St Elizabeth home is so lovely and welcoming. My grandad is currently living here, and I feel very content and happy with the care and support he is getting; with being his carer, I was very anxious about where his new home would be, and I wanted the right support for him and his needs, at St Elizabeth,
the staff have made me feel very relaxed and reassured me every step of the way.

My grandad has been a resident here since April and can’t thank the staff enough for everything they do. Lovely home and staff; grandad has really settled so well, but nice to see the improvements of the home in progress.

As the Power of Attorney for a resident who has made St Elizabeth their home for the last two years (and hopefully many more to come), I cannot speak highly enough of St Elizabeth. The commitment shown by the owner and his team to create a warm family atmosphere that feels like a 'real home from home
is second to none; this has been especially important during the last twelve months of lockdown. Being a small care home, the staff at St Elizabeth understand the induvial needs of every resident extremely well - something so important, but sadly not always possible in a larger care setting. Residents are treated with compassion, dignity, care and respect, and it is clear this is highly valued by both the residents and their families. I have always experienced open lines of communication with staff who are keen to learn background information that can help them to support residents. The staff at St Elizabeth are truly amazing - each and everyone going above and beyond on a daily basis.

My husband's Grandmother has been a resident for the last 2 years but sadly passed away this morning.

I'm sure the family would want me to express their thanks to the owners, managers and all the staff.
They have done such a great job in caring for her over the last 2 years and we have all been

so pleased with our choice of carers for her. It's been an unfussy, really human home for her, with lovely warm relationships and absolutely the right place for the time that remained to her.
Most of the family have seen her in the last few days in hospital or back at the home where she was returned for end of life care. She was comfortable, in familiar surroundings, with people who had cared for her and were able to provide the best support for her and for the family. Whilst there will be tears, her passing was both peaceful and (as best as it can be) at the right time for her. We are so very grateful for all that the staff of St Elizabeth's have done for her and for us.

Myself and my sisters are very happy with the care my brother has in the home. I can't fault the home or the staff. They are all caring, happy ladies, they can't do more for my brother, he is happy there, safe and clean. If I need to ask anything about my brother the girls are so helpful, our sisters
have no worries about how he is, he is happy and cheerful.
I would like to thank all the staff in St Elizabeth home for looking after my brother, they are really lovely caring ladies. Worth their weight in gold. Bless them

I think the staff at the care home go beyond every day what they have to.
I have always found them so cheerful and helpful.
If anybody should ask I would most certainly recommend St Elizabeth's. It has recently been taken over and the new manager that has worked there forever is so caring and always
good with the residents. She is doing a brilliant job.

My mother has been at St Elizabeth since October 2015. I feel very grateful and at ease knowing she is somewhere that caters for her individual needs. There is a very low turnover of care staff which says a lot about good management too. All the staff are aware of my mother, her needs, abilities and
eccentricities coupled with dementia and mental health issues. I have met other relatives of previous residents of St. Elizabeth and they also speak very highly of its commitment to individual care, dignity and rapport with residents.

Staff are very friendly and caring to the residents. Meals are excellent, accommodation is adequate considering the age of the property.
Could be more activities, but realise this must be hard to organise with elderly people with dementia.
Overall, care very good, must be very difficult with problem
folk.

It was a heartbreaking decision for my husband to go into a residential home. From the outset, the owner and staff showed enormous compassion to make his stay as easy as possible. Each visit I am greeted by friendly staff and smiles.
Information from staff is easy and I feel that I can approach them
at all times.

My mother first went to St Elizabeth for respite care for a short time. The whole experience of the place and the staff has been a pleasant one. The whole team are excellent, the atmosphere is very cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. The care and attention clearly show how dedicated the staff
are. There is a sense of calm and a relaxed feeling. My mother's room is always clean, fresh and has everything that she needs. Public areas are comfortable and she enjoys the lounges and the activities provided. The meals are fresh, well cooked and nutritious. Mum is very content here and it's all thanks to the management and team at this home. It is now 7 weeks later and she is still there and happy to be so.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.567)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.567) out of 10 for St Elizabeth is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.867 for St Elizabeth is calculated as follows: ( (73 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.867

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Elizabeth is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 17 registered maximum number of service users is 3.4, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
