My brother has been a resident since November and I am so delighted with the excellent care and support he has received. During the past few months the staff team have worked extra hard to keep all residents in good health and provided an excellent service during difficult times. We are aware of how
all the staff team have worked together, with one aim to keep the residents safe and we applaud them from a distance.
We thank you too with your regular news letters, emails and phone calls to keep us update with events, that means so much when we are so far away.

Mum at 95 years young lives within the Assisted Living community. The staff at Sunrise have always been the most caring and lovely group of people, none more so than now. With the terrible situation that we all find ourselves in, I am blown away by this amazing team. They have moved mountains to keep
their residents and staff safe and well. As anxious families who have not seen their loved ones for many weeks, I really appreciate that we get regular and comprehensive updates from the senior team. Nothing is too much trouble for them and their love and devotion, sometimes at the expense of their own family life, has been beyond inspirational. Our family will be forever grateful for all that the entire team are doing, their selfless approach is still mixed with an essential blend of fun and humour. What on earth would we do without such Earth Angels? I have a huge amount of love and respect and gratitude for all they are doing. Thank you Team Sunrise of Fleet!

Like many daughters in the UK, I have been separated from my Mum since Covid-19 lockdown. Concerns about Mum contracting the illness have been made worse because she is in a care home, and because of the media commentary on care home supplies, protocols and levels of infection. However, Sunrise Living
has been brilliant from the start. Families have received regular and detailed information reassuring us that resources and procedures are in place, and iPads were purchased for family video chats. The staff have gone above and beyond, with some living away from their own families to support the residents. I have full confidence that Sunrise is doing everything possible to keep Mum safe, comfortable and happy in this troubling time.

We received very good care for my father during his stay of just 2 weeks, we were always very happy and enjoyed all the food he was given.
We all enjoyed the entertainment, he enjoyed joining in with music.
Reception was always very welcoming and always someone to greet you.

The facilities are first-class but, more importantly, all of the staff were caring and friendly, both to Mum and to us, her family. Mum even thanked me for finding such a lovely care home for her.

My father spent 17 days at Sunrise Fleet. He settled in well, mainly I think due to the gentle and sympathetic care he received. There was difficulty on day one when we felt that someone should have been present to help us unpack his possessions and explain to us how they would approach his care. We
felt left to our own devices with no support and no idea how to get dad a cup of tea or arrange his shower or generally fit in. However, from day two the care was excellent. Dad was showered and dressed daily, he had lunch in the dining room and sat in the lounge, then returned to his room where he was checked on regularly. He seemed happy and relaxed. Thank you to all of the care team. We felt confident that dad was being treated with care, dignity and thoughtfulness.

Care provided is excellent with a good range of activities. I think that sometimes the food could be a bit more basic i.e fewer rich sauces but generally, it is good. The rooms are good and the fact the residents can bring there own furniture is a real bonus and helps the resident feel like it's their
own home.

Sometimes (and understandably) laundry gets confused. Also, prices have crept up a bit excessively. Overall though it’s a really good home. The staff are fantastic.

Sunrise of Fleet sets out to provide a wide range of activities for residents, into which they can opt to participate or not as they see fit. The care offered is balanced between ensuring that infirmities are handled with sensitivity and discretion, whilst respecting the rights and wishes of the individual.


As

a home, it is always very welcoming and inclusive towards families. The staff are also very good at making families aware of any concerns that arise.


Meals are generally very good. However, there can be a lack of variety outside of the established menu.


Like many similar establishments, Sunrise has a population of residents who need occasional support throughout the day. Sometimes the time for staff to become available can be longer than desirable. A consistency of regular staff and familiar faces is a valued priority for this family.


The building has now been in use for some years. Some of the infrastructures in the public areas is starting to look a little tired.

Appreciate how difficult it must be maintaining staffing levels, but the care given by them is very good but they can’t be in 2 places at all times, so when they are dealing with one person, sometimes another has to wait, this is no fault of the staff.
The rooms are very well thought out and the decor
and quiet places around the top floor, have been nicely done. There are plenty of activities for those that are capable, and various interactions like singing and music for the least active.

I am very happy with the care being provided for my mother. I chose Sunrise to care for my mother for a number of reasons. It does not feel like a Care Home, it is much more like a hotel. It is a pleasant place to visit. The food is excellent, there is always a choice and it is varied. They have an
extensive list of daily activities and a lot of energy and thought goes into providing them. The care provided is excellent, there are some outstanding members of staff who act with amazing professionalism, compassion and also have a great sense of fun. They have also supported me when things have been difficult. If I have a concern there is always someone who I can approach. Staff are proactive in addressing my mother's needs and encourage her to be mobile and participate in activities. Overall I feel reassured that despite my mother's frailty, Sunrise is maximising her quality of life.

I joined the Fleet Hall family in 2019 and in 2022 I took over as the Business Administration Manager. I have over 20 years of legal and healthcare administrative experience and I am responsible for HR, finance and recruitment. Every day is different. I love meeting residents and their families and making sure all our staff are happy and feel valued, no matter what job they do. I am privileged to be part of an amazing team who are passionate about delivering exceptional person-centred care.

I have always had a passion for providing exceptional care and in May 2024 I was delighted to return to Fleet Hall as the Dementia Care Manager. With over 10 years in the care sector, I bring a passion for improving the lives of those with dementia through empathy and innovative strategies. I'm excited to enhance the quality of life for our residents and work alongside our extraordinary and dedicated team.

I started working at Fleet Hall in 2021 as a care assistant in the Assisted Living neighbourhood, during this time I trained to administer medications and was promoted to a Senior Care Assistant. In June 2024 I was then given the opportunity to be the Residential Care Manager which is such a rewarding role and following 6 years in the care sector I have found my passion. I feel honoured to work with our amazing and committed team here to improve the quality of life for our residents.

I have three decades of knowledge and experience in catering in many different settings.


I am particularly passionate about fresh seasonal produce and its nutritional contribution to a well-balanced diet.

I have been very lucky to work at Fleet Hall for nearly 20 years next year as Lead Concierge. I have a great team on Concierge and enjoy meeting residents and their families, it’s a very rewarding job and each day is varied. We have a great team at Fleet Hall that I thoroughly enjoy working with and being part of a team that is very passionate about providing the best care.

Job Title: Wellbeing Manager

Joined: 2015

I started working at Fleet Hall in the Reminiscence neighbourhood supporting residents living with Dementia. I worked as a senior carer for 5 wonderful years before being given the opportunity to become the Activity Manager. I really enjoy getting the residents involved in all we have to offer in our daily activity programme.


We run numerous clubs including Knitting, singing, cookery and gardening. We organise a variety of outings including boat trips, theatre trips, lunches and picnics and our country rides on the minibus are always very popular as many residents are local people and enjoy the scenery. I’m lucky to be part of such an incredible team across all departments who always go over and above.
