Brookvale House is a 35-bed care home registered for persons who do not require nursing care. 22 rooms have a WC ensuite, with the remaining 13 rooms having a sink in the room. Each bedroom has individually controlled heating and access to television points.

The home has benefited from the creation of additional lounge areas that allow residents to spend time in a variety of social and quiet areas. It also allows areas of privacy outside of a resident’s bedroom where they can have a nice quiet conversation over tea with their visitors. Furthermore, Brookvale House has bespoke facilities spanning over two floors, and a beautiful garden for relaxation.

My mother has been at Brookvale, for nearly a year, after a terrible time in hospital. We were recommended Brookvale by several people, one of them, a health professional. As you can imagine, this was a major upsetting decision. As a close family, to see a person you love so much go into care, after
being so independent, the good part of their life and Brookvale has lived up to every aspect, as it was recommended to me! The manager is so compassionate and caring and is always there for help. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to make Mum's daily living requirements, simple and easy for her needs. Her room is near to the garden and she loves this as she can still see the beautiful garden and people coming and going. They have wonderful social activities host and I'm sure her social life is better than mine! My mother is happy and settled at Brookvale and it's peace of mind, twelve months on, that we did make the right decision for Mum and her wellbeing! In my eyes, 10/10, for Brookvale!

My sister is very well looked after, with sympathy and understanding. She is extremely happy and contented to be at Brookevale House. Nothing is too much trouble and all her needs, seem to be taken care of.

My sister has been living at Brookvale House for some years now. The staff seem to be very caring. I feel there are not as many staff as when my sister first came to Brookvale. There has been a few occasions when I feel that not enough care, perhaps from the night staff, with her morning care i.e.,
dressing and personal care. I have spoken to the day staff about my concerns and informed that it would be the night staff because my sister, probably would be up early. Overall, the care from all the day staff is good. Thank you, to all the staff.

We were initially anxious, as a family, about Mum going into a care home. However, from the outset, the manager and all the staff, were so lovely and did everything they could to help Mum feel settled and ourselves, reassured. All staff are very friendly and helpful, never too busy to make time to answer
any questions or address any concerns with regards to Mum's welfare. Mum has a nice, bright, airy room and we are happy she is safe and being well cared for. We recently attended a very well organised Halloween tea party, which provided a lovely afternoon for residents and their families.

Homely, friendly, caring and always keeps the family well-informed and involved. Any health concerns are always quickly resolved. As a family, we are all very happy that Dad calls this home. Lovely garden, the residents can use and activities for residents.

My dad is so happy at Brookvale. It is a very special place and the carers are all exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble and it feels like home from home. There are lots of activities and everyone has a chance to enjoy something they possibly wouldn't have had access to, before coming to Brookvale.
I know that this lovely home has made my dad's world so much better and that makes me happy too. Well done Brookvale and thank you!

A fabulous afternoon with the residents and Mum for a Halloween dance. The activities coordinator is amazing and the band were terrific. Lots of dancing and laughter. Well done Brookvale Care Home.

Such a warm, welcoming. Made my father feel like royalty. The facilities are fantastic and cover all manner of activities. The room was tailored to suit my father and make it homely. Nothing seems too much for the staff and management. I feel reassured my father will thrive in this environment.

Mum felt very comfortable at Brookvale House. All the staff were professional, caring and considerate of her needs. Despite Covid, they made visiting mum as easy and as safe as possible, usually in their beautiful tranquil garden.
I couldn't fault their compassion, patience and dedication to all that
they did. You were always greeted with a welcome smile whenever I visited and would like to thank them personally to all their staff for their commitment to mums care.

We have been very impressed with mums care and she has been very happy at Brookvale, she has often commented on how kind the staff are and how well she's looked after. But sadly due to mum's mobility and extra needs now she has had to move to a nursing home which we are really sad about but will never
forget Brookvale and the wonderful staff.

My mother-in-law has only been at Brookvale three weeks, and she has come on leaps and bounds. It is a lovely care home. The staff are great, and there's always someone on hand to reassure you. Would highly recommend this lovely care home.

My mum seems really happy there. She likes most of the staff. When I visited, she was well presented, and her room was very clean and tidy. She likes the food and snacks. She has settled in well and does not ask to come home now.
