Belmont Castle Care Home is set in three acres of beautiful gardens, with panoramic views across the Solent and the Downs, it is very well established as it opened as a residential care home in April 1986.

Offering 40 spacious en-suite rooms, a wide range of facilities and 24-hour expert care. Set in an ideal location with landscaped gardens incorporating a bird aviary, which has been designed to give birds room to fly and interact. The aviary is always changing and draws much interest from the residents of the home.

My mother moved into Belmont Castle in June 2018 after a long unsettled period of being in the hospital and after a previous care home failed to offer a safe environment for a dementia patient. After moving into Belmont Castle my mum's whole world changed.
The home welcomed my mum with open arms and
listened to all our guidance on the care she required. The home offers not only a safe environment where residents are constantly supervised and monitored but offers a friendly home where everyone is considered part of the family. The food is amazing with a wide variety of choice and cakes are out of this world. The lay out and set of the home offers everything from quiet areas to large communal lounge where daily activities take place. Staff are all trained on caring for dementia patients and treat residents as individuals, with respect and care tailored for the individual's needs. For the first time in a very long time, I have peace of mind knowing that my mum is receiving the best possible care.

We look around a few homes for my Mum who has vascular dementia and to be honest, wasn't that impressed. Then we looked at Belmont Castle one cold wet Saturday afternoon in December, knocked on the door to find out information/sort out a time to look around etc. No need to book - within a few minutes
we were inside. You know as soon as you walk in you have made the right choice residents happy/clean/lovely food and lovely staff. In the 18 months, mum was there the care she received was always 100 per cent. It wasn't always easy but Belmont carers sorted it. Overall I was glad and knew we had picked the right care home in Belmont I can't Thank them enough nothing was to much trouble. Even when mum was given a few days left, the care she was given was brilliant and even after mum had passed away they were there if you needed them.
If you want the best then, in my opinion, you won't find better than Belmont Castle Care home. Thank you all xxxx.

I can’t fault the staff or the care my mother receives at Belmont Castle Care Home. It has a very friendly, homely and welcoming atmosphere, whilst providing a high level of care, empathy and understanding of each resident’s individual needs. Visitors are welcomed by the staff who are always very willing
and knowledgeable when answering questions and queries. There are plenty of activities and several lounges to suit varying needs and abilities. The food is all freshly cooked on the premises and is of an excellent standard. In my opinion, Belmont Castle offers really good value for money if you want a care home that provides excellent care in a homely comfortable setting.

Belmont Castle have very knowledgeable Manager and staff.
This home is excellent in every way.
They always have time for all, nothing is too much trouble.
The kindness and level of care to residents is overwhelming
Extremely happy atmosphere.
Food excellent, anyone can have anything at any time.
They
have a big garden area with places to sit under the trees, a pond and some birds.
There is always something to join in with and eat or drink. Everyone is welcome to join in with lunch and drinks even if you’re just visiting you are always made welcome.
Residents have a good supply of drinks and food throughout the day as well as a help yourself soft drinks cabinet and snacks.
The carers clearly love their job, it is very refreshing to see them enjoy their work.
There's a great exercise and activities program, they get everyone joining in and keeping active.
I am very happy with Belmont Castle care home for Mum. They have a great level of care and are kind, professional, it is a safe and happy environment.

Every one of Mum's family are so very happy because Mum's life has improved big time since moving to Belmont.
She's walking and feeding herself, which she could not do before. Mum loves all the carers and made so many friends.
The food is fantastic, she has many inbetween snacks and drinks whenever
she likes.
It's pretty clean.
They go outside for parties and inside. It really is a new life, a new beginning for her.
Kindness and an excellent atmosphere of happiness.
Mum is loving it.

This home is excellent my Mum has progressed and is happily settled.
Exceptional level of care, friendly happy staff willing to help at any time and always wear a smile and really do enjoy their work.
No agency are employed, all staff are dementia trained even the chef and maintenance man who always
finds time to have a chat and laugh with the residents!
The well organised, self-motivated staff work as a team. They're all knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful, caring, professional, warm, attentive, friendly and kind.
Residents get up when they want, and although they have set meal times it is not regimented, so can eat what they want when they want and it’s all homemade.
The Manager has many years expertise and is very knowledgeable with Dementia and Alzheimer's, she offers free training in all aspects to help all concerned, truly amazing!
Great activities are always going on to keep residents and visitors entertained.
They even look after the relatives who are also greeted with a smile tea and cake!

I have only been to Belmont Castle 2 times since my mother-in-law has been living there. But I have heard the most wonderful things from my sisters-in-law about the progress their mother has made. We live on the IoW, and it is much harder for me to get there as I don't drive and have MS. When I was
there I was VERY impressed with the attention my mother-in-law was getting, the condition of the premises and the feeling of Home. When I hear that she is starting to walk again (with the aid of a walker) and that she is mingling with the others living there, it makes my heart happy! She is the sweetest lady I know and I am sure that her daughters and son have made the right decision for the welfare of their mothers best years of her life. XX

Belmont Castle is impressive with the feeling of the countryside and the beautiful windows let an amazing amount of light into the building.
The Manager is an incredibly dedicated lady who has 30+yrs knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia.
Her love, compassion and care for everyone living there and
their families are unbeatable with outstanding professionalism.
All staff/carers are educated to a high standard inc. Alzheimer’s/dementia.
The atmosphere inside radiates fun and happiness, rooms to suit every mood.
The decor/music throughout is adorable.
Food is home cooked with a wide variety, flexible meal times and families welcome.
Fruit bowls, crisps, drinks ice lollies, all on hand, anytime.
My Nan went into Belmont unable to walk, feed herself and hardly talk. She can now do all these things again, on her own!
Full credit to all the staff who worked wonders, giving my nan a new lease of life in a home she is very happy in, with lots of new friends too.

Belmont Castle Manager is very knowledgeable in Dementia/Alzheimer’s with over 30 years’ experience, she is passionate and deeply cares for the residents, which radiates from her. We will always be grateful to her, we have all learnt so very much from her and the carers.
We're extremely happy with
this home, the level of care, knowledge and commitment that shines with a friendly, caring environment, very well thought out making each and every resident/guest feel very comfortable, safe and at home.
This home is excellent and beyond our expectations.
The carers are attentive, professional, warm, friendly and kind.
Stimulating activities programme, great companionship and innovative ideas to help residents feel they can join in are brilliant.
Great food with relaxed eating times, great if wanting something early or late, nothing is too much trouble.
We can't believe Mum's progress in walking/eating and every aspect since she has been at the Castle, we're grateful for all your efforts, you are all stars.

My dad went into a respite for a little while and he wanted to stay! He loves it here and we have found all the staff and management to be so supportive, friendly, helpful, caring involving dad in all aspects of his needs he is very settled and loves the company and food he gets.
His family have peace
of mind knowing his daily needs are being looked after by lovely people.

Well run, lovely staff do their best under difficult circumstances sometimes. Meals are very good. Changes every day and home cooked. Allow visits from my dog Lucy who comes twice a week and enjoys sitting in the garden. Outings at times and visits from local schools and church.

My partner is only in the Belmont for a short time because I have had major surgery and I am unable to care for him at the moment. He has short-term memory loss and also is not good on his legs so he cannot be left alone. The Belmont have been really wonderful, making him feel cared for and comfortable.
His room is always clean, neat and tidy as he is. The food is excellent. He particularly likes the cakes!! The staff are always helpful and make you feel welcome when you visit. It is almost a 'home from home' and you would go a long way to beat The Belmont.

The tea in the tea trolley could improve, but the cakes are yum yum. The rooms, where the people are during the day, are easy going and friendly. I have had a meal with my mother and the food is good and well organised. People can wander around lounges resembling a house layout, which it is. Staff are
friendly and courteous.

My name is Michelle Fellowes, and I am the registered manager at Belmont Castle Care Home. I have worked in health and social care for 34 years, becoming a manager in 2008.


I am passionate about ensuring that each resident is at the centre of everything we do. As a team, we will continue to provide excellent person-centred care that enhances the lives of our community.


On a personal note, I got married in Sorrento, Italy, in 2008, and every year since, the magic of Italy has captured my heart for holidays. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I love getting to know new people.

I am very family orientated. Family and friends are always close to my heart. I enjoy days out, socializing, reading, and working alongside different communities as well as people from all different walks of life.
The lifestyle Lead role gives me so much fulfilment being able to share fun and laughter with our lovely residents. I’m so happy to see how the activities I arrange bring our residents joy, happiness and improve their overall wellbeing. If there was ever a perfect Role, mine is here at Belmont Castle.
