Dear Olivia, Thank you for your lovely comments about staff. You are quite right about the problem with vacancies in care sector. A think tank reports that in 2022/2023, there were 152,000 care vacancies in England alone, thus, hindering care homes across the land to recruit permanent staff. Having said this, Viera Gray carried out a recruitment drive recently which was successful. Thus, we have stopped using agency Care Staff since last year itself. In fact, we have recruited four permanent care staff, senior care staff, activities co-ordinator and deputy manager. As you know our two newly refurbished wings are up and running as well and with assistance from my team we will continue to improve the service we provide for our residents. We are committed to providing alternate and varied, person-centred activities. Our new Activities Co-ordinator and my team will follow through on this. As usual, we really value your input; we are here to listen, learn and improve. Thank you, Olivia.
