Springview is a purpose-built residential care home situated near to Enfield town centre.

Originally opened in 1987, the residential home stands in tranquil surroundings close to green belt countryside with views overlooking Enfield golf course and beyond.

Springview offers a welcoming, luxurious and safe place for residents, as well as a comprehensive, individually tailored programmes of care.

2018 saw a £1.5m refurbishment programme with the addition of extensive resident communal areas including lounges and a south-facing terrace with spectacular views across London.

Residents can enjoy regular outings to both local and London based places of interest, as well as entertainment venues and restaurants.

There is ample on-site visitor parking so that the home can be visited easily by friends and family.

My father stayed at Springview for two weeks' respite care while I went on holiday. The staff were kind and welcoming and were always available to help when he had continence difficulties during the night. My father was happy with his room and the facilities. He said the food was excellent. Sometimes
he didn't know how things worked, but he "did not want to bother the busy staff". Some were misunderstandings on his part, so could staff please ensure that residents, especially those only staying for a short time, understand how things work; eg there was a bath in his room that he could not climb into, but no one told him there was a well-equipped shower room with seat, grab handles, etc, where staff could help him shower. He also waited each morning, once dressed, for someone to tell him to go down to breakfast, but he didn't know he could just go when he was ready. Generally, a very nice, clean, comfortable and well-equipped home, and I would be happy if my father had to stay there again.

Springview has been amazing during Covid. The measures that have been implemented have been amazing, and as family members, we have been reassured that our relative has been kept safe. The home staff have always been polite, courteous and helpful.

This review takes into consideration that for the majority of the time that Dad has been resident visiting has been severely restricted, for obvious reasons. The family are grateful to Springview and the staff for making visits possible, especially the use of the gazebo, whenever it was deemed safe.
Whether visiting Dad in person or talking via Skype, he has never had a bad word to stay about Springview or the staff. He is very complimentary about the care given and the quality of the food. Dad always looks well cared for and happy in himself, and we thank the staff concerned for making this happen. We have been pleased with the ease and level of communication between ourselves and the home. We have been happy with the way we have been updated about how Coronavirus has affected Springview, although we would strongly encourage any staff members who are not yet vaccinated to have the jab as this would ease our concerns, particularly when we are on the verge of a third wave.

The care provided by Springview is outstanding. The staff are conscientious and professional, and crucially, this professionalism is underpinned by kindness and good humour.
I cannot recommend them highly enough, and it is a great comfort to know my mother is being cared for by such dedicated, skilled

Wonderful care for my mum. She entered Springview at the height of Covid in August 2020 and has been extremely well cared for since then. Big call out to one lady and her team on the 1st floor. Mum has settled in well, and so pleased I chose Springview for Mum. Would highly recommend Springview.

My mother is well cared for and seems extremely happy. We have taken advantage of the visits, and find the staff very helpful and pleasant organising the required tests. My mother was discharged from the hospital after having COVID. It was a very stressful time for us as we were unable to visit any homes because of the pandemic and had to choose a home for her without visiting.
The staff at Springview did everything they could to help us with this choice. They have
spent time on the phone explaining the procedures, and when my mother arrived, they kept us updated with how she was settling in.
They have helped her feel at home, ensuring she has home comforts around her, and also assisting her to gain her strength back and become more mobile again after her 6-weeks stay in hospital. They have sorted out her medication requests, and when she broke her tooth, took her to her own dentist. She often says to me, "when I got back to the hotel" after these visits! I know that she has trained carers looking after her, and yet, she feels she is in a hotel. The carers are so patient and friendly and are always available to talk to me if I am concerned in any way.

My father had a stroke in December of last year, and he has been a resident since March of this year. I can say that the home is in a beautiful location, nice and quiet. The manager and the carers have been so helpful and caring. All our needs have been met.

The staff at Springview really know my mum well and care about all her needs. It feels like she has another big family. She is clean and well dressed, and her nutritional needs and health issues are monitored well.

The home itself is very nice, the rooms are modern and comfortable, most of the staff seem very nice and friendly and helpful although the exceptions are to the extreme of this i.e. rude, unhelpful, dismissive and uncaring. Basic requirements have not always been carried out (i.e. dietary requirements,
assistance with daily tasks such as eating, drinking, going to the toilet), personal hygiene, understanding my mother's actual needs and the appropriate care plan being put in place for her needs. The food seems to be, on the whole, very nice, and the menus have good choices. I have had to complain on several occasions and I find the Manager quite aggressive and feel he is not fully taking on board the problems brought to his attention. Objective criticism should be helpful and a learning curve, not taken as a personal attack which I have found to be very unprofessional.

“I was late joining the nursing profession and after a career in chemical manufacturing/processing, I decided to retrain as a registered nurse.


During my nurse training, I worked regular shifts as a care assistant in various care homes to both enhance my skills and support my family.


In 2008, I finally qualified as a registered nurse and worked on an acute medical ward, completed my preceptorship and built on my nursing skills and knowledge.


Although I enjoyed my time in a hospital ward, I missed the ‘community’ within a care home and decided to devote my career to supporting people who live in care homes, joining Springdene Group in 2014.
