but we are so happy that mum is in this care home. The staff are so friendly and so warm and welcoming every time - no matter what day or time we arrive and mum seems so happy and settled now.
The regular activities keep mum active and involved and the food always smells so delicious every time I visit! A lovely place, clean and tidy and some very friendly and happy residents - including one that sung on stage with Elvis - how amazing is that?

Due to my health needs, I enrolled myself in this home only a couple of months ago. Within this short period, I find myself well adjusted because the staff are very efficient, helpful and welcoming.
The care provided is of very high quality. All my dietary needs are also taken care of.

My father is disabled and has special needs from a stroke, but the manager and team delivered excellent services to make his respite care stay enjoyable for him.


We were shown around the purpose-built facility and impressed with the professional operations, friendly staff, the cleanliness and spacious

facilities. They performed a thorough assessment of dad’s special needs and created a tailored care plan covering all aspects of his personal hygiene, supporting equipment needs, medication and dietary constraints and requirements. I was impressed that all carers were called to observe the use of support aids like knee braces and custom boots.


Staff are always smiling, caring and helped him move around. Daily group activities including games, spiritual discourses on TV, movies and discussions helped all residents to bond and keep active.


Overall, a very caring and pleasant experience. The staff and services exceeded our expectations. I would strongly recommend Aashna House.

I am very pleased with Ashna House. All the staff and the manager, everybody is very friendly, polite, and helpful. I have no complaints whatsoever, and I can see my mother is very happy with the staff and everybody.

The best decision we as a family made last year was to have our mother rehoused at Aashna House Residential Care Home. She has settled in very well due to the strong bonds and relationships that she has forged with staff, management, and residents alike. Sanctuary Care Ltd run some excellent homes around
