I entered this home over a year ago the best decision I have made for a long time. My late husband was a patient suffering from Alzheimer's and receiving very kind and attentive care always. I believe he was happy and comfortable, slept a lot but cheerful at first deteriorating later on, but as usual
with this disease very quiet and peaceful. He gradually failed to recognised friends towards the end of his life while he was in hospital missing the carers at this home.

My mother moved into Brookdale House in January 2017 this is her first experience in a care home setting. We were able to bring lots of things to help her feel at home. The staff worked in a coordinated way to settle her in. The standard of care is excellent, and there is sufficient resource to allow
time for the staff to spend interacting with residents separate from care duties. Communication between the home and family is excellent all the staff are well informed about each residents status and so I am confident about the information I receive at all times. There is a lovely at home atmosphere mum is happy there and so, therefore, we are too.
