Weybourne care home, located in the leafy heart of Abbeywood in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, is a care facility providing residential care for older people living with dementia.

Weybourne provides a wealth of support services for people living with dementia, with the aim of not just providing care and comfort, but also a new, positive and more engaging stage in their lives. The team of qualified and attentive staff provides 24-hour person-centred dementia care.

The home provides a central courtyard garden that is safe and secure allowing residents to relax and enjoy outdoor activities.

At the heart of Weybourne is its philosophy of care, The Eden Alternative, where social interaction and engagement is encouraged and boredom is eradicated by addressing the three plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom within the home.

It was a testing time placing my mother-in-law in a home, however, the staff have been amazing and helpful during the transition period. The different activities and 'going on's' show what a happy and helpful place this is.

My mother was in the above care home for one year. She received first-class care and I can honestly say she was kept clean and well-fed every day she was there. Her carers were loving and looked after her with great respect and love. Her room was always clean as was her bedding. Me and my family were
all very happy with Weybourne Care Home.

Very well looked after. A great change for me because had to leave my home and became homeless. Great service - outstanding. Realised how very hard carers work. More personal care than in my hospital visit before Weybourne.

My sister has been at Weybourne for 2 years and she is more confident and happy. Weybourne is at very high standard. Manager always notifies me and keeps me posted even for little things which is lovely. Food is excellent according to my sister. I think this is an outstanding home and credit goes to
the manager who trained her staff. Well done!

The experience I get from the care home is good, they provide good support for the residents and they are always treated with respect and dignity. The staff are always helpful and kind. The management is very nice and you can always discuss any concerns. The rooms are always clean and tidy and the facilities
are clean. There is always something for the residents to do and the care home is safe and secure.

Weybourne is an outstanding care home and Mum is very happy to be here. The activities coordinator is fantastic and keeps Mum busy and feeling wanted. The food is amazing and diverse (all due to the chef). The care home manager is always approachable and receptive to suggestions. Our whole family are
very fortunate to have Mum in Weybourne.

My dad was first admitted in May 2022. During the early part of his stay, I felt that his health suffered, due to water retention in his feet and legs. I raised this concern with the manager but mostly, I was ignored. It was very demoralising. Eventually, in April 2023, the home came under new management
and I knew my dad was in kind, caring, capable hands so I didn't worry anymore. Also, the new manager was approachable, kind and a person of 'action', not just words.

Well, what can I say one word really, outstanding. I am extremely happy with the service that my sister is receiving from your services. My mind is at ease knowing that she is being well looked after, the staff are extremely efficient and are always ready with a smile. I totally love the fact that they
are not just left in a chair or a bed and that they still go out into the community and that there are activities put in place. I feel still totally satisfied with all the care that is provided.

I would like to leave my feedback to Weybourne I can't thank everyone, more importantly, everyone was lovely to my mum. Every time I came to see her, she looked always 'stunning' and always happy. I know everyone was looking after her well including myself. They went the extra mile with my mum until
the end. The home manager worked the extra mile when I received the worst notice about mum but I felt so comfortable and loved with the bad news. She looked after me, and all of them looked after me. The manager opened Weybourn's door to me any time. I miss my mum and coming over and spending some time with them. They are very kind and care for me always.
