Really happy with the care provided to my father. He's been at this home, Kimberley Grace, for nearly two years. The staff are really friendly and helpful and I highly recommend this care home.

The carers who met me at the door - for nearly 6 years now have been very friendly and polite - I feel welcome. The decor has become most cheerful and colourful recently.
My friend is content and looked after carefully. She has even been able to express her creative interests in painting there last
month.
I even get a coffee/tea and biscuit to share with my friend - like we would have done when she was able to provide them.

My mother is currently residing at Kimberley Grace Care Home. The staff have not only provided a high standard of care for my mother, but they have also been a great support to myself, as I have no knowledge of how a care home runs and what happens on a daily basis. They explained everything to me,
send me photos of Mum doing various activities/going on days out with the activity coordinators/eating lovely home-cooked meals.
They will update me with any NHS appointments that Mum needs to attend and make me feel that I am still a big part of Mum's life. When I visit the home all the staff take time to ask me how I am feeling about Mum being in a care home and will chat to me generally and remember things we have talked about previously.
I take my hat off to all the staff, as I can see it is a challenging job role and they are all doing amazing.
Thank you to all the staff there for making Mum part of their family unit!

I just wanted to reach out and say a huge thank you to everyone at Kimberley Grace Care Home, and appreciate all that effort along with the level of care given to my grandad at the care Home in recent months. The manager and the team have been and are amazing, friendly and so kind towards everyone,
always accommodating me on each and every time I have been to see Grandad, My grandad, who has dementia, was living alone and was struggling with not seeing many people or getting out to socialise. Since he has been at Kimberley Grace, the change in my grandad is tenfold! He is so happy, he loves the food, he enjoys the activities and blessed with the care he receives. I cannot thank the entire team enough, thank you all so much, you all truly are the heroes of our society! Thank you.

My late sister had been a resident at Kimberley Grace for the last 16 months.
I cannot praise the staff enough for all their kind care and efforts during this time. All of the staff have been incredible throughout all this time, not only towards my sister but to every single resident.
From the bottom
of my heart, I sincerely thank you all, my sister was always happy there and loved the banter and activities, even during her last weeks and times were tough, you all managed to get a wisecrack out of her.
I will miss coming in and having a cuppa, may God bless you all.
Thank you.

I have spent the past month visiting my Mum on a daily basis in Kimberely Grace Care Home. I live overseas and this has been impossible for me to do until now due to lockdown and restrictions in my own country. I was already aware of the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff through emails and Whatsapp
however to meet these amazing individuals who do their utmost to care for and support my Mum was very special. Dealing with the ongoing struggles of short-staffing and challenging behaviours is not apparent when the staff provide their daily care for Mum. I was able to meet with the Nurse Manager and discuss my health and other personal concerns for Mum and these were received and taken on board immediately. I am fully satisfied that Kimberely Grace is the right option for Mum and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good quality care and support in a safe, friendly, and professional-based environment.

To start - I would recommend this care home to anyone who may ask.
My nan has been in this care home for over 2 years having lived at home. Over these 2 years I have regularly visited her and each time I have been entirely satisfied with what I have seen. I may not have seen all the areas of the care
home as I have only been inside the visiting room and the corridors but all seems as you’d expect. My nan speaks highly of the staff and the service that they provide. To have consistent members of staff as opposed to plenty of agency staff is a very notable positive aspect too. It is clear from my interactions with the staff that they really do care about their residents.
My nan has often talks about food and what she eats and it sounds just as you would hope it to be - balanced.
Overall, I am entirely happy with this care home and genuinely don’t have any concerns.

This care home provided great care and hospitality for my grandad. There’s never been any issues regarding treatment from the staff. They’ve always handled any situation well when caring for my grandad. Not only that but the home is clean and well organised and provides a welcome environment to any
visitors, nurses and new residents.

Mum has been a resident since February/March 2022. She has settled in very well indeed. The staff treat Mum with respect and we can tell they are very good professionals. Always seems happy when we see her which is testament to the quality of the home.

A very well kept home, always clean and tidy, my cousin isn't the easiest person to deal with but staff take it all in their stride and he is well cared for. They look after his needs and nothing is ever too much trouble. We are always greeted with a smile at the front door.

Every time I have visited my friend the staff have always been warm and welcoming and make time to chat about my friend. They seem to be very caring and offer my friend as much help as she needs, which is quite a lot but they do it with a smile and kind words

My grandmother came to this lovely care home so she can recover from a fall that she had. The care package took a lot longer than expected to get in place for her to go home, however, we were pleased that she was staying at Kimberley Grace Care Home for a little longer as her confidence was at a low.
When the time came for her to leave and go back home, my grandmother was quite sad as she absolutely loved the staff. As my grandmother got her confidence back, she then went to visit the staff and had a cup of tea and a chat, this made her happy for days on end. We as a family cannot thank the manager and staff for all that they do, we would highly recommend this care home for anybody, once again thank you Kimberley Grace Care Home.

I cannot praise the staff enough they were always friendly and kind. My elderly friend always said they were kind to him and I witnessed this myself on many occasions. The home was clean and well decorated. The manager is also very friendly and approachable and all staff have a warm and welcoming
nature when I have visited.

My friend's elderly mother had a few falls at home and was taken into this care home at short notice due to another imminent lockdown and her only daughter had to rush home to NZ as the borders were closing. I had looked at the currently shown CQC report and was alarmed to be honest at where she was
being placed. I couldn't have been more wrong. The current manager and all the staff have looked after my friend's mum as if she was part of their family. There have been welcome improvements to the old building recently. Whenever I have phoned or visited or emailed (under difficult covid restrictions at times) the staff have been nothing but professional and friendly. I have always been made welcome and the lady concerned is well cared for and as happy as she can be other than in her own home. I look forward to a re-inspection by CQC that will reflect the true quality care given by Kimberley Grace and its staff to their residents.

My father became a resident from October 2020, the staff and management have always been very kind of professional. I can't imagine how difficult this last year has been for any care home coping with COVID, but I would give Kimberley Grace 10 out of 10.

A caring and pro-active care home manager and her staff who I consider to have provided an excellent and professional service in looking after the physical and mental well-being of my aunt since she was entered into the home four months ago. Based on my contact with the home over this time, I would
not hesitate to recommend Kimberley Grace Care Home to friends and family, if they needed similar care or treatment.

The staff at Kimberley Grace have been 100% angels on this earth, and I can not express my gratitude enough.
During this especially difficult time they have exceeded their expected roles. Both parents were taken to the care home after an emergency visit to the hospital, the staff have treated them
with dignity and respect (as if they were their own family).
The staff have supported me and advised me on what I needed to get in place to ultimately help both parents.
Final thought, when I am of that age and need some help, I hope I can go to Kimberley Grace with the same staff, I would be very happy. I shall miss them in the meantime though.

My mum has Alzheimer's and was living in her own home she was steadily getting worse and would wander outside in the early hours in her nightdress with no shoes. It was decided that full-time care was needed to keep her safe. My brother and I were extremely worried about how Mum would be going somewhere
new with lots of other people, this was at the start of the first lockdown and we had to leave Mum at the door to protect all the residents. Our conversations with the home were via telephone, the manager put our minds at rest. We have now been having visits by telephoning the home and booking an app and was all done in a safe manner. We are assured that our Mum looks healthy and looked after and seems very happy there. Either my brother or I phone the home every day and chat with Mum and the staff. We are so glad Mum went to this home. the manager and her team are great and we know that they look after her as if she was their own family member. We would highly recommend this home.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.403)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.403) out of 10 for Kimberley Grace Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.803 for Kimberley Grace Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (57 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 71 Ratings = 4.803

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kimberley Grace Care Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 17 registered maximum number of service users is 3.4, which has been reached with 6 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
