East Hill House offers flexible residential and residential dementia care to meet individual requirements. The dedicated team works very closely with each of the residents, their families, and loved ones to ensure personally tailored care plans are put in place.

The home is ideally equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia, and their specialist dementia training highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment.

The home gives as much independence as possible, letting individuals choose how to run their life in the home, and if they prefer to have dinner in front of the TV, or even dust their own room, the staff will make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their bedroom, the team will be on hand to help to personalise it with the things they love.

Very good service. They have kept me informed on all matters regarding my stepfather. When he had a fall and needed a hip operation, I was kept posted and informed from the moment it occurred. Always nice and friendly when I call and ever so helpful. Very happy with all aspects of care being given.

The staff were always helpful and polite when we visited my late mother-in-law during the months we visited her at the care home. There were a number of staff that she held in high regard during the four years at the care home. I marked one rating 'poor' as she managed to escape the care home unattended
on three or four occasions.

The staff are consistently kind, compassionate, patient and good humoured. They love my sister despite her challenging behaviour at times and increasing confusion. They are family. She began living in The Court many years ago and is now in the main house. The consistency and continuity of care over
many years, together with the many varied and creative activities, is an absolute gift. As a family we are very grateful.

Our mum went into East Hill House Residential Care Home on 16th November 2020 and was there until she passed away on 30th August 2022. Mum's health deteriorated and needed full-time care. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her stay, really enjoyed the activities, animal interaction, taking part in the eating, especially
if chocolate was involved, all others from afar and trips out in the minibus. Mum enjoyed the company of others. Throughout her time with you, Mum always looked well presented and cared for and her room was always clean and fresh. I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication, they were all amazing. The support all the staff gave us when Mum was on end-of-life care was incredible and amazing.

Our Mother had been suffering from dementia that was getting progressively worse, it was becoming unsustainable for my sister to carry on caring for her. It’s an incredibly difficult decision to put a parent in a care home, however having seen how she was at East Hill, I have no doubt that she received
better care and a better quality of life than any of us could have provided ourselves. I can only rate the staff at East Hill as outstanding in every way, they went above and beyond in the care they provided. I have no hesitation in recommending East Hill if you are considering a place for a loved one.

Outstanding care given, always well informed by the members of staff on anything regarding my mother. Always warm and welcoming when visiting the home. Any requests we have are always fulfilled to the best of the home and staff's ability. My mother has become more settled and content since being in
the home. In a happy and relaxed environment. Offering lots of activities. When Covid allows us my children love all the events that are put on and spending that extra fun time with their nana.

East Hill House is an exceptional care home. We moved my Mum from another care home that we weren’t entirely happy with and we're so very glad we did. We felt the friendly atmosphere from the minute we walked up the gravel drive. The staff were all amazing and treated the residents like members of their
own family. The level of patience, care, and affection was unbelievably good, particularly for residents with dementia. It might not be the swishiest looking place, but it easily made up for it in kindness and concern for the residents and this is what really matters. We were really happy we made the move and were completely content that everything was done to make our Mum’s time there happy and comfortable, right to the end.

If I could write all the great things about East Hill House Residential Care Home I would need a bigger box. Mum was diagnosed at the age of 49 and Dad and I cared for her as much as we could at home and made the difficult decision to find a care home that could meet her needs. We called East Hill House
although it was almost an hour away, we had a visit and they took her in. She has been the happiest she has ever been, she's always clean and well dressed. The home itself feels like home and the staff are so friendly, patient and very approachable and easy to talk to, they knew exactly how to deal with Mum's moods, her emotions, her tantrums, everything. When the pandemic hit I was concerned as to how this would affect my mum and although I didn't see her for a long period of time they constantly allowed me to Skype her and would update me on anything they felt I needed to know. They truly are amazing and I owe everything to them.

My wife goes to the day care there, the staff are always friendly and very professional but they have a great sense of humour. Nothing is ever any issue and my wife looks forward to going there. She always goes out with the activity team having fun.

We had to wait for a vacancy to occur, but it was well worth the wait. My cousin is not the easiest person to care for, but the care she receives is excellent. We have noticed over the three years we have been visiting, how well she is looked after and the staff are excellent.

After East Hill House responded to our request for help, they offered us the use of their facilities to enable to perm our Grans' hair. Upon arrival, we were made to feel very welcome. All staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. My Gran said it had a very welcoming feeling as we went through
the door. They have invited us back anytime for visiting and to attend their daily activities or for a day's respite. My Gran may need more care in the future and would recommend East Hill House.

“I joined East Hill House four and half years ago as a domestic help. I then moved into the laundry, then the activities and wellbeing team, before becoming the home coordinator. I have recently taken on the role of Home Manager at East Hill House and feel my experience of different aspects of the home places me in a great position to lead the team here.


I love to be involved with the activities and events that we hold at East Hill House, as the best part of the job is my residents. Being with them and interacting in a meaningful way and supporting my team, which is a ‘good bunch’.


I love the local area. There are plenty of dementia-friendly activities happening, including walking football on Mondays and a dementia choir that our residents are involved in.”
