Maitland House provides short-term respite care and longer term support to up to 24 people, situated a short walk from the Clacton-on-Sea seafront.

The home has comfortable bedrooms with ensuite facilities, spacious lounges and a dining room as well as a hair salon and adapted bathrooms. Outside in the garden, residents can enjoy a seaside-themed courtyard complete with beach huts.

Residents also benefit from freshly prepared meals which can be enjoyed in the dining room or in residents' own bedrooms if they would prefer.

Activities are provided by the Activity Co-Ordinators and are designed to meet residents' preferences and interests, ensuring there is always something to look forward to.

There are many places for residents to visit locally, in an area known for its wonderful land and seascapes, together with a great depth of heritage.

I have found Maitland House a very pleasant home for my mum. The staff there are always happy and willing to help whenever asked.
Mum is getting the care she needs and given her medication at the correct times.
The food is also to a high standard and nothing is too much trouble to prepare if asked.
Overall
very happy knowing Mum is safe and looked after 24 hours a day.

Always a warm welcome on arrival at Maitland House. We often take an elderly relative to visit my father, they both enjoy the tea and biscuits.
Dad is very happy in the home and is assisted to be as independent as possible. As his grip is weak, handles on cutlery have been adapted allowing him to
enjoy his meals in the dining room. Everyone seems happy and content, it's lovely to hear people singing along to the old songs and enjoying the activities on offer.

I came in walking with the aid of a Zimmer frame. I got an assistant and in 3 months could walk without the aid of the frame. Staff did their best to assist me in all ways. The room was always kept tidy and they made various appointments, where staff always attended with me. Can't complain about anything.
Food was very good. Staff were very helpful always.

My sister was transferred from hospital in Cambridge in October 2016 to Maitland House care home Clacton-on-sea. Having lived in Cambridge all her married life, sadly her husband passed away in May this year and she eventually needed hospital treatment. On discharge from hospital decided to enter a
care home in Clacton where she previously lived in her single life to be near relatives. From the time she entered Maitland House, she has been treated with love, respect and dignity as all the residents are. It is a pleasure to visit my sister and with a very caring manager who works together as a team, are very organised and go out of their way to please all residents. My sister could not be in a better care home which I believe is one of the very best in Clacton.

A friendly and accommodating care home. We visited several when mum has to enter care, and Maitland House stood out by miles! Staff are all very cheery and most have been there for a long time. Mum is well looked after and is very happy in this environment.

I am very happy here. The staff are amiable and easy to get on with. The manager is good. What more can I say, excellent a lovely home. Plenty of entertainment, singers etc, quizzes and outings.

A very caring residential home. Mum relaxed and happy. Residents all seems well cared for. Lovely, cheerful staff who always do their very best for their clients. Clean environment, good food (and wine with dinner everyday which mum loves!) and seemingly good general care. A good place to be.
