Davids House is a purpose-built home offering residential and residential dementia care located in a quiet residential area of Harrow with public transport, London Underground and national rail stations close by.

They pride themselves on providing a homely, personalised environment and ensure residents and their families are at the centre of everything they do, as are core values of dignity and respect. With comfortably furnished, en-suite bedrooms, Davids House residents can enjoy a service that respects their privacy and dignity, while enjoying numerous activities and personal interests supported by a friendly care team.

I am the advocate for an elderly gentleman at David's House. He is treated with respect and dignity at all times and the place has a very homely and friendly atmosphere. The staff shows extreme patience and understanding to him even though he gets quite demanding and and bad-tempered at times. The support
and reassurance at all times, from Management, senior staff and carers are just superb, and it has helped my friend to settle down happily in David's house. He is now very friendly and helpful to the other residents. Yes I will recommend David's house to anyone who is looking for placement.

Mum was extremely well looked after. The carers always treat her with kindness and respect. The home is very clean and comfortable and a wide range of activities/entertainment are provided for those who can still enjoy it. The management and senior carers are very approachable should we have any concerns.
I always feel confident that mum is in a safe and loving environment.

My father has been at the home for 6 weeks now and has settled in well. He has put on weight thanks to the team encouraging him to eat. He is happy and has settled in well.

I am a regular visitor to this home and over the course of several years I have established links with a number of residents. It is an excellent home, deserving its strong local reputation. It has friendly and committed staff with strong leadership and is excellent at dementia care, keeping up community
links and involving relatives.

My father has been resident at David's House for a year now and I am so glad he is in such a happy and caring environment. He is treated with kindness by attentive and thoughtful staff and I can relax because I know his needs are being met. His quality of life is good - much better than when he lived
on his own and he, and all the residents, are treated as individuals. David's House has a pretty garden which dad enjoys in warm weather, and a very homely, friendly appearance. David's House is very special, it feels like a family and I know they genuinely care for dad.

My in-laws have been residents @ David's House for 18 months after a move from another care home in the area. What a difference - it is staggering the difference in the quality of care. We are so relieved they are in good hands now. Many homes profess to be specialists in dementia, but this is not
always reflected in their care standards and training. David's House truly are specialists in dementia - their agenda of activities is geared to stimulating residents - Music Therapy, Exercise & Movement and regular visits from Pet Therapy charities. Despite it being a big effort they also have great outings to museums, gardens and seaside and encourage family to attend as well. Plan regular outings they welcome volunteers and as well as some great excursions. Things on the Activity Calendar actually happen - it is not printed just for show!


By far the biggest difference for us as a family is how they encourage and welcome our involvement - the Manager has an open door policy, you are always made to feel welcome. In the perfect world nothing would go wrong, but that is not realistic - so having a Manager and staff that listen is very important. As a family we feel well supported by David's House, the reputation of the organisation MHA is also reassuring for us.


Placing loved ones care into the hands of others is very difficult and scary, I wish we had found David's House first time around. My advice would be to look beyond the local management of the home, check the reputation of the holding company, performance at other homes, how well supported are the carers, when did they last receive a pay increase, how regularly do they review the care fees. Finally, talk to other relatives.
