My cousin has been living at Spring Lane for the past 3-years and she is very happy.
She often comments when I visit (including last week), 'they are all very nice'.
I have been very impressed with both the level of care and attention to detail.
There are lots of long term staff who know residents
well, and this helps everyone feel like a family.
Especially during the past 12-months when it has been difficult to visit, I have been impressed with the care offered, and help in ensuring we maintain contact. There are a good range of activities available if you would like to participate; but also good respect if you would rather not.
Before the pandemic, I would sometimes have lunch with my cousin and really impressed with the freshness and variety of food; as well as foods that are familiar for the residents.
I visit many care homes as part of my job and I am so glad we chose Spring Lane for my cousin as it really does stand out as a good place to live.

My friend has been a resident in Spring Lane for four years, and I have missed her so much during the Pandemic. But the staff have facilitated Skype calls throughout, so we have been able to be in touch. In May, finally, I was able to visit in person, and after a test and fully masked etc, I was able
to talk with my friend. It was such a wonderful experience - she was well, happy and looked after so well by the marvellous Spring Lane staff. She could not be better cared for.

My wife has Alzheimer's/Dementia and has been cared for at Spring Lane for the past two years. The care she has received has been outstanding. I have found the staff to be caring and competent; displaying respect, professionalism and kindness. My wife's medical, social and personal care has been of
the highest standard. Communication is excellent. I am always kept informed of any medical issues and dealings with the GP and hospital as well as her social interaction in the home via photo/video.


The most important thing is that Spring Lane is a happy community with lots of activities going on. I am always made welcome whenever I phone or visit.
I am so grateful to all the staff for the care they give my wife, especially over the past twelve months.

I am pleased with the way that the staff at Spring Lane have looked after my mother during the pandemic. The visiting restrictions have been hard for everybody, but I have felt confident throughout that her needs were being met and that she was safe. The staff at Spring Lane are very caring, and my
mother has always been very happy and content living there.

I am very happy with the care given to my mother, and the attitude of the care staff who are very caring, empathetic and kind, as well as being very professional and dealing with any medical issues promptly. There is a lovely atmosphere at Spring Lane and it is good that the dementia sufferers are
able to mix with the other residents and join in activities with them. The food seems to be very good. I always feel that the managers are on top of issues, and deal with them well, and keep the family informed. There is quite a bit of staff turnover, due to the area being too expensive for care workers to live, but there is a core of long term staff who know my mother well, and the new staff who join are very friendly and get to know my mother quickly, and seem to genuinely care for her, and like dealing with her.
We have had a few problems with the laundry, and I have asked for my concerns to be addressed.

I began my career in care when I was 16 via volunteering at the local older people’s lunch club. I knew from this time that I wanted to pursue a career in care and took a role as a carer for adults with learning disabilities whilst continuing with my volunteering role. When I moved to London I had the wonderful opportunity of being able to do a modern apprenticeship in a care home for older people. I knew straight away that I had found the ideal job for me.

I am passionate about ensuring people are cared for in the way they want, that promotes and enables them to live life as they would to choose to.

I have worked in various care homes in the charitable, local authority and private sector. I have been working at Spring Lane since 2013 and have never looked back, I have progressed from Carer to Unit Manager. Spring Lane really has a home-from-home atmosphere and a caring community spirit.

“I was a late joining the nursing profession and after a career in chemical manufacturing/processing, I decided to retrain as a registered nurse.


During my nurse training, I worked regular shifts as a care assistant in various care homes to both enhance my skills and support my family.


In 2008, I finally qualified as a registered nurse and worked on an acute medical ward, completed my preceptorship and built on my nursing skills and knowledge.


Although I enjoyed my time in a hospital ward, I missed the ‘community’ within a care home and decided to devote my career to supporting people who live in care homes, joining Springdene Group in 2014.

He joined Spring Lane in 2021 as a Unit Manager and is currently the Interim Home Manager. In addition to his care experience, he also holds a degree in Business and Healthcare Management from Anglia Ruskin University. With a focus on fostering a culture of compassion, excellence, and continuous improvement, he is dedicated to ensuring that Spring Lane remains a place where residents receive the highest standard of care and where staff feel supported and empowered to deliver their best.
