The dedicated team, many of whom live locally, work in partnership with each person who lives at the home, and their loved ones, to encourage residents to keep active and plan their own daily routines; making their own choices and supporting people to remain as independent as possible. The home is a place of freedom and respect, where people are supported to have a life well lived, each and every day.

The staff are friendly and caring. They are accessible and listen to any concerns or questions and act on them immediately.

Clean and bright care home. Staff are welcoming and accommodating to both those that live there and visitors. When I have been visiting I have noticed that there are often activities going on for those that are living there, which is lovely to see.

Extremely clean and well kept care home with very comfortable rooms. The staff are extremely supportive, responsive and helpful. Activities are well thought out and engaging. The building is very secure. Food is served hot and is of a very high standard with special requests catered for. I can leave
after my visits with the peace of mind that my loved one is the best hands.

The manager put on a Christmas party on 14th December 2018 for all residents and their families. What can I say, this was a very well organized party, top class entertainment, top class good food everyone enjoyed themselves, This care home is the best I've seen in 40 years of working in care and my
mother is very well looked after here, thank you all for being the best.

It was important for my mother to move to a care home in the area she knows.


After a long hospital stay, she moved into Westport Care Centre. She is being well cared for by the excellent staff. She has a well-appointed room.

Mum is happy and healthy at the Centre. She is not really aware of her circumstances but likes the staff and has a rapport with them. When she has a problem it is sorted out.

I have visited my ex-wife’s aunt with her twice recently as I’ve moved closer and both heard and seen great things. The friendly staff and cleanliness impress. The aunt has been very happy here and a fantastic manager. She has handled any issues superbly.
Could not recommend a care centre more highly.

All the carers are helpful and friendly and the manager is very good and friends as well. The rooms are very clean. I have my dad in this home. He's got all good people there that are looking after him very well.

My experience of Westport is entirely positive. I am an only child and Westport has released me from the anxiety of my mothers well being as her dementia increases. She knows she is liked and well cared for, she often tells me so. Westport has a relaxed, caring atmosphere, the staff are kind and create
a family feeling about the place.
Ginger the cat is a nice addition.

I cannot praise the daytime staff at this home enough. They try to do everything possible, to make life more comfortable for my brother. It has been a very stressful time, for him especially, and for us as a family, but the care staff here really helped him feel at ease. He is not the easiest of people
to try and help, as he has always been independent, but the staff would always greet him with a smile.

Rajiv Mungur

Originally from Mauritius, Rajiv came to the UK and did a Diploma in Hospitality Management and Guest Relationships in 2004. I joined Excel Care as a Unit Manager in 2015 and managed one whole floor which consisted of people living with Dementia. Rajiv was well-positioned to meet the challenging needs of people living with Dementia and built empathetic relationships with the patients. In 2019, Rajiv was promoted to Support Operation Manager for the same company which required a high level of delegation and people management. In June 2023 I was promoted to be a home manager for Westport Care Home.
