Millard House is a friendly and caring family run home for older people in Bocking, Braintree. They are proud to be a Gold Standards Accredited Purpose Built Care Home with a CQC 'Good' Rating (July 2018).

Millard House is beautifully refurbished, has CCTV for peace of mind & is set within charming garden areas which includes a new area for children.

The home's friendly team of fully trained staff strive to ensure residents' rights, choices and care needs are met with dignity and respect and to the highest possible standard. Chefs offer a choice of fresh homemade meals, desserts and cakes for all dietary needs.

Millard House's activity coordinator maintains a varied activity programme to ensure everyone is kept socially and mentally active throughout the day, the home also enjoys visits from entertainers and shows on a regular basis.

The home offers day care services with a full range of activities and have close links with community organisations and school groups and works closely with GP's, district nurses and other professionals to ensure the wellbeing of residents.

Residents can enjoy the home's large gardens which are wheelchair accessible and user friendly with a courtyard area containing raised flower beds.

Since our mum has been in Millard House, they have cared for her so beautifully. They know her needs and ensure that she is as independent as she can be. They are gentle, kind and professional in their work. We are so pleased that she has settled in Millard House. She says she is spoilt. Thank you to
every member of staff who helps her feel safe and at home. She loves the time on activities as well. The staff monitor Mum, check she has all she needs. We are really happy with her care.

Mum has been at Millard House for just over a month. It has been very trying, Mum has found it hard to adjust but all the staff have been amazing, caring, compassionate and have kept me informed every step of the way. She is now becoming more settled and seems so much happier. I can't praise these lovely
people more.

As a current volunteer at this care home - it has been such an amazing experience; the staff have been very accommodating and always trying to start a nice conversation with me.

My life has changed since my mum has become a permanent resident at the end of this February. I get to spend quality time with her and enjoy every moment with her when I visit her or take her out for lunch. The staff are amazing they all go the extra mile for everything I ask them to do, it is never
a problem. Mum is happy and occupied as they can give her the undivided attention that she needs. Thank you.

My auntie has been at Millard House for just over three years. She was 96 in February and I can honestly say she has come on leaps and bounds. I cannot praise the staff enough, it is like a family and my auntie has never been happier. The food, facilities and activities are excellent. It was a big decision
taking her out of her own home but her quality of life is much better now. She is safe and being looked after by such caring staff who I cannot thank enough.

My mum has been here roughly two years now and is very happy. After having issues with her medication the staff have been wonderful. This is one of the most friendly and happy places I have been in and would recommend to anyone with a parent that needs care.

Staff very supportive of both my mother and the family. I feel Mum is safe and well cared for. She enjoys the company and the activities. I see her doing different things each time I visit. She enjoys the church service.

Always a pleasure to call into the home. The staff are always polite and helpful, any problems have been quickly sorted. My father has settled in well and is well looked after and loved by all of the staff.

My dad has been with you for seven weeks and can already see that he has settled in nicely and is enjoying life there. He tells me he likes all the staff and the food. He has a nice view from his window and his own TV. He likes his door being open during the day and enjoys his interaction with his many
