Davids House is a purpose-built home offering residential and residential dementia care located in a quiet residential area of Harrow with public transport, London Underground and national rail stations close by.

My Mother in Law has been very settled and enjoyed being at the home for 4 years. Her mental and physical health has deteriorated, but she is still being looked after very well. There has been a change of staff over the last year which has made a lot of a difference in the way staff communicate if there
is anything that my Mother in Law needs in terms of clothing, toiletries etc. The staff do a great job, working with this client/resident group, which is not always a smooth task.

All staff are caring and attentive. My resident cousin is happy at David's House and appears to be very well fed.

Friendly, helpful staff who generally engage well with visitors. Sometimes staff are busy with other residents and unable to attend to toileting needs when necessary. Sometimes a more pro-active approach to developing mobility/social skills could be adopted.
A range of activities are provided e.g.,
community singing, celebrations, trips out etc.
Facilities and services (eg., hairdresser) are very much appreciated. I have not visited at meal times, so cannot comment on the quality of food, although published menus seem varied.

A superb care home providing excellent care especially dementia sufferers. All residents are always clean and well presented. There are lots of activities for them to take part in. The meals are well cooked, nutritional and presented nicely. The staff are all amazingly kind and really look after the
residents.

We were impressed by the warm, friendly and homely atmosphere from our first visit. My mother has been a resident for six weeks, and her well-being has improved. Staff make a real effort to engage with her, and all of the residents. David’s House feels like a family home, and we feel that this has helped
her to settle and adjust to life there.


She also enjoys the variety of food and excellent fresh meals prepared daily by the chef and team.

Attended a resident/friend's 90th birthday. The staff made us very welcome from the moment we arrived early afternoon. Shortly after our arrival and meeting our resident/friend, the staff started preparing one half of the lounge for a birthday party. The chef brought in a beautiful cake, especially
baked and iced and tables were laid for the special celebration tea. During the celebrations, the staff were very attentive to everyone's needs. A most happy occasion which our resident friend thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to everyone at David's House.

My mother moved into David's House 2 months ago. From the start, she and we were impressed with the warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Having looked at other care homes this was the one my mother thought best suited her needs. We were amazed at how quickly she settled in.


She finds the staff

friendly and helpful, the food good and her room comfortable. The staff work as a team to treat residents as individuals, understanding and responding to their different interests and needs. My mother's regular visitors have all commented on how well she seems. They are always greeted by the staff with a smile and made to feel welcome.


Music plays a big part in making for a cheerful atmosphere and to help the residents, particularly those with dementia, remember past times.

My wife has been in David's House for five and a half years now, and I have nothing but praise for the love and care which she has received during that time. Visiting David's House is like visiting an extended family. All the staff are approachable, including the manager whose office is right by the
front door and accessible. Each resident receives care appropriate to their needs both day and night, and are treated as individual people. If one needs care, I cannot imagine a better place to be.

I am very happy with the way my friend is being cared for both physically and mentally. My friend suffers from a state of high anxiety which they try to relieve, not always successfully sadly. He is being well looked after and is now better physically than he was when he was at home.

I cannot praise the staff of David's House enough.
The staff are caring, thoughtful and so importantly respectful to all the residents.
They understand the upset, stress and confusion their dementia residents can face, on a daily basis and show them kindness, patience and understanding.
David's House
is managed and run extremely efficiently, all the staff work so very hard, and families of the residents are always kept up to date.
They work hard to organise many events for the residents and families together, and these are joyful occasions.
My Mother can very often be upset and distressed for a period of time, but I know with confidence, that her emotional needs are dealt with during these times with compassion, dignity and in a professional manner.
I would highly recommend David's House.

This is a lovely care home in central Harrow. The rooms are all furnished but residents can bring their own favourite items and make it their own. There is a tea room for entertaining guests and there is a pleasant garden for relaxing. But it is the staff that make this place really special. My mother
was settled in and cared for with kindness and affection. The staff are very professional, but also friendly and reassuring. They will make time to talk to you about your loved one and discuss his or her individual needs. Our whole family enjoyed our visits to Davids House, and we felt confident that our mother was well cared for and in good hands. Celebrating our loved ones is important.
I particularly remember what fun the Christmas party was, Davids House was packed with families, old and young alike. And we all joined in with the singing and dancing. I am very grateful to the staff at Davids House for making my mothers time there so comfortable and safe.

My mother has been in David's House for four years. Her needs have changed during her time at the care home and she has always been well looked after. The staff turnover is low so the carers have got to know my mother. The staff are kind and treat the residents as individuals and meet their individual
needs.
The care home also works closely with the families of the residents.

I was amazed when visiting David's House. The level of care, consideration & dedication is above anything I would have ever imagined. Hearing the singing with the staff members and then the singing & exercise with the professional was outstanding. If I needed a dementia home this is where I would want
to be.

My father came to David's House after a short stay in respite care in a different home. The staff in David's House are lovely. They are experienced in caring for dementia patients. It has a calm feel about the place. On entering it can feel a little enclosed but there are quite a few quiet places to
sit with relatives. My father is still very mobile and when time permits the staff will go out for a short walk with him. He is beginning to settle into his new surroundings.
