Upon arrival at the Sidcup care home, you'll discover seven acres of beautifully landscaped wheelchair-friendly gardens, allowing all residents to appreciate the picturesque scenery. Comprising three stunning buildings, the home accommodates 149 resident bedrooms, each equipped with en-suite wet rooms and kitchenettes.

The care home boasts fantastic on-site facilities, including a hair and beauty salon for residents who want a little TLC, bright and spacious lounges which provide a comfortable space to unwind, and a restaurant serving freshly prepared seasonal cuisine during mealtimes.

The team offer various forms of support, catering to different needs. Residential care is available for those requiring extra support with basic day-to-day activities. My mum is extremely happy at Frognal House - I ask her every time I visit and she always says she really likes it. Initially she didn't want to join in the activities this has completely changed and she is joining in with lots of things now. All of the staff are very caring and kind and mum is well
looked after.

My mum has been a resident at Frognal for 2 years now and has received a very good level of care throughout. I attended the summer BBQ this month which was very enjoyable with plenty of food and drink and some pleasant entertainment. My mum really enjoyed the day. It was great to see everyone having
fun in the sun, the event was a big success and very inclusive. This care home was recommended to me by a colleague and I have also recommended it to friends of mine as I feel it provides a sense of home and belonging for my mum and I'm happy with the overall service available which is good value for money when compared to other options.

Avery staff always make a lot of effort to make their events enjoyable. Mum and I (and my sister) enjoyed the music, food, etc. The weather was lovely but it would be great if the canopy could be replaced as the direct sun was quite hot.

Despite my reservations about being in a residential home environment, I enjoyed the experience. Although not able to have much conversation with other residents I enjoyed the company and conversation of the many members of staff who were always willing to have a chat. I didn't participate in the activities
except a bit of flower arranging and I enjoyed the piano player. It's a disappointment that the trips out whilst I was there to the Lavender Fields did not happen. Also, it's a shame the new facilities upstairs in the new lounge, verandah and tea-making facilities were not available when guests visited.

My mother has had two admissions for holiday cover, before becoming a resident. This really helped the transition. The staff are all lovely, attentive, caring and always supportive. My mother loves the food and the environment is not that of an institution but of a home. The staff provide daily entertainment
which is varied and appropriate.

Had a fantastic Easter Extravaganza day at Frognal House Care Home. Raffle, excellent singer and hot cross buns were all part of the day. Not seen my aunt dance for a long time, but we couldn’t stop her. She and our family had a great afternoon, all helped by the warmth of the care staff. Well done

My grandmother's care at Frognal is amazing, the residents, relatives, and staff are like one big family. The home is extremely clean. The staff are extremely kind, caring, and attentive. The residents are kept safe and very well cared for. I can't compliment this care home enough.

I came here for two weeks respite. When I viewed the home to see if it was right for me I met the client liaison manager, he was so welcoming, warm and kind-hearted. Perfect for what I was looking for and he didn't disappoint. I had a great two weeks here, enjoyed it all. The staff are amazing, every

My husband who is 93 and has vascular dementia has stayed with you twice and been really happy. All the staff seem to care and the atmosphere is calm and happy. He loves to join in all the activities and read the daily newspaper and programme.

We selected Frognal House for our mum having visited many others in the area. Whilst I'm sure they all would have cared for her well, the staff, facilities and the friendly & genuine caring environment at Frognal really stood out for us. Once she moved in we immediately knew we'd made the right choice
for her. The staff made sure she settled in well, the care was exceptional, the activities provided were incredible, and we & other visitors were always made welcome. It really is impossible to find any fault or criticism. Knowing how well she was being looked after and how happy she was there was a huge relief for all her family and I can't thank the staff and management enough. I would have no hesitation in recommending Frognal House.

This was the first time I used Frognal House Care Home for my brother's respite care. I found the staff very helpful and professional when we were settling my brother into the Dementia unit. My brother is usually very reluctant to go into respite care but he seemed happier when I spoke to him on the
telephone when I was away. He seemed better orientated and much less anxious than usual.
When we arrived to take him home he was happier and better orientated than is usually the case. I found the staff very warm and caring. They had clearly built up a very positive relationship with my brother. I felt that they understood him well and had made a great effort to get to know him. I could see that they liked and appreciated my brother's personality despite the severity of his illness. I very much appreciated and admired the staff, their skills and their overall approach which is a great credit to the service.

I just wanted to write a quick review as to my experience with Frognal so far with my Grandad being a new permanent resident and I honestly cannot fault anything. The staff in all teams and areas of the home are always happy to go above and beyond and anytime I visit I am always made to feel so welcome
and at home, I always look forward to visiting and seeing what activities are on for the day. The Frognal family are a credit to the Avery Collection. Cannot recommend enough.

I am so happy that Mum and I chose Frognal House Care Home - Avery Collection for her to spend the last year of her life. She was cared for with love and care. The carers are fabulous.
When my mum became unwell after having Covid the attention and care she received was second to none. They not
only supported my mum but they were there for the family too.
I do not know how we would have coped without the support.

Very pleased with the care offered to our Mum at Frognal House Care Home - Avery Collection. Can't fault the caring staff and the quality of care. My wife, sister and l visit several times a week and we are so pleased she is in a safe, secure and happy environment.
Just back from their Halloween party,
just one of the events they regularly hold for residents and their families and the staff pulled out all the stops to make it a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

My mother has been in Frongnal House for more than a year now, and she is extremely happy there. There is a high standard of person-centred care, with the care staff responding to her particular needs. Mum really appreciates having her hair done in the hair salon, plus the visits from the chiropodist.
The grounds are stunning, and when the weather allows, we always go outside for a coffee and chat. The care staff are always patient, kind, cheerful and competent.

Hello, I’m Fiona, I entered the care sector at the age of 15, previously to this role I was a registered nurse and currently have over 30 years working within a care home setting covering residential, dementia care, mental health and nursing care.


I am passionate about all aspects of care being person-centred to ensure that residents live a fulfilling life. My main interests in care are dementia, medication and end-of-life care.


I have been at Frognal since March 2023 and my main ethos along with the other members of the team is for Frognal to be the best that it can be. I’m happy to meet with any family/friends to discuss the care of your loved ones.
