Described as a ‘home from home,’ Woodland Court provides a range of care services including: residential, respite, day care and dementia care.

The charming three storey residential home is situated on the outskirts of the bustling market town of Fareham, neighbouring Portchester and its medieval castle.

All spacious and modern rooms are en-suite singles aside from two large and comfortable shared rooms. The communal areas and conservatory are relaxing and inviting, while the attractive garden can be enjoyed by the residents in the warmer months.

Woodland Court have an extensive list of entertainment and activities, created by an activities co-ordinator, which include regular singers and other entertainment, visiting libraries, a mobile tuck shop and ice cream van.

Good quality, nutritious food is a vital component for health and well-being which is why the food at Woodland Court is locally sourced and freshly prepared each day. A cook produces restaurant quality dishes, providing a balanced and interesting menu whilst also catering for special diets and preferences.

The staff here are fantastic, Mum's condition is such that she can be very difficult, and violent even at times but the staff are so patient and caring to her. I am so grateful that she is in this care home.

Friendly staff. Found in the last year an improvement. Loved the get-together 'ABBA' experience. There are no visitor toilets, not sure which we should use.

My mother is a resident at Woodland Court Care Home, the care and love she receives is absolutely outstanding. Nothing is too much bother. My mother is always treated with the most love, dignity and respect and I am always made to feel welcome by all the staff.

It's like a home away from home. All the staff are so friendly and care for Mum very well. It's not impersonal at all. The size of the home is perfect as everyone knows everyone. Very clean. Mum is treated with dignity. Very happy with everything.

Mam is well looked after at Woodland Court, the staff treat her with dignity and respect. They always give her choices, and even with her illness they never assume or make the decision for her. The care home communicates well with me, and always gives me updates on my visits. The staff are friendly,

Always helpful and go out of their way to make life easy for everybody (visitor and resident). The place is kept very clean and smells clean every day that I have been there.
My wife is quite happy in the home and the service is very good.

The staff are friendly and they look after my Mum well. I know she is safe and cared for. Any problems are dealt with fairly quickly. I appreciate that there is a lot of laundry to cope with but sometimes items take a long time before reappearing in the wardrobe.

My nan has been at Woodland Court for a while now I can't fault the home. Very clean, staff are fantastic. My nan is so well cared for. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is lovely, always homemade meals. I would highly recommend this home.

So pleased with how my dad is looked after. All his medical needs are dealt with promptly and effectively. The staff are very welcoming and caring and very respectful to all residents. They try and organise plenty of activities too. There is a very positive atmosphere whenever I visit.

Charlotte

Charlotte Harman

Job Title: Manager

Charlotte began her career at Woodland Court as a part-time Kitchen Assistant in 2006. After completing a fashion degree at Southampton University, Charlotte realised that care was her passion and returned to Woodland Court as a full-time carer. She progressed quickly and took on the role of Deputy Manager in January 2015 and then Manager in October 2017.


Charlotte is studying to gain her NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care and is very focused on providing a personalised living experience for all of the residents. Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family, as well as practising her hobbies: swimming, singing and drawing.
