Woodley Grange has recently been refurbished to the highest standards and using the latest dementia design principles, which they have found to have a hugely positive impact on residents. The home boasts spacious, mainly en-suite rooms plus several comfortable lounges that offer a variety of views and atmospheres.

It was a home from home for my mother! Very supportive staff especially when mum was poorly. Supported me when I needed extra help and provided guidance. Lovely facilities, lovely food, loving staff, a community spirit.

When we needed help/advice when very disturbed, confused and upset about Mum's care needing to be put into expert hands, Woodley Grange were there to advise and help in every way. They helped mum to adjust, and me as a very concerned daughter. She has adjusted very well and integrated wonderfully, her
needs change as time goes on and are always accommodated. All the facilities/amenities are wonderful in all ways.

When my Dad came to Woodley Grange I was amazed at how attentive all the staff were, nothing was too much trouble and that extended to the family as well.
His room is big, light and airy and always clean.
The choices of food are always delicious.

I have been impressed with the professionalism, kindness, courtesy and pure humanity shown by all the staff. I don't only mean the carers who really have that as part of their job description, but also the support staff - cleaners, kitchen staff, activities staff, maintenance. As I only live a few minutes
away, I have been able to visit my mother very frequently and at different times of the day and week. So when I see the home it is "as it is". There is no possibility of a show or stage management and I rarely saw anything that disturbed me. What I liked was if I did raise a point, either via email/phone to the manager or verbally to a member of staff, then there tended to be a response and solution within a short while - often the same day.

My mother joined the home in August. She came from another care home. The move was necessary due to serious issues. Since mum's arrival, she has been made to feel welcomed by all staff and especially by the manager. She is very happy indeed. There are other ladies she can chat to. Very happy environment
and relaxed.

My mother had excellent 'end of life' care at Woodley Grange. Her welfare was of the greatest importance in every way from all the staff, we couldn't have asked for better.
The family were always welcome to visit day or night and given much needed support at a very sad time. My mother was a resident
for two and a half years and always said she was very happy there.

My sister and I have always been delighted with the care our mother received and any health problems were

My sister was in hospital and I was told that she could no longer live alone. I came to Woodley Grange and I liked the outside straight away. It was modern. I was shown around and met the staff.
The building was clean and tidy and the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Her room
was large and all the facilities were excellent. The only reason she is moving is that she now has to go to a nursing home.

My parents moved to Woodley Grange in July 2017 primarily because of my father’s stroke and Parkinson’s, but also because of my mother's recently diagnosed Alzheimer’s. Neither I nor they would or could find any fault the standard of care, attention to detail, quality of food or cleanliness. The staff
could not be better and I was very sorry that due to the change in care requirements we had to leave. The nursing home they are moving to has a lot to live up to!
I would recommend Woodley Grange to anyone!

I have found the staff extremely helpful and very professional at all times. They have been so kind to Mum and looked after her needs. She seems to have settled very well in this lovely environment.

Loraine

Loraine Tabbner

Job Title: Manager

Joined: 2015

Loraine joined Woodley Grange in May 2015 as our Head of Care. She achieved her QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care in 2018 and has since pursued further qualifications, including obtaining her Level 5.


Additionally, Loraine has undergone training in the 6 steps of End of Life Care and Champion Other Carers.


Loraine always goes above and beyond to take great care of our residents and their families. Her passion and dedication led to her well-deserved promotion to Manager in December 2023.


Loraine has 2 children, 2 grandchildren and a beautiful dog called Ollie, and adores them all. She enjoys football, walking and eating out.


Rebecca

Rebecca Newton

Job Title: Head Of Care

Rebecca, known to us as Becky, is highly experienced with 16 years in the care industry. Since joining Woodley Grange in 2017 as a carer, she has progressed to Senior Care Team Manager and is now Head of Care.


Becky has completed her L5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. She has also taken on the role of End of Life champion for the home.


Becky loves animals and is kept very busy in her spare time with her 3 lovely children, her dog called Dave, a cat named Tilly, as well as 2 rabbits and 2 hamsters.

Anne Miller

Job Title: Accounts

Joined: 2007

Anne joined Homes as our bookkeeper in 2007 making a change from working for engineering and construction companies.


Anne enjoys the Home and the company of the residents and often stays on into the evenings for a chat. She relishes learning snippets of unofficial first-hand history.


County walks have always been her pastime and she regularly takes one of the scenic routes commuting to and from Woodley Grange.

With over 20 years of experience as a painter and decorator, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He is committed to maintaining the highest standards of upkeep and safety, ensuring that our residents enjoy an outstanding living environment.


As a dedicated family man, he cherishes spending time with his two children and two dogs. In his spare time, Andrew is a martial arts enthusiast and enjoys cycling to stay active and fit. He also has a love for sci-fi, playing the drums, and rocking out to heavy metal music.

Terri Chadwick joined Woodley Grange as our fantastic Activities Coordinator in May 2024.


She studied Business, Leisure and Tourism Management and brings this valuable experience to her role, creating fun and engaging leisure activities that are a big hit with our residents.


Terri lives locally in Romsey and was brought up in Totton. In her spare time, she enjoys going swimming and spending time with her friends and family.
