Park View has a wonderful friendly atmosphere, and paved courtyards allow the space for outdoor activities as well and all these activities are designed to stimulate, amuse and entertain all of those cared for.

The Home is spacious with beautiful lounges, dining areas and a conservatory, again another peaceful area for either gentle activities or to sit and read or complete a crossword.

Wonderful. My Mum is thriving. So well looked after in every way. I couldn't wish for a better care home. Activities are fabulous. When I share the trips / visits with friends they all comment on how well Mum looks, how's she's enjoying herself and how their parents / relatives in other care homes never
have the option of activities that residents have at Park View.
Alzheimer's is a dreadful disease and no cure has yet to be found. With the care and knowledge of the disease at Park View, I am confident that Mum is in the best place for this stage of her life.

From the moment I walked into park view I was amazed with the professionalism of all staff especially manager.
The whole home is run and managed very well and the staff are very caring and go above and beyond for my friend. I am very grateful for my friend and I have already recommended this care home
to other friends who are looking for residential care.
The staff are always doing things to keep the residents busy and always are happy!

I have just moved my father out of Park View after a disappointing respite stay. Issues included:
- He was discharged from the hospital without any medication, and despite the care home having a list of his pre-hospital medications, they failed to arrange any in the nearly four weeks he was there.
-
As someone with POA, I requested a copy of his care plan. I was told it may be delayed as it needed to be "redacted by head office." Nearly two weeks later, I still haven't received it, nor am I clear about why/what needed redacting - despite this being crucial for making informed decisions about his care.
- My father asked often to go outside, only to be told they were "too busy". While I understand care homes can be stretched, it was frustrating to see staff sitting on their phones during visits, rather than engaging with residents.
- His house keys were left in another resident's room, and almost all of his clothes were lost.
I hope this feedback encourages some improvements.

Very active care home that genuinely care. There is always something different going on and every effort is made to engage as many residents as possible. All the staff including the carers, cleaners, laundry lady and management take a real interest in each resident.

The staff look after my mother-in-law very well. She has now been in Park View for over three years and we are very happy as to how she is looked after. Communication with all staff members is excellent. The home is always welcoming and spotlessly clean. Weekly activities take place and you can see
from the photos how much the residents enjoy them. My wife and I live a long way from Essex, so it is satisfying and rewarding to know that she is being looked after in very safe hands.
We cannot recommend Park View more highly.

The staff at Park View do a very difficult job very well. My brother tells me he is content, settled and comfortable; he appears clean, well dressed and reasonably well-groomed when I visit. He is encouraged to look after himself as much as possible. As I live 250 miles away, clear communication between
the staff and me is essential. The situation has improved of late and I understand the new management has bold plans to improve the dialogue even further. My brother is treated with respect and dignity and significantly as an individual. He is in the right place. Thank you.

Since the recent change of management, there has been a noticeable change in staff attitude, and as the recently resurrected social media shows the activities enjoyed by the residents are enjoyed by all. Puts a smile on my face! Definitely a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Dad has found it more enjoyable.

Park View took a lot of stress out of the difficult time. They were patient and looked after Mum well. They were friendly and communicative. Mum built a good rapport with the care team and was happy in her time here. They also helped me understand the system and ensure we knew what was happening. The
only thing, the afternoon music in the lounge, wartime tunes, Mum is rock and roll and folk so it didn't interest her at all.

After a 4-week stay in hospital following a fall at home, my wife was transferred here where she was well looked after by the kind and caring staff who attended to her every need. Although bedridden, she had her own room with en-suite facilities. Unfortunately, she passed away in the middle of the night
on 9th December 2023 and the care home staff made all the necessary arrangements. This is an excellent care home and is well recommended for the caring staff and all facilities.

We were very hesitant about Mum becoming a resident here (like everyone I am sure).
She took a while to settle in but, after a while, she settled, and is happy and cheerful. She broke her hip and was in hospital for about a week, but Park View have been marvellous with her.

I’ve been a part of the Runwood Homes family for over five years, starting my journey as a carer and then care team leader in one of our homes, then progressing to Deputy Manager at another, and now proudly stepping into the role of Home Manager at Parkview since June 2024.


My experience across multiple homes and roles has given me a broad and in-depth perspective on quality care and the importance of a compassionate, individualised approach. I am dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment where each resident feels valued and supported. Working closely with our talented team, I strive to ensure that every resident enjoys the highest possible quality of life here at Parkview.
