Wonderful staff. I can't speak highly enough of how kind and genuinely caring they are. My mum is 96 years old and has been given a new lease of life thanks to them. The rooms are great, as are the facilities. The gardens are amazing, food is great, but overall, I can't believe the levels of kindness
and can't believe how lucky we were to have found this home. I looked at others in the area, and nothing came close - a very happy son.

My grandmother has settled in so well. She is the most active she has ever been. There is lots going on, and she has formed many friendships. The staff are always welcoming and show great kindness.

My father has been looked after by St Edith's for about a year. When he moved in, the team carefully assessed how he could continue to carry on with activities outside the home that he enjoyed. During his time in the home, his health has deteriorated, and the staff have been conscientious and concerned
to make sure that he is getting the right treatment. We live some way away from the care home and the staff at the home are excellent at keeping us aware of any concerns. My father often says that he is happy at the home and very well looked after, and he has made the transition from living independently to being cared for happily. We are grateful to the staff at the home for the care and affection they show him.

My father has been living at St Edith's court for 18 months. I have to say it is the happiest I’ve seen him since my mother died in 1991. For someone who is a quiet non sociable man, he has been bought out of his shell. He is engaging in daily activities at the home and taking part in activities he
would never have taken part in. He has a very healthy interactive relationship with all staff in the home. He feels safe and cared for and I feel I can approach the home and be reassured of any worries. Communication between staff and relatives is 100%.

The staff at St Edith’s are warm, friendly and cheerful. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they really know and care for their residents. The rooms, corridors and shared spaces are light, bright and kept very clean.

Any member of staff will know how Mum is doing that day. Staff very caring and empathetic. Facilities and cleanliness very good. They always take time out for you even if busy. Food and nutrition are excellent.

We had a very short time to arrange care for my father on release from hospital. We have a bit of knowledge of care homes from when my mother needed the services. We have seen quite a few. First impression of the home was that this is the one, a feeling that is still there a month later. They went above
and beyond when trying to accommodate my father. The staff are very nice and obviously good at their job. My father is treated with respect and the communication between my sister and I with the staff is excellent. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for care of a relative. My daughter summed it up nicely when she said; I wonder if I can book a two week holiday here.

This is a well-run, friendly care home. It benefits from being a modern build, with lots of natural light, wide corridors and a standard (ample) room size. Each room ("flat") contains an en-suite with a walk-in shower and a mini kitchen. The staff always have time to stop and chat with residents while
they go about their duties. Staff give residents respect and encourage them to talk about their life stories, with input from relatives when necessary. My uncle has certainly been helped to settle in by this kindly and sympathetic approach. I did not witness any activities, but lots are listed on the weekly programme. Judging by the quality of the lunch, which I was invited to join in, the food is excellent. Staff are on hand to assist with feeding as required; they also gather feedback on the meal from the residents to take back to the catering team. The staff at St Edith's cares about their residents, and it is one of the best dementia-friendly care home I have come across.

Mum has now been in St Edith's for three years and has found it difficult to adjust to being widowed suddenly and unable to live alone, but at last, calls it "home" and feels safe and very well cared for. St Edith's have kept Mum safe during the dreadful experience of Covid, and at times, this was very
difficult as unable to see, hug and spend time with Mum, but the staff went the extra mile, and Mum remained very positive and always said they were doing their very best, and we had to trust this. We, as a family, are so pleased we chose St Edith's to care for our mum, as it is always very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and we know they care and show her love. Given our experience, we would recommend St Edith's as the place for a loved one to be cared for.

This care home portrays itself as providing 'residential care for older people with increasing physical frailty needing practical and personal care'. We dispute this. When my 90-year-old mother fractured her right arm by walking into the garden from the dining room unnoticed, she was confined to her
room.
I and my sister made daily calls to the home to stress our concerns at her confused and dishevelled state. Despite our concerns she was allowed to become seriously dehydrated and deconditioned, she was admitted to hospital due to a chest infection and toxicity from her medication. The care home then stated they could no longer meet her needs, disregarding the fact that Bi-Polar is a variable condition that adjusts and improves given time and that due to the dehydration, she had been taken off her medication temporarily. Her clothing was completely stained with tea, she had not been given a two-handled sippy cup and we had not been asked to provide one. It was evident she had struggled.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff at St Edith's for the care they are providing Mum now and since she arrived at St Edith's in January 2018. Not being able to visit Mum at the moment is difficult but when my sisters and I speak to her on video calls we can see she is happy and well.
She has plenty of activities to keep her busy and she is among friends, both staff and residents. The home's manager is providing relatives with regular updates on the current situation, weekly activities and any other news, which is very reassuring. Thank you again and take care.

Our mum moved into St Edith’s two years ago. We looked at a good number of care homes before we chose St Edith’s. We like the way the home is arranged, whereby each resident has their own little flat enabling them to retain an element of independence, at the same time as being a member of the community.
The communal areas are beautifully decorated with a relaxing atmosphere. The meals are good and are served in a pleasant dining room.
Our mum has a lovely sunny room which overlooks the garden. Sadly she does now suffer with dementia and a lack of mobility. All the carers take very good care of our mum with great kindness and humour and she has developed a special bond with a number of them. There is a good programme of daily activities and all residents are encouraged to join in.
In the current time of Covid-19, we have been able to have regular family video calls, which has helped us all greatly. This has been organised by one of the carers and we are so grateful.

My dear Mum has been a resident since 2013. My Dad passed away in 2012 and after a few months, it seemed that Mum had “given up” not wanting to go on without him. She quickly became dependant on me to look after her but eventually, I had to admit that I couldn’t manage to care for her on my own, so
the decision was made that she would be better cared for in a home. I felt guilty and sad that I couldn’t cope and to be honest felt that Mum would fade away within a year or so but that was far from the case. The staff at St Edith's are absolutely amazing. They treat Mum like family in fact, she looks upon some of them as just that. She is well looked after, with staff showing much kindness and patience. The food is very good. There are lovely gardens to sit in during the summer months. My fears for her have proved to be unfounded and she is now in her 94th year and still very well which is testament to the care she receives.
Couldn’t really ask for anything more.
