Spring Grove is situated on the Finchley Road near to Swiss Cottage, in the affluent Hampstead area of North London. The purpose-built residential home offers excellent access to nearby shops and public transport.

The home provides a happy, stimulating environment for residents while offering a comprehensive, individually tailored programme of care.

A nutritious and varied menu is prepared daily at the home which also caters for individual tastes and any dietary requirements.

Residents are offered the chance to participate in a daily schedule of activities organised and supervised by a dedicated team.

Accommodation comprises single and double residential rooms, each with full en-suite facilities including shower and toilet, as well as an extensive range of communal facilities.

These include; kitchenettes on each floor, landscaped gardens with lawns, a cinema room, a well-stocked library, laundry services and a hairdressing salon.

My father was at Spring Grove for some months of rehabilitation, and I was very happy with the care he received. The staff are so friendly and caring. They ensured he was comfortable, and it was so nice to see him laughing and joking with the carers whenever I came to visit him. They knew members of
the family by name and always had time for a chat. It was such a pleasant atmosphere, and I could see that my father was well taken care of. The receptionist was amazing and would always do his best to ensure that he could work out a convenient visiting time slot, taking into account the Government Covid visiting guidelines. The activity timetable had a variety of things to suit a wide range of hobbies and interests. I was happy that the staff encouraged my father to join in, and he loved going for activities. Having the activity schedule sent to relatives was helpful, as I could let the staff know the sort of things my father would like. A brilliant home away from home care home!

The staff at Spring Grove are what really makes the home; they are warm, patient and kind. My mum lights up when one of the staff come in to offer her something, which is very telling of the quality of service provided. The receptionists are a delight, so helpful and accommodating to the relatives as
well as the residents. There is a really varied and fun programme of activities available to the residents each week.

We had looked at quite a few care homes for our then 96-year-old mother. She was increasingly struggling with living at home and we were very pleased to have found Spring Grove, recommended by a friend. The warm atmosphere was immediately apparent, with cheerful, friendly carers and staff. The smiles
and laughter from the residents being entertained in the main lounge added to that feel and we were most impressed with the thought and care taken to provide a daily schedule of activities and entertainment. A copy of the schedule is also emailed each week to relatives, together with a really good, creative and amusing newsletter highlighting the past week’s events. The happy environment has been there each of our many visits since our mother moved to Spring Grove. In those 2-years, she has repeatedly told the family how content she is there, and she is always full of praise for the lovely staff. It is so nice to so often see her and the carers pulling each other’s legs and enjoying a laugh and joke together!

"Before moving to the UK, I was a Registered Nurse (RN) working as a staff nurse for three years in an Emergency Care Unit, in New Delhi, India.


I came to the UK in 2007, initially to study for an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, as part of understanding both the social and medical care provided in the UK.


Whilst a student I initially worked as a Nursing Assistant on a medical ward in an NHS hospital to provide me with the practical experience needed to complete my coursework.


I was fortunate to be able to work for Springdene Nursing and Care Homes, initially as a Senior Care Assistant at Springview, their care home in Enfield.


As I developed my skills, knowledge and exposure to the care home environment, I was promoted to Team Leader, then an opportunity became available to become an Assistant Manager at Spring Grove, Hampstead and then in 2018 became Home Manager.


Although I did not register as a nurse in the UK, the professionalism and clinical knowledge that I was exposed to as a nurse have helped me to be where I am today. By completing my Diploma in Leadership and Management and working my way up to Home Manager, I feel that I have the necessary skills to lead the team and provide high-quality person-centred care to residents."

“I was late joining the nursing profession and after a career in chemical manufacturing/processing, I decided to retrain as a registered nurse.


During my nurse training, I worked regular shifts as a care assistant in various care homes to both enhance my skills and support my family.


In 2008, I finally qualified as a registered nurse and worked on an acute medical ward, completed my preceptorship and built on my nursing skills and knowledge.


Although I enjoyed my time in a hospital ward, I missed the ‘community’ within a care home and decided to devote my career to supporting people who live in care homes, joining Springdene Group in 2014.


I am proud to work for Springdene Nursing and Care Homes, especially as staff, are committed to bringing joy and enrichment to residents' lives, and how each home has a unique identity and resident community.”
