Tucked away, in a secluded forest surrounding, Wensley House is located just a stone’s throw from the charming town centre of Epping.

All en-suite (some also with wet rooms) personalised rooms, a modern nurse call system, an advanced addressable fire alarm (pinpoints by exact location), and a gated development to allow for walks and an outdoor lifestyle and dining are just some of the things that make this a welcome home.

Be it the Oak Room, with warm oak walls where you can receive entertainers, enjoy movies, religious services, or the Garden Room, with end-to-end patio doors bringing the summer indoors, the airy conservatory to share with new resident budgies, or the dining room for all day refreshments and a choice of meals freshly prepared by a chef on the premises (top five star food hygiene rating) there is always a place to relax.

Friendly and warm staff really care about what they do and take pride in supporting you as you maintain both dignity and independence and regularly form close bonds with the residents and families. As a small, family run business, the directors are also here on a daily basis to support the staff and residents in the provision of excellent care. Staff receive all required checks and commence under review status for several months shadowing experts supported with advanced training with industry experts before becoming part of the team.

Mum settled into life at Wensley House very quickly and has been very happy here. It has been such a relief to know that mum is so happy and well cared for. all the staff have been very kind and friendly. It is always a pleasure to visit mum at Wensley House. We get to laugh and smile a lot.

I have visited this care home to visit one of the residents for over seven years. I cannot fault this care home in any way. The resident that I visit has never said anything detrimental about this care home. She has always praised the way they treat her.

This is a wonderful care home. My family and I are very satisfied with our 92-year-old mum staying at Wensley House. The staff are so good with Mum and very patient, especially as there is a language barrier which makes understanding needs and communication sometimes challenging. The staff treat Mum
with kindness, respect and dignity. The manager speaks a little Spanish and tries whenever she can to speak to Mum in Spanish. I couldn't wish for more! The manager and the owner are always available to answer any questions and provide regular updates.

From the moment I walked into Wensley House to look at it for my dad, nothing has been too much trouble. All the staff have been amazing - so kind, caring and thoughtful. When Dad was in the hospital, the owner and manager kept in touch with us, asking on a daily basis how Dad was doing. Dad is being
so well looked after by all the staff. My sister and I visit every day and the care the staff show to all the residents are exceptional.

From the first contact with the care home management, I was so happy to see the positive attitude they showed towards my mother. They were informative about the services offered by the home and helpful in providing advice and guidance on transporting my mother into their care. At all times they respected
her dignity and cared for her as an individual. They persuaded her to join the other residents in the lounge; the first time I had seen her in trousers and a cardigan for a long time. On the day of my mum's passing, the staff showed such great care not just to Mum but also to my siblings and me, who had gathered for her last hours. They were so dedicated to providing a quality service that even though they were past the end of their shift, two key staff stayed on until my mum had passed on and all the arrangements for the GP attendants and collection by funeral directors were organised. Their thoughtfulness and commitment to providing a complete service to the family were outstanding.

The level of care at this care home is of an extremely high standard. I have found the cleanliness, thoughtfulness and compassion of all staff members is impeccable. Since my mother became a resident here I have been very pleased to see that she is cared for in a way I could never have imagined. The
food standard is above average. Management is of the highest standard, nothing is too much trouble.

I find all the staff and management at Wensley House polite and professional. My mother, who has dementia, tells me on my visits; they take care of her very well. It is reassuring for me and other family members to know that she is in a safe, clean and caring environment. The manager and the managing
director are always available to answer any questions or queries I may have and provide updates on my mother.

My mum has dementia. Mum's room is lovely with her own bathroom. Kept very clean. It is value for money compared to other care homes. Mum seems happy.

This is my first experience of a Care Home. Mum has been at Wensley House for a year and a half. During this time my telephone conversations and visits have left me impressed with the staff and the duties they perform as part of their job. Communication is excellent. All staff are helpful, professional
and friendly and nothing appears to be too much trouble. A caring culture runs throughout the home. When I realised that Mum could no longer stay in her own home I reluctantly agreed that a care home was the only option. Not only has the move to Wensley House transformed my life but has given me peace of mind knowing that Mum is being properly cared for and she is happy. Covid restrictions have now been relaxed significantly; I am now able to visit regularly and have more of an insight from inside the Home. I cannot fault anything. I often compliment the staff and marvel at how they can maintain their enthusiasm. The answer is always the same, "We love our residents."

I have nothing but praise for the care given to Mum. They have gone above and beyond any expectations I might have considered.
We had home care visits for Mum for a number of months previous to placing her in the care of Wensley House gave her better and more comprehensive care in the six months.

My granma since being here looks happy and healthy. She has even put on weight which she needed. When a family member calls here about my granma, they are always helpful, the staff. The place is lovely, we walk and talk in the garden she likes it a lot. Good care and support given!

This home is absolutely wonderful. The home owner/director is there every day, and together with the manager, run Wensley House with kindness and professionalism. His staff are caring and thoughtful. My mother is being very well looked after. There is a caring, calming feeling when you walk through

The care that my mother received was exceptional. I cannot rate this care home highly enough. The staff were so good with mum and very patient. The manager was extremely kind and always kept me up to date with how mum was. I would also like to praise the owner who was really sympathetic and very helpful.
I only wish mum had enjoyed more time there.

I visited Wensley House in Jan 2020 and met with the manager and staff. I also had an opportunity to inspect the property.
The staff at Wensley House are fantastic, especially as I live in Australia, they maintain excellent communications and keep me up to date on any situation with regular updates.
The
nursing home is very clean, the staff are excellent, very friendly with residents and very accommodating to their needs.
The activities are restricted to the nursing home but everyone seemed happy to join in and participate. I know Wensley House has looked at many different ways to keep the residents entertained.
The management are extremely friendly and have helped me immensely with our difficult situation of distance.
My mother is happy, in good health, well feed, well looked after in a clean and safe environment. Wensley House is well maintained, warm in winter and has flourishing gardens for residents in the summer.
I am very reassured that Mum is in an excellent location.
