My mum was in Ashgrove Care Home for about 5-months. I only gave four stars for the following reason, my family and I found the Covid-19 situation very difficult because we were not able to communicate with our mum very well due to PPE and my mum's hearing. Ashgrove Care Home were very helpful with
every request to visit her. The caring staff were very nice to our mum. The administration were very thorough and one member of staff, in particular, was very helpful when needing extra one-to-one care for my mum. The meals were of a good standard. I cannot comment on her room as we were not allowed in it. The home was kept clean.

I am glad that your mother is now within a nursing setting so that she can receive the care and nurture that she needs. We appreciate visits during the Covid outbreak period were tough on everybody, though we were very thankful for your patience during that time.

I can’t give a detailed review as my dad was only there for just over a week before he had to go to hospital.
The manager was really nice, helpful with compassion and professionalism. Giving us a lot of advice and reassurance of my dad's condition, also what to expect.
We had daily updates, sometimes
twice as things changed for him. I truthfully feel that this home has great things going for it under this new management.
My dad has to now move on to a nursing home, have still had text messages asking how he is. This is caring.

We’re only 3 weeks into my mother in laws stay, but in that short time, we’ve noticed a tremendous difference in her. She’s happy and contented and even appears to have put on weight. She’s very complimentary about the staff and all they are doing for her. It’s a great relief to us to see this improvement
in her. She’s enjoying her surroundings for the first time in a long while. In our dealings with the staff, we have found everyone so helpful and friendly. We haven’t been able to fully see her mixing with other residents due to COVID restrictions, but she seems to be making friends already. Thank you to all the staff, they are doing a fantastic job.

The management and staff are always welcoming and friendly to visitors. They treat the residents with care and respect and ensure their safety by continual monitoring. When my mother was very ill, they were excellent in looking after her and helping her to recover. They make sure the residents are given
any help they need with feeding and visits to the toilet. The rooms are clean and tidy. I am very happy my mother is there.

My mum has been in Ash Grove for 2 and a half years. She is very happy there. The staff are very good and they have a laugh with her. The meals are very good and always on time, which is very good when you are older. The home is very clean and the rooms are very pleasant to go in to. The staff are very
friendly to me when I go any visit my mum, I am always greeted with a cup of tea.

My father has been in Ashgrove for just over one year. We visit at different times and every time he has been clean and presentable. The staff and management have always been courteous and caring. His room is small but kept clean and tidy. When we have been there around meal times the food always looks
appetising.

Very little entertainment. I am blind and nothing special is done for me. Mealtimes not always consistent. Help offered if required and go to bed when I want (and get up). Health services are provided in home.
