Gate Lodge is a well-established, 21 bedded residential home for the elderly, which is registered by the London Borough of Croydon. The home was founded in 1984.

It is situated in a quiet residential area near the exclusive Webb estate, within a short distance from Purley town centre. It has a well kept front and back garden which is regularly used by the residents during the summer months. Gate Lodge specialises in both short and long stay care for frail, elderly people and also for those with short term memory loss.

The home is family run and provides a safe, warm environment in a homely atmosphere. Experienced, friendly and caring staff provides 24 hour cover.

I was very nervous of having to put my dad into a home but I have found the staff to be so helpful and understanding that it has made me more relaxed and my dad feels a lot calmer. He now has company and is given the time to be more active in himself where at home he was on his own apart from my visits
daily and the carer. He is now kept to a routine for meals which is a good thing and I know that he is getting the nutrition that he needs. We were aloud to bring in personal things e.g T.V. Radio which made him feel more relaxed.
