Woodlands is a thirty-nine-bedroom residential care home with an excellent reputation in the Fleet community for the consistently high standards of elderly care it achieves. The home was rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC in 2019.

Trained carers provide 24-hour care and support for the residents, helping to support them in their chosen lifestyle choices and care needs. Residents' dignity and independence are respected at all times. There is a full activities and social programme for residents to participate and enjoy.

Outside, the home has large scenic gardens with a sheltered courtyard in the centre and an active gardening club. Elsewhere, there are level lawns, fish ponds and woodland with its own bluebell glade, all accessible by flat wheelchair friendly paths.

The residents are at the heart of the home, helping the chefs chose the menus and creating the activities programmes with the activities coordinator. Woodlands is a happy home, where the residents' happiness and welfare come first.

Mum has been at Woodlands for 3 months and has settled in very well.
The staff are very kind and made the transition from our care to theirs with compassion and understanding.
The home and Mum's room is always very clean and tidy. Mum has always enjoyed her food and is fed very well.
Overall, everybody
involved works hard to make Woodlands a really nice place to live.

Mum entered Woodlands after her dementia required her to be looked after. She had a beautiful room, always kept very clean and well organised.
Her behaviour, as the dementia, progressed became more challenging - but the staff were patient and always treated her with respect and she always told me she
was happy there and didn't want to move.
The management staff kept me updated on mum's health and condition and were so approachable and caring. Mum passed away in July and they were very supportive.

I looked at several care homes locally and chose Woodlands because it seemed a very homely, friendly care home.
My mum has not looked as well as she does in a long time.
The home is lovely and clean generally and her room is clean and tidy.
My mum always looks clean and tidy and she is obviously
well fed and enjoys the food.
The staff are attentive and kind and obviously work as a team.
We can visit at any time and any questions or queries are always addressed promptly.
Nothing is too much trouble and the staff always look happy.
I would recommend Woodlands to anyone needing a home for their relative.

Happy residents, excellent full-time staff (no agency workers). Always feel welcome when visiting.


Rooms and furnishings very much suit the current elder generation, and the gardens must be seen to be believed.


A perfect all round home, hope it'll be mine one day!!

My mother has been living here for nearly a year. She herself is very happy here and has settled in well. I have 3 siblings and we are all very happy with Woodlands. The staff are all very good and nothing is too much trouble.

My mother-in-law has lived at Woodlands for over 5 years. During that time she has been treated with dignity and compassion The care is wonderful and all the staff are lovely. Everyone at Woodlands knows my mother-in-law as the home only employs permanent staff and never uses agency staff. My mother-in-law
has really benefitted from living at Woodlands and feels happy living there.

Woodlands have cared for my uncle in an outstanding way. All the staff really make an effort to care for the residents who live at Woodlands. He really enjoys the garden and trips out to the pub and garden centre with the other residents!

A better more caring and considerate care home would be hard to find. The staff are all so very polite, helpful, they are all so dedicated to giving their absolute best in the most knowledgeable way possible. My Mother has always been treated with the utmost dignity and respect. I have received regular
updates on my Mother's care needs, health issues, not to mention fantastic support to myself and family when Mother has been feeling under the weather. Each day and every day there is at least one activity for residents to join in with, in the morning and again in the afternoon, if the resident wishes. The activities vary greatly from cookery, art & craft, playing cards, playing skittles, the list is endless. There are also trips out to garden centres, the local town centre and sometimes a local public house. All dietary needs, likes and dislikes are catered for, which is all lovingly cooked in the kitchen. The recent CQC rating of 'OUTSTANDING' should read ' Better than Outstanding'.

Right from the first contact two and a half years ago through to today, the Woodlands team has always provided a high level of professionalism combined with genuine concern and affection for the residents. The home itself feels like a comfortable private home. We, the family, feel very fortunate that
our relative is in such a pleasant place with such excellent care.

The home provides a very friendly and caring service. The staff are all efficient and I would describe the overall atmosphere of the home as being down to earth and as near as being vert much like the family home. The rooms are well-maintained. There is not a constant turnover of staff makes the residents
content. The managers are very much hands on and they are friendly but firm, with their staff.

Woodlands is like home from home. Visitors are welcome without appointments and I have always been kept up to date with the care of my mother and mother-in-law either face to face or other means. Both of my relatives are very happy and are treated with dignity and respect and I can rest easy knowing
they are in a safe and cared for environment. The staff know all the residents well and meet their individual needs. Woodlands is a small care home that offers the highest standard of care.

As a regular visitor to my mum over the last 5 years, I think that I can speak from a truly balanced and experienced viewpoint. We moved mum from her hometown in Nottinghamshire, several years ago now, away from her friends and down to Hampshire to Woodlands which is nearer to where I live. At 87 years
old, 'a couple of years at best' was muted by some friends and members of family, however, 5 years on and at 92 years she is still as content and happy as she was when she arrived. You just can't wish for a better home for mum; the staff are brilliant, dedicated, attentive and caring. If this is not enough, I regularly receive a constant update on mum's well-being and state of health, in addition to endless support to me and my family when mum's health has not been so good. So, in summary, I challenge anyone to find a better home for someone you love. A very bold statement, but just look if a Care Home you are looking at has been rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC - Woodlands has been.

I left the NHS where I was Ward Manager of an elderly care unit at the Royal Free Hospital when I assumed control of Woodlands & Hill Brow Ltd following my mother's retirement in 1998.


I am immensely proud of the standards of care we achieve and the family ethos and feel which runs through the heart of our homes.
