Bullsmoor Lodge is a purpose-built care home, located close to Waltham Cross in Enfield, Middlesex. It forms part of the AgeCare group, an elderly care provider that aims to provide outstanding care in luxurious five star hotel standard accommodation.

The care home is designed to cater for elderly people requiring standard residential or dementia care. Every bedroom has en-suite facilities, a private telephone, television and emergency call system. All rooms are fully furnished but residents may bring their own furniture as they wish.

The home prides itself on having a professional, caring and considerate team of staff that will always go above and beyond to ensure their residents' comfort, safety and wellbeing. A full programme of activities is run throughout the week for residents to enjoy and participate in.

Mum required three weeks of respite care recently and Bullsmoor Lodge provided an excellent care service. All the staff were caring and professional and it was a relief to know she was being looked after. The relationship between staff and resident was lovely to see. Thank you, to everyone involved.

From our first visit to assess Bullsmoor Lodge Hotel Care Home, we were impressed by the decor and the residents' rooms and facilities and the pleasant relaxed staff we met. From the moment my elderly mother moved into her ensuite room, she was impressed and quickly settled into the care home routine.
The care staff are on hand 24 hours a day and every transaction is recorded and reviewed by the management team. Residents are encouraged to report/discuss any concerns or wishes to the manager.

Mum has been there for just over a year. I can't fault the service we have received, in the most challenging of years. Healthwise my mother has improved over the year, as her medications have been tweaked and she has benefitted from the good nutrition too. She is eating and drinking far more than she
was a couple of years ago. The home is well run, very clean and comfortable. The staff are excellent and the communication from the home is very good.

I can't thank everyone at Bullsmoor Lodge enough. We had peace of mind knowing that Mum was safe and being well looked after. On arrival, Mum had a folder with everything about her interests, needs etc. Within two weeks, Mum knew so many members of staff and their names. The manager has been amazing
and helped us all through this process. Nothing ever seems too much trouble.

A very well run care home with airy rooms, good food, daily activities and caring staff. Staff morale is high and this is reflected in the general atmosphere of the home. Clean and comfortable throughout. Have viewed many care homes and this is the best.

My mum has been in the care home for almost 10 years and has always received excellent care. She has always enjoys her meals, which have been adapted to suit her needs. Her private room is kept to a very good standard. The staff are so happy and willing to help and care. They continuously work hard

My mum went into Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home in March 2021. She has received excellent care since she has been a resident and all the staff go above and beyond to cater to all the service user's different needs. My mum has been unwell on a couple of occasions and the staff have kept us updated as to how
she is doing and I have been able to talk to her on the phone. Also over the Covid isolation, the home have been very helpful in informing us of the guidelines and when we will be able to visit. They are all very helpful and caring and I am so glad that mum is enjoying her time there.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Bullsmoor Lodge to anyone looking for a home for their mother or father with dementia. My mum has been there for three years and I can honestly say she's extremely happy and content, pampered and cared for by all the wonderful staff.

My mum has been in Bullsmoor Lodge for 2 years it took her a while to settle and join in with activities due to her dementia but the staff were very patient and supportive. She is now settled and very happy and she cannot praise the staff enough and believe me mum would let us know if she wasn’t happy!
Everyone from management down is warm, friendly and approachable as a family we are very happy with the care mum receives it really is the closest to home from home you can get.

Staff are really friendly, caring and look after your every need.
In 2011/2012 I was a resident.
Then every year I have had respite care there and would not wish to go elsewhere.
I like to think I am classed as young now 53 but that has not been a problem for Bullsmoor Lodge accepting me as a
resident or for respite.
Highly recommend.
If you are looking for a clean good care home with decent staff who will respect you look into these guys.
The level of care you receive is constantly being enforced and standards are kept at a very high standard by management the great nurses and care staff and every single member of their team.

Thank you to the home manager and all the staff at Bullsmoor Lodge for welcoming my parents to their new home. Mum and Dad have been married 70 years, they were apprehensive about making such a big change to their lives particularly during the present COVID situation. I can only give praise, thanks
and appreciation for the care and kindness that has been shown to them since moving into Bullsmoor together. That same kindness has also been shown to the family too which has and is helping all of us adjust. Mum and Dad are happy, safe and together... we couldn’t ask for more. Bullsmoor Lodge and the manager are a credit to Scimitar.

I have been visiting a friend in Bullsmoor Lodge on a regular basis for a couple of years. It is a lovely, homely place. The staff are very caring and seem to work very hard trying to cater to all the needs of the residents. The managers have high standards and the place always seems to have a nice
vibe. The food always looks delicious and the residents seem to enjoy their meals. 10/10.

My mother was a resident at Bullsmoor Lodge for only a short 7 months during which time she only had praise for all the staff and the care she received. When in her last 3 weeks she was diagnosed with a terminal condition, I witnessed first hand the care she had always praised, and the speed and professional
way an end of life care plan was brought in and instigated by the staff, who nothing was ever too much trouble for. All the staff were also very thoughtful and supportive of all of us the family.

Caring staff. The home is clean and tidy especially individual rooms. It always smells fresh when entering the home. There is background music most of the time which gives a homely feel to the home. Medical problems are always dealt with quickly with family being informed as soon as possible. Overall

Mum became a resident in Bullsmoor Lodge during September 2019. The first impression of the home is welcoming, clean and bright. Mum's room is newly decorated and on the ground floor near to all she needs. Staff from management to helpers are all dedicated to providing a caring environment for the residents.
I am particularly impressed with the regular medical check-ups and visits from the GP.

Whenever we visit my sister-in-law, she is always happy, stimulated and well cared for. Bullsmoor Lodge is always clean and fresh with very well presented furniture and facilities. There is a great variety of activities and staff are always encouraging, warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble.
Bullsmoor Lodge is a wonderful place to be, whether you are a resident or a visitor.

Shirley began her care journey in her teens, volunteering in various care sectors. After gaining valuable knowledge and confidence in the profession, she officially joined Bullsmoor Lodge in 2008, where she achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Over the years, Shirley has progressed through various roles, eventually becoming Care Coordinator in 2017. In this role, she works closely with management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Shirley thrives on challenges and enjoys taking on new projects. Maggie

Maggie Jackson

Maggie has worked in the care industry for 15 years, beginning her career at Bullsmoor Lodge. She progressed from Care Assistant to Senior, and since 2017, has held the role of Care Coordinator, working closely with the Manager. Maggie holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, as well as a Level 5 qualification as a Health Care Practitioner. Although qualified in Phlebotomy, she chose to remain in the care sector, driven by her passion for making a positive difference in residents' lives.
