Riverview Lodge, in the Kingsbury area of London, is well-equipped to achieve excellent residential and residential dementia care for 36 residents in en suite accommodation. The home is located next to a church and has a lovely view overlooking a stream from the well tended garden.

The home prides itself on providing a homely, safe environment and ensures residents and their families are at the centre of everything as are its core values of dignity and respect.

The interior has been purpose-built to suit the challenges of both residents and carers, with quality furnishings and communal areas to contribute to a pleasant social atmosphere.

Residents enjoy a varied activity schedule prepared by the Activity Coordinator which includes arts and crafts, gardening, baking and armchair exercises. The on site hair salon is perfect for a spot of pampering and if residents prefer some quiet time, they can relax in the sensory garden and reminiscence room.

My mother has been living at River View Lodge for over 5 years. The staff are always caring towards the residents, trying to make their home a happy place to be. I have always been made welcome no matter what time I arrive.
Obviously, it's not a good idea to turn up when staff are trying to get residents
ready for bed or when helping them to get up and washed and dressed. Whenever you arrive you are offered tea and a biscuit just as you would be when you arrived at your parent's home.
The home is bright and spotlessly clean. I have never walked in and noticed any unpleasant smells. The food is cooked on site by a chef who caters for all diets. The rooms are very well furnished and cleaned daily by the wonderful happy cleaning staff. Well done to all who work at Riverview Lodge and thank you for doing such a hard job.
I don't know how I would have managed without your help.

My friend had already been diagnosed with cancer in advanced stages before he was admitted to Riverview Lodge care home, where he remained until his passing. Over the years I have had extensive experience of many different care homes, but never once have I encountered one like Riverview Lodge. On the
surface, the care provided was efficient, professional, and caring. But there was a deeper level at which the staff – from the cleaners to the managers – seemed to make a spiritual connection with those who needed it. My friend was an atheist but this did not prevent him from having a deep and meaningful friendship with the chaplain in the last few weeks of his life. I experienced deep compassion and support expressed both towards myself and towards my friend, by many different members of staff. I took this as evidence of a very deep level of spirituality permeating the whole ethos of this wonderful home.

My father spent two weeks respite here this July, 2016. I am extremely happy with the service and the care that was provided for father. He enjoyed the food. He has returned home a different man, his confidence and self-esteem has been boosted. My family and I also enjoyed visiting him, the experience
was very pleasant and friendly. The staff were helpful, supportive, very understanding and accommodating.

My relative is very well taken care of at Riverview, even when I am unable to visit, I know that she is treated with care and love. I visit at different times, always unexpected and there is such a nice atmosphere.
Warm friendly staff and kind, understanding management. One evening when visiting my
relative looked peaceful and serene. There was a loving atmosphere in her room and it was clear she has been gently handled during her personal care. Before going to bed (also, her hair is always braided lovely). Thank you!
