The Home surrounds a beautiful courtyard and many rooms lead onto this. Inside it is beautifully furnished with comfortable lounges, quiet visiting areas and a delightful sensory/relaxation room. The Home has been purpose built and all rooms have an en-suite. Meals are freshly prepared by the catering team to ensure a nutritious and balanced diet, which does include tempting cakes.

I've not been in the home since March 2020 but staff have always been very empathetic and kind to the residents and work to make them happy and comfortable. The food is good and cooked on the premises and care is taken to ensure all the residents are able to eat and drink.

Mum did not want to be in a home. This has made her very confined to her room. They tried at first to get her to join in but gave up in the end. Before lockdown, as a family, she had visitors almost every day. Due to lockdown, we feel the staff have excelled. She has been very well looked after and
cared for. The dedication has put our minds at rest.

I was in Longanberry Lodge for respite care and I couldn't have wished for a better support service. The staff are helpful and supportive and the overall care is excellent. If I ever need to go to a care home again I will not hesitate to return to Longberry Lodge. Following my discharge, one of the
managers brought to me my personal belongings I forgot in the home when I said that I have no means to get there. I am very impressed and grateful. Keep up with your excellent work.

I would have to say until my mother put in Longanberry Lodge, I had no experience of residential care homes. My mother was rushed in here on Christmas Eve 2019 at 7.30pm as an emergency, but I have today she was very lucky to end up here it is a truly a great residential home. This home is truly a fantastic
place.

My husband has been a resident since September 2018 after suffering a severe stroke. During his time at Loganberry he has always been well looked after and the staff have maintained an excellent standard of personal hygiene for him and the overall cleanliness of Loganberry is second to none. The food
that is on offer is of a very good standard and they will always offer an alternative if the day's menu is not to his taste. All staff always are very polite to both residents and visitors alike and create a happy, joyful environment. Both my husband and myself are very happy with Loganberry. Thank you.

I have been very impressed with the level of care provided to my Father at Loganberry Lodge since he became a resident earlier the year.
The staff are all so dedicated and always happy to talk to myself, my Mother and siblings when we call daily to check on my Father to reassure us while we cannot

Me and my sister would like to say a big 'Thank You' to the staff and carers at Loganberry Lodge for the ongoing care they are giving to our mother in Snowdrop.
She suffers with dementia and is not the easiest of people but the staff have been very good and we have been able to talk with mum over
the phone and even when it was not convenient for one reason or another the staff called back to connect with mum.
We would highly recommend Loganberry Lodge as it's a clean, tidy and bright home and the staff are lovely.
The home seems to have acted quickly in shutting it down early to keep everyone safe from Covid-19 so 'Well Done' to the staff.

My dad has been the resident in Snowdrops for the past 4 years until his death on the 8th May. He received the best care that can offered during his time there. He was well looked after in all his needs even when he was at his most difficult behaviour the carers persevered and he learned to trust them
eventually. During his last few days at the home the carers were marvellous, they set up video calls with the family so we could say our virtual goodbye. It was heart breaking but we had the comfort he was not in pain and the carers kept the family informed every inch of the way. The family can’t thank the home enough for their dedication and hard work. God bless.

My Mother has been a resident at Loganberry Lodge for nearly 5 years. It was a big move for her after losing her husband of 65 years married. Mum began to be unsafe on her own mobility wise. The standard of care is superb as is the modern building and her room. They pay special attention to detail.
She is happy and safe and that is great for the family.

Deciding to put Mum into a home was a very stressful time, but my stresses were soon put at ease as we were made very welcome from the second that we walked into Loganbury Lodge. Mum settled in very quickly helped by the staff; they all got to know her name and her likes and dislikes to help her to
settle in. During the outbreak of Covid-19, they closed the home very quickly helping Mum and other's to stay safe. I can contact her via telephone and video calls, and she can contact me if she wants too; thank you.

Mum has been living at Loganberry Lodge for several years and has been happy and very well looked after during this time. Now on “end of life” care and in lockdown, I am very happy with the care she is being given. The staff have been wonderful showing her videos and messages from all of us, chatting
with her and keeping her comfortable in our absence. As sad as it is not being able to visit her, I know that all the staff are doing their very best for her and all the other residents. They are also keeping us informed of her condition which is very comforting for us. They’re a brilliant bunch and I’m very grateful to them for all they are doing during these very unusual and worrying times.

We looked at several care homes before dad moved into Loganberry Lodge. Straight away Loganberry 'felt right'. Staff stayed in touch during the transition from hospital to the home and were so helpful, it really made a difficult time a little easier. It's been incredibly hard with Covid 19 but I know
dad is being cared for - we can call him and he has called us. We are able to drop things (goodies) off for dad and we know he receives them. Dad has dementia but he is always happy when we talk to him. I can't wait until we are able to visit again, but it is reassuring to know that he is safe and happy while this awful virus is around. I can't thank Loganberry Lodge enough for looking after him.

I have been to see my friend twice since she has been in Loganberry Lodge. I must say both times that I have seen her she has been calm and she seems very happy. The staff take time to talk to her which they never did where she was before. So thank you all for looking after her.

We are a large care home in Colchester with 141 bedrooms, nicely situated over several homely units. We have a café and lounges for residents to relax in with relatives and friends. We deliver quality care to older people, those who live with dementia, and those with more complex needs. My name is Ella Arhip, and I have been with Runwood Homes for over 14 years, spending more than 12 years at Loganberry Lodge. My name is Oana Dunea, and I am the Deputy Manager at Loganberry Lodge.


I have proudly been part of the Loganberry team for over 13 years, during which I’ve experienced a truly rewarding journey. I initially started as a care assistant, working both day and night shifts, before progressing to the role of care team leader. This allowed me to further develop my skills in both care and leadership.


Each day at Loganberry Lodge has brought its unique challenges, but through collaboration and continuous learning, we have always strived as a team to improve and ensure the well-being of our residents. Along this journey, there have been many moments of joy, laughter, and difficult times.


Over the years, I’ve worked with various home and deputy managers, each of whom has provided support and valuable insights. I have also completed numerous specialised training courses, including an NVQ Level 3, which has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.


In July 2023, I stepped into the role of second deputy manager at Loganberry Lodge. This position has brought new responsibilities and challenges but also great achievements, all made possible by our staff's dedication and hard work.


I am incredibly proud of what Loganberry Lodge represents—a true family that includes our staff, residents, and their families. Together, we continue to create a caring and supportive environment where everyone feels valued.

My name is Ann White, and I have worked at Loganberry Lodge for over 15 years. I began my journey as an activity coordinator, where I developed a strong connection with residents through various activities and engagement. I later transitioned into the role of Receptionist, where I am now responsible for answering calls, directing visitors, and providing general support to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk. In addition, I assist the administrative and management teams with a variety of tasks whenever needed.
