Cherry Tree House is situated in a beautiful residential road about a quarter of a mile from the centre of Wendover. The home is uniquely placed to offer a warm friendly atmosphere with a lovely lounge and conservatory, opening onto patios and level gardens where residents can enjoy the surroundings.

It is their philosophy to continually improve and to make each resident's stay as comfortable as possible. Cherry Tree House observes and maintains all residents' rights of independence, dignity and privacy within the community of the home.

A professional team works together to maintain the highest standards of care, combined with efficiency and friendliness.

Cherry Tree House accommodates single rooms with some en-suite facilities for residents. As well as residential care the facility also offers convalescence, day and respite care.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and professionalism my mother received during her 4 years at Cherry Trees. The staff were great and the Care Manager went above and beyond the call of duty over the last 5 difficult months whilst my Mother was unwell. Her support was greatly appreciated. Whilst
my Mother was reluctant to go into care, she eventually called it home.

My father has been a resident for some 3 years and during that time our family has appreciated the homely nature of the care provided. As Dad's needs have changed, I've found the staff very willing to discuss and implement, where possible, changes to his care regime.

Very friendly atmosphere in a pleasant, not too large home. Carers try their very best, chef and food produced particularly good. Very good understanding of individual needs and a real willingness to work with relatives to try and create the right, tailored solutions for individuals in care e.g. retaining

Rose May has been a resident at Cherry Tree House since November 2015 and I believe she is happy there. She is 102 so possibly at this advanced age, not many people want to live in a Care Home but she is well looked after with very good care and cleanliness. It has a lovely, homely atmosphere and the
staff are always friendly. The food is excellent and she often says this to me. She doesn't really join in many activities but that has always been her way and it doesn't help that she won't wear her hearing aids so conversation is limited and often involves written notes!! Her room is somewhat small but I doubt this bothers her and she does have access to the garden where she loves to sit in the sun.
She was in a Home in London prior to here and I have had experience of several Care Homes with her sisters and other relatives and I would honestly say that CTH is the best I have come across.

Cherry Tree House has undergone two big changes this year. A change of manager early in the year, which although always unsettling, seems to have had little effect on the day to day care provided. Additional staff training has been put into place. There are now regular (monthly) meetings between relatives,
residents and the manager, a relaxed time when issues, if any, can be discussed freely.
A change of ownership of the home has also taken place. I hope that the new owners keep the philosophy of this lovely home. It is a warm, friendly environment for visitors and residents.
There have also been several staff changes but the team, led by the manager and some very good team leaders, provide care of a good standard and my mother is always treated with dignity and respect. She is now unable to clearly communicate her needs but the staff are, on the whole, sensitive to her needs and are gentle and caring.
The standard of catering is especially high.

Cherry Tree is an excellent care home. Whenever I visit my aunt, there is always a nice warm welcome. The staff are all very friendly. The manager is a very lovely lady who also works with the staff in all aspects of their care. A very nice people person who cares about her residents and staff. After
working in local government and visiting several care homes this one tops the lot.

Excellent in every way. My mother is very happy, contented and feels well looked after. I and the family feel that her safety and contentment are of prime importance and this is well provided at Cherry Tree House. I can not recommend Cherry Tree House too highly it is excellent in every respect.

Since 2008, I have been dedicated to the care sector, driven by a deep passion for delivering person-centred care and empowering care staff on their own development journey. I believe that care is not just a profession but a significant part of your life that requires wholehearted commitment. Liz has worked in the care sector for 25 years and has been with Cherry Tree House for the past 10 years. During her time here, she has been given the opportunity to study and achieve her Level 2 NVQ in Housekeeping and Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration.


Liz is passionate and dedicated to creating the perfect home for our residents, and will always go above and beyond to make sure we do. She loves being the first point of contact for families and making sure their experience with us is positive by being as helpful as possible.


Outside of work, Liz enjoys nothing more than exploring our local countryside with her family.

My journey with Salveo Care began in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. I have a passion for high-quality care, and clinical oversight and I am dedicated to advocating for our residents and their families. Being a part of Salveo Care is incredibly rewarding as we truly care about the residents’ well-being, and we are genuinely committed to supporting and nurturing our staff team. My job, friends and family bring me immense joy in life and I truly value these meaningful connections.

I'm determined to get the best out of my team so we can work together to make a genuine impact on individuals and the care sector as a whole, in particular focusing on the experience of elderly people. In my personal and professional life, I am open-minded and will take every opportunity to learn something new. With a fascination for human behaviour, I enjoy listening to podcasts, watching documentaries and speaking to different people. Aside from this, I love being a mum and finding creative outlets and I am truly happiest when hosting and helping people.
