All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. The food was good/very good. The accommodation was very clean and tidy. I would have preferred a room with an ensuite shower.

Feel that this is an extremely caring environment. The atmosphere is friendly and staff helpful and patient, particularly as my mother can be difficult with dementia she is suffering from.
I would recommend to all.

Mum has been in this care home for more than 10 years and has been extremely well looked after in our opinion.
We think that activities could be more frequent and perhaps music or old films played as a change from constant TV.
Also, it would be nice if residents could be taken into the garden on warm,
sunny days if staffing levels allow.

We have both Mum and Dad at Madelayne Court and they are both happy, healthy and well cared for.
We have found the administration staff and manager extremely helpful and patient with all our enquiries, and there have been many!!
All the staff on all floors go over and beyond what is expected of them.

My Mother has always received the very best care and attention from all the staff.
She has often told us how happy she was to be at Madelayne Court and even in stressful situations, the staff have always behaved professionally and with compassion - I consider them all to be extensions of our family

Omg what a lovely place, everything so clean. No terrible smells, especially like urine like a few care homes I have been to do smell bad of urine.
I love the thought of the hairdresser being there and they label mum's clothes for a very small fee, £10 for 50 items. The carers are so friendly and
take time to talk to me too which is lovely. Being disabled myself I have to use a scooter and they have to get it into the car.

My sister could not have better care as she was dying. I was grateful she was among friends. I cannot praise or be thankful enough to the staff on the top floor of Madelayne Court. In fact, all staff were very kind and caring.

My mother has dementia and has been here for more than five years.
On the whole, she is cared for well. Initially, she was active but needed entertaining. She has been given good nutrition and has been kept clean.
The staff are very caring and thoughtful. Her medical needs have been monitored thoughtfully
and she has had trips to hospital.

Since my mother has been in Madelayne Court I feel that she has been comfortable. All of her needs are seen to. Anything that has been asked of the staff or managers, they have made sure that it has been done. The home is comfortable, clean and well presented. We could not wish for a better place for
our mum to be in. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

I visit Mum on a regular basis.


Mum is cared for and her needs/requirements are met by all participating staff.


The staff are friendly and always willing to help.


The care home, and Mum's room are kept very clean and presentable at all times.


I often assist Mum with her lunchtime meal and

My stepfather was placed at Madelayne Court after being in the hospital as he kept falling and my mother could no longer help him at home. He was treated very well and although unfortunately, he died within a few months of being there, he was treated with dignity and the care he received was fantastic.
Every carer we met was very caring and respectful and looked after him so very well.

My mum has been a resident for nine months and to see her so settled reaffirms this is the place for her. Residents are treated as individuals, with dignity and respect. Management and staff are always welcoming and happy to answer any queries and address any concerns.
Mum enjoys a range of activities
as well as the company of fellow residents. All her needs are met 24 hours a day, ensuring her safety and wellbeing, something I (along with various carers) found to be extremely challenging in her own home.
Madelayne Court has enhanced the quality of both mum's life and mine.

Having visited my relative at least once a week she has been here since Dec 2016. I have found most of the staff caring and helpful most of the time. I have attended some of the relative meetings held each month and found them useful, general problems are missing laundry/clothes etc the major problem
I had, the carers did try to rectify but when I met with management the problem was dealt with on the day!!
A happy atmosphere is always met with a smile or hello from all workers. The best room is the tea room called "Sweet Memories" for visitors to chat with residents lovely!

We don't think that there is a perfect care home at the moment in England.
Madelayne Court, we think, is as good as it gets. The staff are, on the whole, excellent and very caring.
Unfortunately, as is with care homes, staff turnover is high but the new recruits seem to come in and do their best.
The food is pretty reasonable and the menus are posted weekly, so we can monitor what is being eaten by our relative. When we have had any problems they have been sorted out fairly quickly.

My mother was admitted into Madelayne Court in Chelmsford nearly 19 months ago after suffering from a major stroke. She was also getting dementia.
The affection, love and care that mum was given was absolutely brilliant. Lovely, kind, caring staff. The homes standard for cleanliness is absolutely brilliant.
Come to the end of her life, she was treated with absolute dignity. Mum liked it there. Gret all round.

I would like to commend the staff of Madelayne Court for the standard of care they showed my husband until he sadly passed away at the end of January. The staff were so attentive and went above and beyond their duty of care. They were always welcoming to myself and my family. I would like to say

My mother has been cared for at Madalayne Court for the past eight months, during that time she has had wonderful care and attention. The staff have paid attention to her own particular likes and needs. The whole property is clean, well maintained and always open for visits whenever we wish to see mum.
The staff are fantastic all of them cheerfully acknowledge mum as they pass by. This has made such a possibly difficult time for the family so much easier to bear and we are truly grateful and thank them whole heartedly.

A fun fact about me is that growing up, I used to live in Papua New Guinea, which is just above Australia.

The thing I like most about my job is being a part of the team and making a difference to not only the residents but the families too.
