Thorngate Living's Russell Churcher Court residential care home was purpose built in 1993. It has plenty of bright communal areas and is set in its own grounds with well maintained tranquil gardens. The home's 44 modern self-contained flats all have their own front door opening onto a central corridor. Each of the mostly south-facing flats comprises a sunny bedsitting room, toilet, shower and a small kitchenette with a fitted refrigerator. Residents may prepare their own hot drinks if they wish. Thorngate Living encourages all residents to personalise their rooms with their own furniture and belongings to help them feel comfortable.

My husband has been in Russell Churcher Court for two years. During this time he has received excellent care from all the staff.
The manager and staff are always available to answer any questions that I need to ask.
My husband is very happy as much as one can expect.

The care home is very nice unfortunately my husband has very complex issues and so care cannot be given 24/7 and so anxiety was there with him most of the time, however, the care given one cannot fault.

I have been to a few other care homes, where my husband has been for a short stay for respite but in my opinion, they did not reach the same standard as Russell Churcher Court. Such a lovely, homely atmosphere, no problems at all.
All the staff are so kind and I spend quite a lot of time there.

Our mother moved into Russell Churcher Court earlier this year. She is very happy there and takes full advantage of all the facilities on offer. It puts our mind at rest knowing that she is living in such a caring environment.

Lovely care home, the staff ALL of them are so kind and caring to all residents, they are so good at keeping us informed of anything Dad needs. We were concerned about him needing to move to a home for his own safety but we could not have found a better home. Dad is happy, he has his own en suite room
and his own furniture.
Since moving there at the end of April Dad has got more life in him and he enjoys the activities.
Dad is so well looked after if I can't get in to see him I know he is quite safe where he is. He was unwell and had to go to hospital. I received a call as he was taken to hospital and the home and I kept each other up to date on what was happening. Dad has his dignity and respect which is very important. It is such a nice place. My daughter age 29 said she will move in after seeing the care and attention her Grampy gets. If anyone asked me I would say its the best home in Gosport.

The staff at this home have, over the last 4 years, looked after my mother who had vascular dementia. This condition became worse over time but never once did I hear a raised voice. Every member of staff worked with a smile and also treated visitors with respect and care. Their professionalism was exemplary.
They made my mother's last years more comfortable and manageable and I really cannot fault them in any way.

My husband is always met with a friendly greeting. He has the same room which makes him feel secure. The home has a relaxed atmosphere offering good food, various entertainment and excellent service at all times. He always comes home in good spirits which I think is a good advert for the home.

I am very grateful that my husband is in such good hands and would not wish him to be moved anywhere else. The staff are very kind to us both. They have been quick to obtain medical help frequently as he has deteriorated in health which gives me peace of mind.
