The dedicated team, many of whom live locally, work in partnership with each person who lives at the home, and their loved ones, to encourage residents to keep active and plan their own daily routines; making their own choices and supporting people to remain as independent as possible. The home is a place of freedom and respect, where people are supported to have a life well lived, each and every day.

Known for the home-from-home environment, high quality care and a fun and friendly atmosphere, Westport has been rated 'GOOD' by CQC (April 2022). They maintain close contact with the vibrant communities of inner London of Limehouse, Shadwell and Mile End - places many of the residents have lived in throughout their lives.

The room is bright and airy - always very clean.
Laundry is regularly done and returned, fresh and clean.
I haven't been present at any mealtimes so cannot comment on food.
Staff seem very helpful and friendly.

My sister is a resident and is very well looked after. They have also recently taken in her husband and he is also very well looked after. I also told the manager that I would be happy to be a resident there should the need arise.

Have cared for my brother for the past 5 years and I am happy with him being at Westport. Staff always notify me of any concerns and keep me up to date with everything. I have spent the last couple of Christmas days there with everyone and the atmosphere, food and everything was lovely. I would recommend
Westport to anyone that needs a care home for their loved one. My husband's father (we wanted him to spend his last days at Westport) received end of life care there and it was a dignified and caring death.

Rajiv Mungur

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2023

Originally from Mauritius, Rajiv came to the UK and did a Diploma in Hospitality Management and Guest Relationships in 2004. I joined Excel Care as a Unit Manager in 2015 and managed one whole floor which consisted of people living with Dementia. Rajiv was well-positioned to meet the challenging needs of people living with Dementia and built empathetic relationships with the patients. In 2019, Rajiv was promoted to Support Operation Manager for the same company which required a high level of delegation and people management. In June 2023 I was promoted to be a home manager for Westport Care Home.
