Welcome to Woodlands Park Care Centre in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. Located just outside the quiet village of Great Missenden, the team provide expert care for people living with dementia in 24-hour residential care. The home is blessed with a long-serving support team that provides high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. They offer long-term, respite and dementia care.

The charming home comprises 27 light and airy bedrooms which are mostly equipped with en-suite facilities. Companion rooms may be available upon request. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films. The day rooms offer serene views across the well-maintained gardens and the Chiltern Hills.

At Woodlands Park, residents are encouraged to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many activities take place within the home environment and include garden parties, barbecues, arts/crafts and quiz nights. The team empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite sports. All are encouraged and available. As well as being encouraged to enjoy the home's magnificent landscaped gardens, residents also enjoy regular days out and seasonal trips further afield.

The professional catering team deliver nutritionally balanced meals that are appealing to residents. Their professional food suppliers deliver high-quality food designed specifically for the healthcare sector.

Woodlands Park provide a professional caring service when you need it most. This extends to all friends and family as well, along with the user. Their compassion, guidance and empathy from all staff members is their greatest asset. Nothing is too much trouble and our friend was very happy and settled
in their care. I thoroughly recommend Woodland Park Care Home and I am very grateful for all their help.

Woodlands is a lovely friendly caring home in beautiful surroundings. The staff interact well with my mum's experience of living with Alzheimer's. She herself is always happy in her surroundings, which are bright, airy and safe for her to wonder. We are very assured that all her needs are met with professional
care.

My wife's father has been a resident for a number of years now. Although he is suffering profoundly with dementia, Woodlands is his home. The staff and fellow residents are his family and he continues to be settled and content amongst this caring family. I therefore, have no reservation in recommending
Woodlands as a caring home for fellow dementia sufferers.

Our mother arrived at Woodlands, having lived in a country setting for all of her life. She, therefore, felt at home in this spacious, sunny house surrounded by fields full of horses. She (accompanied initially by her dog) was made to feel safe; she was free to explore, helped by the different colours
of the main reception rooms; she was entertained as far as her capacity would allow, and as her condition has deteriorated we have been so impressed by the gentle friendliness, good cheer, and care of the staff. This consideration has been extended to us as her family, and during a recent crisis, we were hugely helped by the way that we were consulted and reassured, and by the warmth of the hospitality shown by staff, by night and day.

My father has been at Woodlands now for over 4 years and I have nothing but praise for the staff. The love, care and understanding they show my father is second to none. He is in the latter stages of dementia and can have some very difficult days, but the staff are so accepting and understanding.
However, his behaviour just never seems to phase them. Upon entering the home you are aware of 'the family' atmosphere and, you as a relative, feel part of that family. The home is a splendid old manor house and the grounds are beautifully tendered. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who has to make one of the most difficult decisions ever - placing a much-loved parent into the hands of someone else to look after.

Woodlands park enjoys a beautiful situation for reaching views over open countryside. There is a lovely warm atmosphere, and relatives are always given a lovely welcome by staff. Residents are treated with great kindness, patience and dignity, first names are used and one is given the feeling of a family
friendly environment. There are some exceptional staff there but recent shortages have meant employing some agency staff which is never so satisfactory. The rooms are decorated in a bright an rather quirky way. My partner appears to be very settled there.

The centre is excellent an outstanding home for up to 30 dementia residents. The manager was voted last year one of the top five in the country. Over the last three years residence my wife is both comfortable and contented in the loving care.

I have been working in the Health Care Sector for over 30 years, 11 of these as Centre Manager at Woodlands Park Care Centre. I pride myself on being compassionate, dedicated, having a sense of humour and taking pride in everything I do. I love working at Woodlands Park and appreciate the value we add to the lives of those in our care. I believe the standard of care we provide is great but I am always seeking to add value to our resident’s wellbeing and daily life at Woodlands Park.
