My Father has been a resident in this home for over 5 years now and has always been extremely happy here. As his Parkinson's disease has advanced, the care given has been adapted accordingly. The management and carers are extremely caring and compassionate. My son recently got married and as the event
was about an hour away we were doubtful we could manage to get my father there. Once I'd mentioned this to the manager of the home, it was all organised within a day or so. Transport was arranged and a carer came with my Dad so he could attend and enjoy the occasion of his grandson's wedding.
There are many activities for the residents which my father enjoys. He regards it as his home and is very happy there.

Lovely homely feel and staff and management are very approachable. We found that they were always at hand for any queries and made sure there was always something exciting happening within the home. I would recommend this home to everyone!!

My 96-year-old Mum has been a resident at New Copford Place for nearly 3 Years. She is in a lovely room overlooking a pleasant garden, which is full of wildlife.
The home arranges lots of activities, for those that wish to take part and last weekend we had a BBQ for residents and families. Nothing
is too much trouble for the staff, they are caring and respectful and I never have any qualms about leaving Mum there.

“I have worked in the Care Sector since 2012. After beginning my career in care, I quickly realised that I was making a positive change in the lives of those people I looked after, which is so rewarding and something no other job was – and still is – able to provide.


I have been with Friends of the Elderly for nearly three years, becoming the Care Home Manager at New Copford Place in August 2020. I have a great team and we work closely together to ensure each resident is supported, inspired and receives the highest level of bespoke care which is tailored to their individual needs.


Our wide and varied activities programme is created through listening to our residents’ preferences, likes, hobbies and interests as making a positive difference in all our residents’ lives is at the heart of all we do, every day. All the Team gets involved and I’ve even been known to join in with the singing and dancing sessions.


The best thing about being the Care Home Manager at New Copford Place is seeing our residents smiling, as it makes me feel that I have, in some small way, contributed a little bit to that smile.”
