Upon arrival at the Sidcup care home, you'll discover seven acres of beautifully landscaped wheelchair-friendly gardens, allowing all residents to appreciate the picturesque scenery. Comprising three stunning buildings, the home accommodates 149 resident bedrooms, each equipped with en-suite wet rooms and kitchenettes.

The care home boasts fantastic on-site facilities, including a hair and beauty salon for residents who want a little TLC, bright and spacious lounges which provide a comfortable space to unwind, and a restaurant serving freshly prepared seasonal cuisine during mealtimes.

The team offer various forms of support, catering to different needs. Residential care is available for those requiring extra support with basic day-to-day activities. When my cousin and I were looking for a suitable care facility for my aunt we visited several care homes. We decided on Frognal House because of it's caring staff, safety, security and activities.
We often visit and find my aunt happy, cared for and enjoying all aspects of the home.
She loves the
food and the sing-songs in particular. We are encouraged by the comments and care shown. She says she is very happy here and loves a good old chat.

Decorations had been put on walls and tables.
Ice cream sundaes were on offer.

My parents moved in last week. From my first visit, I was very impressed with the quality of the accommodation and the atmosphere. Each and every member of staff that I spoke to were so friendly, caring and compassionate. My parents settled in quickly to their apartment and are enjoying their new environment
and having the assistance they require, but still feel a sense of independence.


This is a first class establishment with the most wonderful staff - you couldn't hope for any better!

Mum moved into Sunrise of Frognall in February 2017. It was a worrying time but Mum has settled in very well. The thing that Sunrise excels in is their staff. They are wonderful, witty, caring, have time for the residents and try to keep them occupied by providing many activities to join in.


I would

definitely recommend Sunrise! I'd like to say a special thank you to Mum's carer who is wonderful. She is an absolute credit to your care home. When no one else can get through to my mum, she can. Mum had a urine infection and needed to drink more. Mum told her carer that she hated drinking water so her carer brought her in a bottle of barley juice and got her drinking this regularly. To me, this was going over and above in her role and showed a true want to help and support us as a family. She is an absolute credit and I would like to nominate her for an award.

The staff are all so friendly and always smiling. The homely, welcoming atmosphere makes visiting a pleasure. The residents are always clean and tidy and the home always smells pleasant. My friend has settled very quickly and is happy in her new home, full of fun and laughter.

Sunrise have been very accommodating to my mother's needs and have tailored a particular plan to cater for them.


They have a flexible, friendly attitude, but do ensure the essentials are catered for their residents.

Dad has resided at Sunrise of Frognal House for just over three years and in August reached the grand age of 100, with family arriving from all over the world I wondered how on earth I would cope.
I needn't have worried, Sunrise of Frognal House pulled out all the stops to help me and give dad the
most wonderful party ever. The marquee was decorated, photo's of his life were put on display, champagne served and the most sumptuous buffet prepared. My thanks to all the staff at Sunrise for a truly memorable occasion and for being so kind, caring and supportive in the way you look after Dad.

My very dear friend moved into Sunrise about 4 years ago. The trauma of selling up her home was very great for her.
However, being able to bring with her the favourite items of furniture and possessions deviated that stress. She was made most welcome by the staff and they make every effort to help
her settle in. She is 96 years old this year. She obviously has had some health problems but the staff have been most responsive to her needs.
The chef makes sure her food is mashed for her as she has problems swallowing. She is very deaf, yet the staff accommodate this and she loves sitting in the foyer watching the activities and reading her daily newspaper. The place can be likened to a 5-star hotel. Foyer, bistro and en-suite rooms excellent.

I have been going to Sunrise for about 4 years visiting a lady who is now 96 years old. When she arrived there, with the help of my friend and I, she was quite unwell and unable to care for herself. With good food, lovely surroundings and very caring staff, she has continued a much happier life, never
lonely and everything is done for her. My friend and I say when the time comes, this is the place for us.

We have always found everyone at Sunrise very helpful and very friendly we are always able to help ourselves to a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. One negative comment is clothes are not always going to the right room from laundry and sometimes items go missing.

When I arrived at Sunrise there was a "good" feeling. Everyone was friendly with a smile. I was directed to the information desk where my questions were answered. The home is clean and inviting. Information packs are available relating eg accommodation, dining, light precautions, laundry, maintenance,
outings, post, well-being, hairdressing etc. I'm pleased I became a resident here.

Since living here I have settled in well, pleasant and friendly staff have helped with this. Friends I have made here have made me settle in their company also. I make use of the visits by coach etc. visiting the area around here at various places.

The care home is friendly, bright and cheerful. They provide a lot of activities for the residents. The communal areas and gardens are clean and tidy. The residents are always well turned out. They make the family who visits residents welcome problems/issues are responded to very well by the care manager
whose door is always open. The only issue is the time it sometimes takes to answer the call bell. There have been several occasions where my mother has waited a long time (Up to 1 hour) to be taken to the bathroom and put to bed. Not all carers are told the background to my mother and so do not know how to take her to the bathroom, etc. My mother is very immobile and her bathroom does not allow for her to have as if it was a "wet room" then she could shower.

I just love it here and always feel cared for. I have my cat living with me and the staff are always inquiring about his welfare. All the staff are friendly and respectful. I wouldn't wish to live anywhere else.

Definitely the best home in this area. Wonderful location with fantastic gardens. Staff are all very helpful and friendly. Parking is still a challenge as normally very busy. Communication and regular feedback could be improved. Meals and entertainment facilities are first class.

The staff at Sunrise are caring, compassionate, smiling, happy and extremely welcoming. Even though my father was only in there a few months, they treated him with dignity and respect. They were alert to his problems and he called them his angels. The building was always clean and they always welcomed
everyone. Even after he passed on, they still showed dignity and respect. His last journey was from Sunrise and the carers and management came out to pay their respect. They lined the drive and to this day, his family found it overwhelming and cannot thank them enough.

Hello, I’m Fiona, I entered the care sector at the age of 15, previously to this role I was a registered nurse and currently have over 30 years working within a care home setting covering residential, dementia care, mental health and nursing care.
