My dear mum arrived at Lansglade very poorly, all the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to care for Mum.
In the early days of Mum going in, I spoke to a member of the team on a daily basis, they always had time for me. My mum is now well settled and loves everybody there. They're like one
big happy family.

Very good team. Kind and very helpful. My wife is very happy here and so am I.
For my 90th Birthday, I was able to share it with my wife the home decorated the room with Happy Birthday on the wall. I had dinner with her and after that, all the staff came in with a cake and candles, all singing Happy
Birthday.
All the staff have been very kind to me. A very good and happy care home.
Often I have a phone call to see if I am fine and if there anything I need.

I cannot fault the excellent care and consideration given to my aunt. Whenever I call or visit the staff are always friendly, courteous and efficient. I rate all elements I can speak of as excellent. Those I have not rated I merely have not experienced or had cause to use.

My dad has been cared for at Lansgale House since discharge from hospital earlier this year. The staff are very professional and caring and very helpful. I feel they care for us all as a family and the whole team have been very supportive of my dad. Any questions we have are dealt with promptly and
visiting supported despite the current challenges.

My mother-in-law went into Lansglade House as she was unsafe to live on her own. Although she was only in the home for a very short while, my wife and I found the staff very helpful and sympathetic, it was a shame however that we were unable to see her room or the home due to COVID restrictions we could
only go online to see photos etc.

After breaking his hip in February this year my dad (82yrs old) was unable to return home and has needed care after surgery, and has been at Lansglade since March.
Being new to the whole process it was difficult to know what to expect.
We read the online reviews and the CQC rating, all very good.
So we had confidence in the home to look after my dad.
I can only say the care, support and attention my dad has received has exceeded this high standard. The staff at every level do really care about the residents and their wellbeing.
Their dedication and positive attitude is really refreshing and welcomed at a difficult time for all the family.
I’d have no hesitation in recommending the home for any care short or long term.
I’d also be happy to talk to any prospective residents and their families to share our experience. I’m sure this can be arranged via the care home itself.

My parents were extremely well looked after at Lansglade House, my mother for a year and my father for four and a half years. We feel that we were very lucky to light on this home where the staff were kind, patient, efficient and caring. The food was excellent and the observation of my parents and swift
response to their needs was very comforting. The staff made efforts to get to know their residents and to talk to them and involve them in the first-class activities provided such as physical exercise, craft, my father loved these sessions and music. They were also very caring of me, not minding however many visits I wanted to make, always welcoming and always keeping me informed. I felt that Lansglade House was my second home sometimes. They also seemed a tight unit between themselves, there was a good atmosphere of support and friendship amongst the staff and I think that high morale says much for the home and its management. I would recommend Lansglade House wholeheartedly.

Both my parents moved into Lansglade a few years ago when my mother needed full-time care. I have been delighted and relieved to witness the kindness and attention they received, and to see (and be kept informed about) how their needs were met, their comfort assured and their dignity respected. I was
always a welcome visitor, given tea and coffee when I arrived - and lunch too on some occasions!
I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful staff and management; the friendly atmosphere and the cheerful attitudes of all who helped to ensure the residents' welfare.
My father needed a couple of stays in hospital and, however good the treatment he received there, I was always anxious for him to return to Lansglade as soon as possible because of the care and individual attention the staff were able to give him in his home. And when my parents, in turn, passed away the staff were also wonderfully kind, concerned and supportive towards our family too.

My grandfather had been a resident at Lansglade for 8 years. He was of sound mind but limited mobility he also had OCD which Lansglade catered for exceptionally! He loved the food (which was very important to him) and the staff were, in his words, his second family! I cannot put into words how wonderful
these people are! They cared for and loved him like their own family, and throughout this pandemic, it gave us total peace of mind that he was well cared for! They did all they could to help us stay in touch with him and he even learnt to FaceTime with help! When we could see him again he looked very well and although he had missed us he was very content with life in Lansglade! I cannot recommend this home and it’s wonderful staff enough! Thank you all!

My brother and I were very happy with the care provided for our father up until his recent death. He was a resident at Langslade House for just over a year. We were kept informed of any changes to his care or medical needs. The staff appeared happy and cheerful and interacted well with the residents

When I was looking for a residential home for my father-in-law, I felt a huge responsibility at getting the right home for him. I am pleased to say my father-in-law has now been resident at Lansglade House for over 2-years, and I can honestly say he could not be in a better place. The staff/management
are patient, attentive, and I firmly believe they have all the residents best interests at heart. This can also be said of the Langlade cooks and maintenance staff, who is always approachable, friendly and polite. The staff go out their way to make life as comfortable as possible for him, even though with his dementia, he can be challenging at times. Nothing seems to deter the staff from delivering the best care possible. I am always updated/consulted when his care needs, need to be changed, which in these uncertain times and visits more challenging, is really reassuring. Big thanks to you all, you make a fantastic team and you definitely make Lansglade House more like a family home.

My mother moved to Lansglade in September after a fall in July. I was very upset that I couldn’t manage her care at home anymore and was worried that she might not settle in a care home. My mother was initially very unsettled but Lansglade staff always kept me informed of how she was and reassured me
that she would settle in time. Now 6 weeks later my mother is indeed settled, she looks healthy and happy and so well cared for.
The staff are all so kind and caring and I would definitely recommend Lansglade if your loved ones have to move into a care home.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation on how well Lansglade has looked after my mother for several years. All our family members visited her regularly each week before lockdown. We all send letters each week and know the staff read these out to Mum. The manager has facilitated several WhatsApp
calls and my brother was allowed to visit Mum recently and has also so kindly agreed that he can go in on 11 November (her 97th birthday) to visit her again. Whenever we see her on WhatsApp she is looking well and cared for and we are so delighted that she recognises us. Thanks again to the manager and all her caring staff.

Mum moved to Lansglade House in August 2018 and has been very happy there. It may sound like a cliche but it's like one big family. The food is excellent, the care is above and beyond and the staff care for the residents as if they were one of their own in an atmosphere of fun and laughter. They have
lovely parties during the summer and for Christmas, and the atmosphere just makes you want to smile. Mums room was bright and sunny and she had her own bathroom. She spent two lovely years there before she passed away recently. The care given to her, and to me, during her last days was exceptional. It was a lucky day when we chose Lansglade and I can't recommend the home highly enough.

Very happy with the work done, regarding my father.
He is very settled and happy at Lansglade and likes all the staff. The only thing I would like to see more stools so the residents can put their feet up if legs etc are swollen or chair that reclines further back. Overall, however, very pleased with

My mother was dreading going into a care home having seen bad press and TV reports of mistreatment in such facilities. Three months on she is happy and enjoying living in Lansglade House. The staff are amazing and so caring. The food is excellent and the facilities and activities are really good. Nothing
is too much trouble for them. The family are welcomed with friendly smiles and always offered tea and coffee. The atmosphere here is very much a home from home with lots of laughter and encouragement. I would, honestly, recommend this wonderful home to anyone.

My Mother has been a resident for almost two years now and she has been provided with excellent care and attention throughout. If she has had any medical needs, these have been attended to right away. The food and drink provision is very good with meals/food that the residents want and seemingly unlimited
cups of tea for residents and visitors alike. The staff interact with the residents and treat all with respect and dignity.

My widowed father, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's four years ago at age 85, lived at Lansglade House from December 2013 to September 2015. I had Lasting P.O.A. for my father but as I live in Canada I could not visit my father frequently. The visits I made were therefore week long and involved many
hours spent at the Home. During these visits I was impressed by the dedication of the care staff and by the way my father's dignity (and that of other residents) was respected at all times. Food was varied and lovingly prepared with plenty of choices and I noticed that menus were individualised to suit the tastes and needs of residents. There was daily entertainment and activities for residents who wished to join in.
All the staff made me feel welcome and at home and showed concern not only for my father but also for me. In his last weeks my father never left his bed and was cared for by frequent checks and visits by carers to change his position, wash him, give him food etc. They always took time to encourage my father to eat and spoke gently and kindly to him.
The very efficient and friendly manager kept regular contact with me by email and also by phone when necessary. She informed me immediately of changes in health and of doctors' visits. She kept me up to date on activities at the home and listened and responded promptly to all my concerns. I noticed that, except for when she was conducting meetings which demanded privacy, her door was always open.
My father's room was kept impeccably clean and was very comfortably furnished. Although he did not have his own bathroom, this did not seem to present a problem to either him or the care staff. A bed alarm was installed to alert staff whenever my father left his bed (when he still was able) to ensure his safety.
Although the dining room is not really big enough to seat all residents at once, as some residents preferred to remain in their armchairs for meals this seemed to work out fine. Breakfast was served to individual residents as and when they were ready for it and I was told that a few liked to have breakfast served to them in their rooms before they came down for the day. I liked the fact that it was the residents who determined their own routines for getting up and going to bed."This is your father's home", I was told when he first arrived at Lansglade House. I am truly grateful to each and every member of staff that they really lived up to this and provided such a caring environment for my father.
